Chapter 48: Mr. Brown's Story

Mr. Brown took his son by the hand and entered through the large gates with the winged emblem on top. While his son saw through his eyes a sign of freedom and flight in that emblem, the father, aged fast by hardships, only saw the sign of a bird trapped in a cage. Even so, the father-son duo walked through those gates to start over.

To no surprise, Mr. Brown was assigned to the garden in the Annex, and warned about the Prince. Neither did he know about the full story behind the Prince, nor did he feel it important to pry about it. All he felt that he needed to know was that he better stay as far as possible from him. And so he told his son to do the same.
