The Mythical City

Peak hits had already deepened the opening between the great block of stone and the wall on the left side, and now efforts were directed towards the bottom corner, with the aim of opening a gap to put in it iron bars and leveraging with them, to move the door, or infiltrate through the gap when it had the necessary size. They constantly watched the rock edge, to verify if with the light of the lamps they could already see on the other side. One of the pawns, working in the spot said he felt sick and was evacuated to the outside of the tunnel system to allow for his recovery. Once outside, he moved quietly towards the forest and got lost in the shadows. Other workers who were fulfilling their functions on the site thought he was going to vomit or defecate.
