James, Robyn

General Ironwood is a man of conviction, a hard will and a iron mind, unfortunately, he knew just how bad is such a combination.

And with his semblance into mix it created very dangerous situations, as any idea he could get he would pursue with hundred percent.

Unfortunately for him, such an idea doesn't need to be a good one, and he knew it, he was very aware of his shortcomings.

It was just too hard not to act on his instincts that are fueled by his semblance, such as the matter of Aegis Schnee.

For James knew that the moment he thought about the boy as an enemy of kingdom his semblance took hold of him and he acted on

the idea that Schnee is an enemy, which made their relationship that was bad even worse.

James now knew that Aegis was a necessary evil, he saw his work, and no matter how dangerous the boy and his ideas are for Atlas.

For James saw how Atlas changed, firstly it started with just small things like orphanages and institutions for the homeless.

For such a slow start it snowballed into calamity, as James Ironwood could see who had the loyalty of masses.

It didn't help that in all of council just two others could see the incoming change, and James always thought that Atlas is a giant who supported the weight of Remnant.

But the bigger the giant is the harder he falls...

It started the deaths of Atlas loyalists, nothing more than accidents, but when someone looked closer, these accidents stop look like ones.

And then it hit James.

The change has come, and not from outside but from inside.

But the more Ironwoods semblance wanted him to act, to fight the Aegis and his family, the more he would remember the previous state of Atlas and Mantle.

From the bleak image of corruption that was masked under the pretense of the most advanced kingdom with the pristine mechanical army.

James remembered the streets that were clean on the outside, but when someone looked on the sides he could see orphans and poor ones lifelessly walk as to not gain the attention of the wealthy ones who would gladly make fun or example of them.

Now? Now James saw true paradise, yes it was not perfect but James Ironwood isn't ashamed to say that the change Schnee made is a big one and for the better of Atlas nonetheless.

Where he and the council failed, a boy and his company succeed.

And that made James bitterly chuckle.

That was the same reason his hand wavered as he thought about retaliating against Schnee for his actions.

After all, what created Atlas?

Money? Technology? CounciL? No...

No...

The people made Atlas, and the people were on the side of Schnee.

And James promised to himself when he took reins of leadership that he would always protect his people...

That was the same reason he didn't contact Ozpin, no matter what the ancient wizard would say, this was Atlas's problem, and thus would be dealt be Atlas...

Such a dilemma hunted the general and headmaster of Atlas academy.

On one side was his oath to Council of Atlas, on the other his oath to his people who are faring better under Schnee's rule...

"What to do, what to do..."

James said as his finger drummed on his desk with his fingers...

"There is just one way..."

James sighed to himself...

He would fulfill his oath to Atlas, but at the same time he would make sure that the conflict doesn't threaten or endanger the citizens of Atlas.

"So must be done."

James said as he moved with newfound resolve.

"Angelo, call for meeting..."

James said as he made his way through his office.

He would either win, or lose, but he would make sure there wouldn't stay any disagreements after the fight no matter which side won, and for that he would call every loyal Atlas personnel he has.

"Better under fall under another human than Grimm."

James said to himself as his semblance kicked in and his new target was made.

James Ironwood would fulfill his duty, one way or another...

"Long Live Atlas, no matter in whose hands it falls into."

--------------

Robyn Hill smiled to herself as she saw another pair of parent and child run from her office.

Truly, if someone said to her that in two years the Mantle becomes a paradise she would chuckle and then tell them she admired their dream.

In truth she was the same, she always dreamed about changing Mantle, but she was a realist too, how could she not with her semblance that made it hard for her to even have friends.

"Strange right?"

Robyn looked at the one who asked her and saw her teammate, a petite Fiona Thyme, a sheep faunus with short white hair and olive green eyes and one of her best friends Robyn could ever ask for.

"It never ends amaze me."

Robyn said with a chuckle, she fought for change, she bled, shed tears and was humiliated for so many times just for a chance to change the Mantle for the better, her team who was always with her too gave up on their dreams of pursuing their carries and rather joined her in her pursuit of bettering Mantle.

"To think this would be made by a brat."

Said another member Happy Huntresses, Joanna Greenleaf big woman with beige colored eyes and short cut dark green hair, she was one to voice her disbelief the most at the current trend of Schnees being NICE.

"He isn't a brat, if you don't remember, he is our boss too."

Said last member, May Marigold, slightly tomboy woman petite form and blue hair with amber eyes, she was the one who took the Schnee change both hardest and easiest at the same time.

May who was raised as a boy even if she was a girl because her parents raised her as a scion of the Marigold family, unfortunately, or rather fortunately for May she was no longer a member of that family and thus distanced herself from that life of higher society that always made her feel disgusted.

"Ara, is there something you should tell as May? With the way you defend him I almost think you have a crush on him."

Robyn said with a slightly teasing smile as May blushed and shook her head in denial.

"NO! N-no such thing, I don't have a crush!!"

May said and others just chuckled at her as Fiona pointed at Robyn who just raised her eyebrow at May.

"That's not fair!"

May said in embarrassment as she realized her denial fall to deaf ears as even without Robyns semblance it was clear she had a little crush on the patriarch of the Schnee family.

"Don't worry, next time we meet I will ask him if he has a place in his harem for you May."

Robyn teased and May just spluttered, Robyn was glad that May started show her more womanly side after being raised a boy, and in truth, she too enjoyed her conversations with Aegis.

Thanks to her semblance it was hard to have a proper conversation when you know someone lied to you no matter how good was their lie.

But with Aegis? With Aegis Robyn found out that he never managed to activate her semblance, as every time they speak, Aegis speaks in riddles and half-truths or withholding truth completely.

Thus making Robyn enjoy her conversation where she never knows what truth is and what is not...

Still, to think May has a crush on Aegis...

Robyn knew that her new boss had a harem that was already built from his family members, in the truth she didn't care, Aegis and his family helped Mantle and its residents, thus making Robyn indebt to them, and in truth, she truly didn't care about that, she was always of the mind that as long as you are happy it's alright...

"Come girls, we still have a lot of work as Mantle secretaries."

Robyn said with a happy tone as in Mantle they had the highest power, just below Aegis, who pushed managing the city into their hands.
