CHAPTER 27
THE TREASURE OF THE MAYAS
The finding produced a remarkable positive psychic reaction among the members of the expedition. A magnetic influence extended among pawns as they found themselves in the presence of the gods of their ancestors. Among the travelers spread a momentary breathlessness by the magnitude of the work that was before their eyes followed by a joy that only great triumphs can arouse. The results of much time, energy and resources used were at hand.
Ingo and Chuck were discussing what was the best point of the base of the pyramid to start looking for the entrance to the underground passage which was referred to in the runic inscription. Lakshmi addressed them.
“What is the problem? Didn´t the runes say the entrance was near one of the corners of the base? The base appears to be a rectangle.”
“Aye, we do not know though which is the starting vertex.”
