CHAPTER 14
YELLOWKNIFE
In Taloyoak they boarded the Canadian North flight to Yellowknife that departed that afternoon, in order to stay in the city that night and take the following day an Air North plane to Ottawa. Metzler left them to take instead a flight to Winnipeg departing the same day.
The small 15 passenger plane landed without incident and after saying good-bye to Metzler the rest of the travelers took a taxi to the hotel they had booked in advance. Once they occupied the three rooms they left their luggage in them and went to dinner together at a nearby restaurant. Jack suffered a strong lumbago product from the cold weather and the sleigh ride, so he decided to stay at the hotel lying on bed. Upon returning from the restaurant they parted until the next day as they were all exhausted by the intense activities they had carried on that day.
