SKY 17: "Say Ahh"

I returned to my seat and Caylus just looked at me.

It's like he is waiting for me to say something to him, or maybe explain what just happened a while ago. I myself is also not sure why Delice suddenly did such thing, I'm also as surprised as he is.

I don't like how he kept staring at me so I decided to tell him what just happened but instead of me talking first, he took his handkerchief that was inside his inner coat and wiped the side of my lips where Delice left a kiss.

I was stunned by his sudden action and I could see in his face that he is irritated. He was murmuring words but I couldn't hear them properly since the next presenter are already on the dance floor and the music was so loud.

"Asshole... He knows that she came with a date yet decided to make a move on her right in front of me, jerk."

I don't want him to misunderstanding anything so told him that I was also surprised with what happened a while ago, "a-about a while ago... Err... I was also surprised why Delice suddenly did such thing an-"

"So his name is Delice huh?"

"Yeah. I think I have mentioned him to you before on the phon-"

"Yeah, the 'GREAT DANCER' and knows how to guide a lady," Caylus emphasized the 'great dancer' with his fingers while making a face and rolling his eyes.

"You saw it too you know, we dance a while ago, "I said

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. He is indeed a 'GREAT DANCER' my ass," Caylus huffed ad crossed his arms in his chest together.

"I was barely holding myself not to rush in between your dance to you separate you too since you guys were too close for a dance," he said in a low voice and I only could hear the last four words he said.

"Pstt love birds, our principal dearest is looking at our table," Febonee said and pouted pointing at our principal's table where she was indeed staring at us with her eyebrows meeting each other.

Uh-oh, I forgot she hates PDA things and people not paying attention to programs, I'm skrewed this Monday.

I pat Caylus lapped to stop him from sulking for I don't know what reason and focused on the presentation. Everything was smooth and clean, the dances prepared were pretty nice. And then it was dinner.

Oh yes, this is literally what I have been waiting for.

FOOD!

We student council picked the food to served on the tables ourselves. We made sure that it was something no one is allergic to and of course the taste is magnificent. We had it served at tables instead of buffet because knowing how many boys we have, I don't think it could even serve everyone.

Once the food was served, the smell instantly went in my nose making my stomach growl.

It was loud alright

Everyone at our table heard that growling noise I made and stared at me, they eventually laughed and go on with their business.

Well except Caylus who was laughing at me.

"If you were hungry in the first place you could've told me so I could prepare you some snacks to eat," he said while picking some food from the center of our table and placing them on my plate.

"I wasn't hungry in the first place but when I smelled the food being served at our table it made my stomach hungry. I swear," I pouted and looked at him telling him that I am obviously telling the truth. Well sort of. I was just a little, just a little okay, hungry after dancing.

He didn't look convinced with what I said, " I promise I wasn't lying."

Not sure if Caylus actually believed that but he said, " Alright, let's just say you're not lying."

"I swear!"

"Okay, okay, I believe you," he said and continue cutting the steak on my plate.

I didn't even notice that he was cutting my steak to pieces to make it easier for me. Once he was done cutting them he imitated the 'ahh' sound in his mouth pertaining for me to follow him.

"Say ahh," Caylus said while bringing the piece of steak to my mouth.

I don't know why my mouth moved by itself that I end up letting Caylus feed me almost the whole time of the meal. I just realized that Caylus hasn't been eating and was just feeding me like a baby the whole time until I heard Emery by the side.

"Awhh, so sweet," Emery said exaggeratingly.

"Ants will surely nest on you guys," Emery added and continued devouring her cheesecake.

I quickly grabbed the utensils that Caylus has been holding and feed myself. I didn't bother turning to Caylus because I am badly embarrassed and so that he could finally eat.

"Oh come on Emery, you're just bitter," Nere told Emery teasingly but Emery just rolled her eyes in reply.

The food was great and I'm currently in my second piece of cheesecake. Actually, this is Caylus serving's but he gave it to me after I devoured mine real quick and was just staring at his share afterward. I didn't expect him to give me his, he just out of nowhere handed me his cheesecake and smiled at me knowing I wanted his cheesecake too bad.

"Guys let's take photos in the photobooth," Nere said as she stood up from her chair and grabbed Rain's hand dragging him to the photo booth station.

We gathered in the photo booth and took lots of pictures. There were photos of us, three girls, then with Febonee, people from our class, some batchmates joining in, and a group photo with our partners.

When the photo booth was less crowded already and they got their photos they returned back to their seats leaving Caylus and I alone in the photobooth. I didn't ask Caylus to take some couple pictures since I don't know if he would like too but it would be nice to keep a souvenir of this special day.

I was about to head back to our table when Caylus grabbed my hand and dragged me to the photo booth station. He pressed the start button and the machine started to count from ten to zero.

I was shocked that he wanted to take some photos and brought back to my senses when he placed a cowboy hat on my heat, "smile gorgeous," he said and took some shades from the table and put them on. The count down was already at three and so we post for the first shot.

Afterward, I just enjoyed my time with Caylus in the photobooth station since it was just the two of us here. We took so many photos together and Caylus in all those photos looked really handsome despite he was making weird faces or when he wore some funny accessories.

The photo booth station is located outside the event room so we totally had no idea that the program has already resumed. It was only when Caylus and I decided to head back in when the lights only focused in the center where there were candidates for Mr. and Ms. Prom Night.

We silently made our way to our table trying to get noticed by our principal, I was only praying for luck, and thank god luck was on my side.

The people at our table looked at us suspiciously on where have we been or why are we late, but knowing my four crazy-minded best friends they probably are imagining something weird or crazy.

I didn't mind explaining knowing them who doesn't take such explanations seriously when it comes to these kinds of situations. Instead, I just put my whole attention on the current event.

There were strong candidates from different sections especially in the Q and A part, but in the end, our class won second place and the section before us won the title of Mr. and Ms. Prom Night. It was a good show and next up are special awards to the students.

The awards vary from best dressed, couple of the night, head-turner of the night, best smile, and many more.

Nere and Rain won couple of the night, while Febonee and Emery won the best smile and best dressed. Well, those two were expecting to get some awards tonight since they were prepared for this day. I wasn't expecting anything but when I heard my name I was surprised to the point that I was just there frozen and I couldn't believe I will be getting an award. It was only when Nere and Emery said that I should hurry since Delice is waiting.

Yes, Delice is waiting and I don't know how I should face him after what happened a while ago.

The award was the best couple dance partner of the night.

They handed us our award and ask us to post for some pictures. I didn't look at Delice the entire time we are standing this close to each other, even when he wrapped his arm on my waist for the photo.

"Nice," the photographer said once he was done taking a photo of us.

Delice was about to say something but I have no courage to face him today and just hurriedly returned to my seat.

My friends congratulated me for getting an award while Caylus was looking at Delice giving him some deadly stares.
