CHAPTER 28
WAR SOUNDS
The next morning Lakshmi woke up at around eleven o'clock a.m. She saw that only Nancy was still asleep.
“Who said that vodka does not cause hangover.” Asked plaintively.
“Nobody that I know of. I never heard such a thing.” Lucas answered as he happened to walk in front of her tent.
“In spite of the years spent in this country I never got used to its alcoholic habits.” The woman stood up with some difficulty and left the tent, and as she was still a little dizzy she bumped into Ingo.
“What are you doing so early with a shovel in your hand?”
“We´ll cover the ground on the tunnel entrance the best possible and scatter some tree branches over the parts of the pyramid we have brought to light.”
“And you will do that at this hour?”
“I woke up already three hours ago.”
“How horrible it must be to live with your Icelandic genes! You cannot fight with cross-cultural issues. And I dare to give advice to Nancy.”
“What do you say? What advice?”
