The Runway

A week later, people are setting up for a fashion show. An eighteen-year-old girl walks up onto the runway and looks around the room. She is a thin girl with olive skin and long brown hair. She smiles. "Nervous, Daniela?" A voice asks behind her.

She turns and sees her cousin. "Sasha!" she shouts hugs her cousin. "What are you doing here?"

Sasha is a twenty-year-old woman with pale skin, a slim body, and short black hair. "I heard that my little cousin is going to be leading the show this year since this is your final year in the program."

Daniela smiles, "Yeah," she turns and looks out to where the audience will sit. "I heard that the broadcaster would get a bonus for the person's college fund, so I signed up right away."

"And I heard that Rio is going to be the pianist for the show tomorrow," Sasha said.

"Yeah, my little brother will be playing. He is the best," she says. She sees all of the models coming out to the stage and notices something is missing, "Uh, where is Betty?"

"She must be still in her dressing room," answers one of the girls.

Daniela sighs and looks at one of the male models. "Louie, can you go and get Betty to please?" Louie nods and leaves to get Betty. "Ok, now everyone, we are going to work our entries to the stage. My little brother couldn't make it to play the song for us, so I brought a recording of the song that will be played tomorrow. We'll start with one person going at a time, then two people walking down at a time. The two will be wearing male and female outfits of the same style. After that, we'll move on to the top five outfits. By the five people, we all voted for the walks." She pulls out some papers. "I got the list here of what will be happening." She hands them out to everyone.

"Someone call 911 now," calls out Louie as he runs out to the stage. Everyone looks at him. "Betty is dead."

Twenty minutes later, there are cops all over the place. Butch and Chelsea are looking over the body. "Ok, there are no wounds on the body," Butch says. "But there is the blood that came from the nose."

Chelsea walks over to a glass resting on the table and picks it up. "Looks like she was drinking something. I'll run some tests on it." She spins around the room, looking for something. "But where is the bottle that had the drink in it?"

Nozomi enters the room. "Ok, so according to some of the models, Betty Cook is one of the top models for the show tomorrow night."

"This fashion show is a program for those to get extra credit and money for college," Chelsea says. "And this one is being led by my daughter."

"I just spoke to Daniela and Sasha as she came to visit," Nozomi says.

Butch smiles as he gets up. "My daughter loves to keep an eye out for her cousin. I'll get the body to my examination table and find out the cause of death."

"And I'll keep prospecting the crime scene," Chelsea says.

"I'll see if I can gather any more witnesses that might have seen someone," Nozomi says and goes to question more people.

At the team base, Gudmund and Ashton are looking over information on Adolf Krueger. "Butch found tiny nano-bots inside Adolf's body?" Gudmund asks.

"Yep, and we found out that Klaus brought him here to gather data," Ashton answers. "We found his laptop and passports, and we found a message to him. It was from Klaus, and Klaus wanted his cousin to gather some details."

"And he was in Norway as well," Maisie says, showing them a photo of Klaus in Norway. "This was taken last month, just two days after your grandparents died."

Gudmund looks at the photo and sees the date when it was taken. "Find out if he was there before my grandparents died."

"But I thought your grandparents died from some kind of flu?" Ashton asks.

"While I was there, I asked for a toxic report on my grandparents. Once I got it back, I knew Klaus killed them. I told my father that, and he told me not to tell the family. So far, only my dad, my sister, Hakon, and Knut know that they were murdered."

"Now we must find a way to prove how they were murdered," Ashton says.

"Yes, and let's try and keep track of him. Let's go back to his cousin. How did nano-bots kill him?" Gudmund asks.

"Chelsea found some in Adolf's bloodstream that didn't explode or get damaged. It's like they were meant to kill without a trace," Ashton answers.

"There was also a small nano-cam on his left eye," Maisie says, showing the photo on the monitor. "Until he died, the camera was transmitting many full recordings of what he had been doing. Once he died, the camera stopped working. I tried to see if I could get a trace on it, but I can't. Whoever made this knows what he or she was doing."

Gudmund looks at the monitor. "He was brought into this country to learn more things about us, but I think he was just supposed to be inside the building and have us die with him. I believe he was a walking time bomb."

Ashton starts to think aloud, "If so, why didn't he blow up when there were a lot of cops around? Or when he entered the building?"

"Because he was a test, and I am sure there will be more of him. Klaus and his partners are using some military tactics to take us down." Gudmund says, believing that is what Klaus is planning.

Later, Derek and Elena went to visit Betty Cook's house to speak to her parents. Mrs. Cook is partly crying while Mr. Cook speaks to the two detectives. "Has Betty been having some kind of problems with anyone from the program?" Derek asks.

"No, she's kind to people around her," Mr. Cook says. "Why would anyone want to harm her?"

"Well, we are trying to figure that out," Elena says. "Did she have a boyfriend or anything?"

"No, she didn't have a boyfriend," Mrs. Cook answers. "She was always busy, studying and working with the program. She wants to become a historian."

"We'll need to see her room and some of her things like laptop or any kind of tablets," Derek says.

"Of course," Mr. Cook says, and he shows them to Betty's room.

They enter the bedroom and see that there are books all over the place. "Wow, and I thought my brother loved to read," Elena says, looking at all of the books.

Derek picks up a big book about Vikings, "I bet Gudmund would like to read this," he says, showing the book to Elena.

"I heard that his ancestors were Vikings," she says, looking at Betty's desk. She found the laptop and opens it up, and turns it on. "It seems I need a password. I'll have Maisie or Nozomi check this out. Do you see anything that might help us find out who might be the killer?"

"No, but I found a cell phone," Derek says, pulling a cell phone from behind a pillow on the bed. "I thought Chelsea got Betty's cell when they searched her dressing room."

"That might be a backup for something, but why would a high school senior need two cell phones?"

Derek turns on the cell phone and sees only two icons on the screen. "Weird, there are only two icons, the phone and messaging." He got down to the floor and looked under the bed. "I don't see anything else here, but I'll send this to the tech lab to have them check this out."

"I'll call Chelsea and have her send someone to search the whole room," Elena says as she dials Chelsea.

Down in the autopsy room, Butch just finishes going over Betty's body. Nozomi walks up to him, interested. "This girl is the same age as my niece and a couple years older than my youngest daughter."

Nozomi looks at Betty's face and sighs, "Poor girl. What is the cause of death?"

"I would have to say poison because I found some fluid with the same chemicals as the drugs we been searching for." Butch shows the chart on the monitor of the drugs in Betty. "It's the same ones that have killed many of our other victims," he says.

Nozomi looks at the monitor. "This drug is still new. How did she get this inside of her?"

"Well, her liver is healthy, so are her heart and lungs, so I say someone might have placed it in some drink she had."

Nozomi looks back at Butch. "I was just with Chelsea, and I saw the glass that was used in the dressing room. It had soda water in it. I found a bottle in the trash can."

Butch looks at the chart that he has, "Well, I found something that shouldn't be in here. Betty is part of the program that helps you raise money for college. In that program, you must be healthy and have no drug or alcohol. All members must take a test every week to see if they are still clean. If one drug or alcohol is found, you are expelled from the program. When my daughter Sasha entered at fourteen years old, my wife and I signed a waiver for that." He hands her the chart. "You see, I found some antidepressants. I don't see it on her medical record, but that's only part of it. And it's Melitracen, the same thing in other drugs we've been finding. This is the same MO we found in other victims."

"And she been taking it many times," Nozomi says, and Butch nods. "Ok, I'll run some checks on the Melitracen." Nozomi leaves, and Butch continues searching Betty's body.

Gudmund is in his office looking at the files on Adolf's computers. They include information on the teams in all of California. His phone rings, and he looks at the caller ID. It's his wife. "Hello, sweetie," he answers.

"Gudmund, when was the last time you visited Sigmund and Trine's grave?" she asks.

"About a year ago," he answers, "why?"

"Well, Astrid wants a photo of Sigmund and Trine's grave for her family history report, so I brought her and Ryan to visit the grave, and we can't find them."

Gudmund sits up in his chair, looking confused. "What do you mean you can't find them?"

"We are at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Long Beach and can't find them," she repeats.

Gudmund starts to think. "Ok, I'll come and meet you three there." He hangs up and looks at the computer. After looking at it for a bit, he turns it off and leaves the office.

Later, he arrives at the memorial park and sees his family walking up to him. Ryan runs up to his dad, and Gudmund picks him up. "Daddy, we can't find Uncle Sigmund's grave," he says.

Gudmund smiles, "It's ok. We'll figure it out," he says. Soon they walk up to where the grave should be and see an empty plot, "Ok? It should be here," he says.

"But what could have happened?" Aurora asks.

"Dad, why aren't Uncle Sigmund and Aunt Trine's graves here?" Astrid asks.

Gudmund starts to think of the mystery that involves his brother. "I think we'll need to speak to the one in charge of the memorial park. They might know what happened."

Later at the Thoresen house, Gudmund gets off of the phone. Aurora is with him in his office. "Any luck?" she asks.

"No…well kind of," he answers. "They said that about eight months ago, someone entered the office and asked to remove their grave. All of the information about it and the people that came were blocked from the record."

"Why is that? No one can do that unless all of the deceased's family members say get rid of it. We never allowed that to happen, and no one has asked us that."

"I know, and they say that plot is going to be used in a couple of days for a funeral. Someone else is being buried there," Gudmund says. "They also said it was empty anyway, which confuses me because we put a coffin in that ground."

"But if there were nothing in the grave, why wait this long to get rid of the headstone?"

"That would be the million-dollar question," Gudmund says. "I have to call Irene. And maybe call," Gudmund thinks of something, "Hakon."

Aurora asks, confused, "What does Hakon have to do with it?"

"He is part of Interpol, so maybe he might know or can find out for us. But before I ask him, I need to get a warrant to check that ground before bury someone in it. Can you get one from a judge for me?"

"Sure, but why dig into a ground when they say there wasn't anything there?"

"Because if someone dug up a coffin, maybe something was left behind or put into the ground. We just need to figure it out, and…"

"Gudmund, is there something you want to tell me about Sigmund and maybe about Trine as well?"

Gudmund looks at his wife, who has a worried look on her face. He walks around his desk and puts his hands on her shoulders. "You might want to sit down for what I am about to tell you." He sits her down on the couch and starts to tell her about the clues he's been getting.

"Why didn't you tell me this from the start?" She asks, looking a bit upset. "You should have told me as soon as you got the first clues."

"I know, and I wanted to tell you, but I was worried. I was worried that whoever is giving me the evidence that I need for Sigmund. Or if Klaus or Nevel figure out I might get close enough to arrest them, they might attack you and the kids. I can't stand to let that happen. I love you way too much to lose you and the kids. If anything were to happen to you three, I wouldn't be able to live with myself."

Aurora smiles and puts her hand on his cheek. "Look, you won't lose our kids or me. I promise I'll stay at your side, no matter what. The kids are strong and safe with us around and with their friends. If anything were to happen to me," she leans in toward Gudmund and looks him in the eyes. "I'll be at your side for all of eternity no matter what." She kisses him, and Gudmund kisses her back.

At the team base, Chelsea is talking to Ashton about what her team has gathered. "We found all of the same drugs formed together as one. We found some of them in the glass that Betty drank her soda water from. I found some evidence that would lead us to find more of these new, artificial drugs."

"Once we find more of them, we can try and figure out where they are coming from. Be sure to let me know if anyone finds more so we can try and figure out who is making them."

Maisie walks up to them. "I got something from the second cell phone," she says. "It made many calls to the same number and the same with texts. It seems like she had been using the second cell phone to buy some different types of drugs. Also, this cell phone found in her bedroom is the same model as the other victim's secondary cell."

"That means Betty got this cell and the mystery drug from the same person that gave them to the other victims," Ashton says and starts to think. "So far, we have five victims in two months. Maisie, check the other victim's secondary cell and see if you can find out what store they came from. Chelsea, I think we should look for something that isn't a type of drug. Maybe something that is used to make a drug. That way, we can try and figure out what made these." Both Maisie and Chelsea nod and go to work. Ashton's cell rings, and he looks at his cell. It's his wife. "Hey, Leona. How is the book coming along?" he greets his wife.

"It's going ok. I am calling because you got a package today, and it doesn't have a return address on it. What you want me to do with it?"

"Leave it. I'll come by and pick it up. I am heading out that way anyway. I am working on a case, so I'll stop at home for a bit." He hangs up after telling her he loves her.

Derek and Elena are at the venue where the fashion show is taking place. Derek is talking to Daniella about Betty, "Betty was supposed to be our final model to walk the runway. She's been working hard every day, and it was her last year," Daniella says.

"I know. Did she act differently today or lately?" Derek asks.

Daniella starts to think, "No, not out of the ordinary, but…" Daniella remembers something, "Betty did start to look different. Her skin looked shiny and much smoother than before. She looked like she was losing weight or something."

"When did you notice this change?"

"Two weeks ago. We both had a photoshoot at the time. I saw she looked different, and I didn't ask her; we don't speak to each other much. I am mostly a photo model while she is a runway model."

Derek nods. "I have seen your latest photo in your mom's office, very nice. Do you have a photo of her from before the photoshoot from two weeks ago?"

"No, sorry, but if you ask her parents, they could give you one. Or her older brother might."

Derek looks confused. "Older brother? We haven't heard anything about him."

"That might be because he and their parents had a huge falling out a few months ago. Betty kept in touch with him, but their parents wanted nothing to do with him."

"Do you know what his name is?"

"I believe it was Callum, but I don't know where you can find him."

Derek wrote down his name and looked back at Daniella. "Thanks. We'll go and talk to him. You are safe, and good luck with the show."

Daniella smiles. "I will, and you too."

Derek walks up to Elena. "I got Betty's brother's name; it's Callum. It seems that he and their parents had a major falling out. Let's find where he is and have a talk with him."

Elena's cell rang, and she answers it, "Blanchard." She listens for a minute. "Thanks, we'll go talk to him." She hangs up and turns to Derek, "That was Chelsea; she got a match on the fingerprints she found on the bottle of soda water. It came up as Callum Cook."

"Let's go bring him in for questioning then," Derek says, and the two walk to the car.

At the Long Beach Police Department, Derek and Elena interrogate Callum. "I didn't know that it killed her. When I left her, she was alive," Callum says, looking worried.

Derek slams his hand on the table, "Look, your fingerprints were on the bottle. She died from drinking that soda water you gave her. It had the same kind of drugs that have been killing people lately. Now tell us where they came from."

"I-I-I can't tell you," he says and sits back in his chair. "Look, I admit that I gave her the drug, but I didn't know it would kill her. I have been told it won't kill anyone at all. I only gave it to her once, to use it once in her life. I didn't know she would get addicted to it. I was told it wouldn't be addictive, and I even made sure it wouldn't kill her. She had that soda water bottle with her. I was with her in her dressing room, and I handed her that bottle before I left. She's my sister. I would never want to kill her."

Derek and Elena look at each other then back at Callum. "We have you at the scene of the murder, and you were handing her the drugged bottle," Elena says.

Someone knocks on the door, and they see Derek's younger brother. "I'll be right back," Derek says as he leaves the room. "Donald, what's up?"

"I see you have Callum Cook with you," Donald says.

"Yeah," Derek answers, looking confused, "How do you know him?"

Donald hands him a case file, "I am working on a case where the DNA matches his. It puts him at a crime scene that I am working on."

Derek looks over the file on Callum Cook. "Callum Cook, age 26, was arrested for drugs, dealing, and assault." He looks back at his younger brother. "So he was arrested many times, and you want him for an assault?"

"Yes, and the victim is in the hospital right now."

Derek looks back into the room and back to his younger brother. "Ok, once we are done with him, you may have him. Or, we can scare him a bit. We both can go in there. With three detectives in the room, he should crack." The two enter the room. Elena looks at them, and so does Callum. "Ok, Callum, I got some new information on you. This is Detective Donald Fischer, my younger brother who works in the Long Beach Police Department."

"Two brothers are police detectives?" Callum asks, looking at the two.

"And our older brother is a sergeant in Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department," Donald says and sets a file down on the table. "I am glad that my big brother got you here. I found some of your DNA at a crime scene," Donald places a photo of a victim that was beaten on the table. "The victim is James Howard, and witnesses saw you getting into a fight with him last night."

Derek and Elena look from the photo to Callum. "So you poisoned your sister after you did some beating, huh?" Derek says, and Callum looks from the photo to Derek.

"Look, I admit I beat up James, and I gave my sister a bottle of soda water, but I didn't poison my sister. I beat up James because he owes my boss money."

The three detectives look at each other and back to Callum. "So, you want to tell us about your boss," Elena says, and Callum looks at her.

Callum sighs, "I'll tell you what I know, but you must protect my parents and me. I know they hate me now, but I still love them, like how I still love my baby sister."

"We'll speak to the DA. Now tell us," Derek demands.

"There are different ranks in the ring for the drugs we've been giving out lately. I only know some of the underlings, like a couple upper ranks guys and me. I'll give you guys the names I have, but I want to make a deal first."

Derek sighs, "Elena, call to see if the DA can come." Elena leaves to make the call.

An hour later, Aurora arrives, enters the room, and sits at the table across from Callum, "I am Chief Deputy District Attorney Aurora Thoresen. I work as the Chief Deputy for the district attorney. Now I hear that you want to make a deal in exchange for names of those dealing with the drugs now known as Drug X. We'll work a deal for you if you tell us the names of those dealing these drugs."

"I'll write them down, but one of the deals I want is protection."

"You'll get protection," Aurora says.

"Not me. For my parents. I know they don't want anything to do with me. But this drug killed their only daughter, my baby sister. I want you to protect my parents. For me, I want the one that gave me that drug to give my sister."

"If you give us his name, we'll get him, and you will testify against him in court."

Callum sits back. "No, I want him dead, and I want to kill him."

"We can't allow you to do that; we'll need you to testify against the one that gave you the drug. If you disagree with us on that, we don't have a deal."

"Instead of his name, I'll take you to him. Let me go, and I'll find him for you."

Aurora hears a knock, and she looks and sees her husband. "I'll be right back." She walks out of the room and looks at Gudmund, Elena, Derek, and Donald. "He won't say his name and says he will only take us to him."

"Then we'll send him to meet his boss," Gudmund says, and everyone looks at him. "He knows who gave him that drug. I can see he loves her and will want to take the guy down. We'll place a tracer on him along with a recorder. We'll follow him and record his conversation with his boss." He turns to Elena, "Go and call Maisie, and tell her to get set up." He turns to Derek and Donald, "You two get some squads ready by having some of them work undercover as well."

"Is there anything you want me to do?" Aurora asks.

"Get a judge ready in case we need a warrant for something," he says, and Aurora nods.

"I'll call Judge Misaka and have him on standby for a warrant."

Derek, Donald, and Elena leave to go to do their tasks. Gudmund turns to his wife. "Sorry that we got interrupted," he says, and Aurora smiles.

"It's fine by me, sweetie. I don't care if my day off gets interrupted," she puts her arms around her husband's neck. "As long as I am at your side in a case, I love to be interrupted." Gudmund smiles and kisses her on the forehead.

An hour later, Callum walks up to a warehouse and goes inside. He looks around and sees many people making more of the mystery drugs. He sees his boss talking to one of the workers. Callum walks up to a man, and the man looks at him. "Callum, I thought you got arrested?"

"Well, I managed to walk. They got nothing on me," he says. "Aydan, can we go and talk?"

Aydan looks at him for a bit and smiles. "Sure, let's go chat." The two walk to a door and go inside the room. Aydan sits at his desk, and Callum sits at the chair in front of the desk. "What you want to talk about?"

"I found out that my sister Betty died this morning," he says.

"Oh, sorry to hear that," Aydan says. "Did you find out how she died?"

Callum locks eyes with Aydan, "From the drugs you had me give her."

Aydan sits back in his seat, "I figured as much. Many others have died trying out drugs. Once we try to improve it, it kills people. Once we learn how and why they died, we try to take care of it."

"How many?" he asks, and Aydan looks back at him. "How many people have died from taking these?"

Aydan takes a deep breath and lets it out. "Look, it doesn't matter how many people have died. There are billions of people in this world; in fact, we are testing some things on animals, too."

Outside in a van, Gudmund and the team listen in on the conversation. "That piece of shit, testing these things on animals," Nozomi says.

"Calm down, Nozomi. He'll get his day in court," Gudmund says. "Just keep recording everything that Callum and Aydan are saying. And what Callum sees as well." Nozomi nods and continues to watch the recording.

Callum stands up from his seat. "I want to know if Betty was a test for the new drug."

"She was, and I am sorry that she failed the test, but once we hack into her autopsy report, we'll learn what we need to fix and update it. Then, we'll have the best."

Callum looks straight into Ayden's eyes and starts to look serious. "Don't you feel bad about the people that have died trying these drugs?"

"Nope, because there are always going to be some sacrifices. Any sacrifice would be good for our business."

"Did you know that Betty would die?"

Aydan smiles, "Yes, I chose her to test the latest one. Because we higher up level in the drugs, to see what happens to her." he says, still smiling.

Callum growls, pulls out his gun and points it at Aydan. "I am going to kill you for murdering my sister, you sick son of a bitch."

"He pulled a gun. Did you know he had a gun?" Nozomi asks shockingly.

"We checked him. He must have grabbed it when we weren't looking," Gudmund says and grabs the radio. "Everyone goes in now. I repeat, go in now." He gets off of the radio and rushes out.

All of the officers rush into the building and start to capture some of the criminals. A couple of people start to shoot back, and the officers shoot as well. Gudmund, Ashton, Derek, and Donald rush to the office where Callum is with Aydan. They burst into the room, guns ready.

"Callum put the gun down," orders Donald.

"No. He killed my sister; he knew she was going to die, so I am going to kill him for what he did to my sister."

"Callum put the gun down, and let us all walk out of this together. Aydan will get his days in court with you testifying against him. He'll be sure to be put away for a long time," Gudmund says.

Callum looks at Gudmund for a moment and looks back to Aydan. "No. He will beat the system; he always does. I know his moves, and I know how he manages to get away from the law."

"But with you are testifying against him, and you are helping us, we'll make sure he is put away for good," Ashton says.

Callum looks right into Ayden's eyes and starts to pull the trigger to kill the man that killed his sister. "No, I am going to kill him now." He fires the gun and drops it. The bullet went right through Ayden's head, killing him. Donald and Derek rush to Callum and put his hands behind his back. Gudmund and Ashton rush to Ayden's side and see that he is indeed dead.

"Book him, Derek," Gudmund says as he looks up to Derek.

Derek nods, and he and his brother take Callum away. Ashton looks at the computer and sees a lot of information on it, "I am going to have Nozomi take a look at this. Maybe it'll tell us a list of people dealing with these drugs."

"Once she checks it out, have it sent to Maisie, and the two can work on it. I need everyone that was working in here to be questioned and checked out." Ashton nods and calls Nozomi on his radio.

Later at the team base, they look at all of the information on the monitor. "They even put up a list of those that died," Maisie says.

"Run that list with all unsolved cases and to the missing person list as well," Gudmund says. "Ashton, Derek, Elena, call LBPD, LAPD, and the LASD. I'll call the FBI Director and the California pINPOINt Director to let them know. Soon, we'll be able to be rid of this for good in our state. Maisie, Nozomi, I want you both to keep working on gathering everything we'll need to make a case. Make sure we'll be able to get rid of these drugs." Everyone goes to do their job.

The next day at the fashion show, Chelsea's thirteen-year-old son Rio is standing on the catwalk. "Ok, that was some clothing we saw, but soon we'll be bringing out the last models. First, I want to add that this show was to raise money, but we decided to dedicate the show to Betty Cook this morning. She was one of our best models and was, as of last week, given a full scholarship to Harvard."

Backstage, Daniella is a bit stressed, and her cousin, Sasha, walks up to her. "Are you ok?" Sasha asks, and Daniella looks at her.

"Just a bit nervous. I've never walked on these before. I mostly do photoshoots. I'm not a walking model," she answers.

"Don't worry. I am going out there with you to be at your side. I got your back," she says, and Daniella smiles.

"Thank you for being here with me today, Sasha," she says, and they face the stage.

"And now let's hear it for the last two models. One of them is my big sister Daniella Torres, and the other is my cousin, Sasha Harris," Rio announces the last two models. Daniella and Sasha walk out onto the stage as people cheer for them.

At Sigmund's cabin, someone is in the house. The person picks up an old photo of three kids, two boys, and one girl. The person sets it down, goes to a bookcase, and slides it to the side. Behind it is a door, and he opens it up. It's a stair that leads down, and the person descends. He gets to the bottom of the stairs and turns on his flashlight. He starts to look around the basement. He walks up to a laptop and turns it on. The laptop turns on, and it starts to show different files. He put a flash drive into the USB port and starts to download the information. His cell phone beeps, and he pulls it out and looks at the screen, showing a text message. Soon, the computer finishes downloading, and the person takes out the flash drive. He leaves the basement and goes back up the stairs. He closes the door and puts the bookcase back. He walks to the front door and sees a headlight coming up the road. He looks out the window and sees four people climbing out of a car.

The four walk up to the house and get ready to go inside. The man walks into the kitchen as the four people enter the house. He pulls out his cell phone and starts to call someone. Someone on the other line answers, "Hei det meg, jeg trenger en plukke opp, finnes det fire folk her. Jeg skal lede femten miles nordøst. Det blir en åpen arena for dere å plukke meg opp i."

He hangs up, and just as he gets ready to leave through the back, he bumps into a chair, and it falls to the floor. The four men hear the sound and check it out. They see the man, and the man starts to run. The four men start to shoot, and so does the man. The man manages to shoot one of the men in the head, killing him. Then, one of the men manages to shoot the man in the right leg. The man rushes out of the kitchen by jumping through the window and starts to run. He pulls out a flare gun and loads it up. First, he shoots at one of the trees to start a fire. Then, he shoots one at the three men chasing after him. It hits one of them, causing him to drop to the ground on fire. The man then shoots the last one into the air.

Soon, the man manages to get to the open field and sees his helicopter drop a ladder rope. The man grabs on, and it starts to bring him into the copter, leaving the last two men behind. He looks at them as he gets into the copter and sits down. One of the people in the copter starts to look over his leg. One of them speaks in Norwegian to him, and the man nods. His cell rings again, and he answers.

Back with the two men, one of them answers his cell phone. "Nevel, we ran into trouble. Someone was at Sigmund's house, and he managed to kill two of our guys. What should we do?"

"Return and don't let anyone find you. Also, get the bodies of the two that died. I'll deal with the mess that was made," Nevel answers on the other line. He hangs up and looks out his window. Nevel growls, "I'll get that information on Sigmund and all of those in pINPOINt and Interpol."
