CHAPTER 13
NUNAVUT
The Canadian North flight arrived on time. Mr. Ludwig Metzler was waiting for them at the Taloyoak airport as he had agreed with Ingo. Metzler was a man about fifty years old, fat and plump, his blond hair tightly combed back. He wore thermal clothes including a fur parka with the hair inside. The local received the newcomers both ceremoniously and cordially. Ingo made the introductions.
“Have you had a good trip?” Asked rhetorically Metzler. “In general there are no problems in this part of the year. Please join me in the lobby.”
“I have rented four snowmobiles. They are Russian-made and have been heavily used, but I think they are our best option to go back and forth to the place we are heading. There are some helicopters but once they leave you they return to make further trips so you cannot count on them all the time. Also renting them is very expensive.” Metzler then looked at the visitors and asked them.
