She was an otherworldly beauty. With long, flowing taffy-pink hair swaying in the wind, adorned with a black veiled tiara, soul-stealing magenta eyes, soft, yet sharp face, and a body many women would envy, she was someone that couldn't possibly exist in this world. Her outfit -a long, tattered black cloak with spikes, a tight-fitting one-piece black dress, with an opening on her right thigh that showed off her thigh-high stocking, and a cut-off mesh sleeve on her right-, and her scythe didn't help her case of being a normal mortal!

Shizuka, Rika, and Yuki were entranced by the person who suddenly appeared out of nowhere! With 5 heads flying, and five headless bodies falling, the pink-haired woman swung her scythe once again, decapitating the rest of the zombies before they could even turn around.

"Wow..." Yuki absent-mindedly muttered as she watched the woman flawlessly take care of the zombies that would have surely been a trouble to deal with.

"What the..." Rika, who was sure that you wouldn't be able to hold a scythe, or any other kind of metal that big and long, and swing it so easily, couldn't believe someone like this person in front of her could possibly be real!

However, while the two were shell-shocked upon seeing the woman, and what she had done, Shizuka was a different matter entirely. Not only was she surprised to the core, but she was nearly crying.

Shizuka was sure, she was sure that this was Derierei. The reason why she was able to protect her friends, the reason why she was stronger, better than her past self, her benefactor, and also the reason why she has her friends with her now.

"Wat'cha standing around for? Get in the car bitches!" Her voice was smoky, but her way of speaking was rather severe and intense! And it was enough to get them out of their stupor!

"You wanna get mauled by the Zs?" The woman, then, seemed to have strapped the scythe behind her back while she kicked away a severed head away as she began walking towards them.

"Ha? Whu? Huh?" Rika, having a bit of a hard time understanding what was happening, wasn't able to properly answer the woman as she passed by and climbing up the armored vehicle.

"Come on ladies. Chop-chop. The Zs aren't gonna wait for us." Hitting the MTVR with her palm, the woman glared at the three stunned individuals with both annoyance and amusement.

And, finally, after staring deep into the woman's eyes, Shizuka nodded and looked at her friends.

"Rika-chan, Yuki-chan, let's get going." Shizuka, even with her regular sing-song voice, left nothing up for discussion.

Rika and Yuki, though they were entranced by the pink-haired woman's beauty, she was a stranger, someone they didn't know, and she was able to easily slay zombies with a single swing of a definitely heavy scythe. But, as aggressive as she was with the way she spoke, the woman didn't seem to want to hurt them, so they just followed Shizuka.

This world had become apocalyptic, and with that, laws would disappear, and people will change. In a world like this, humans can be scarier than the monsters they see now.

[[Derierei's POV]]

s the wind brushes pass my hair, I was watching the zombies that were unluckily in the way of the car. Laying prone on the top of the MTVR, I giggled a bit at the memory of Yuki and Rika gaping at me like a pair of fishies! It was honestly cute, but I blushed a bit because embarrassment quickly took over me. Since Shizuka had been nearing level 3, I was planning on how I'd make my entrance!

I thought about the many ways I could have introduced myself, from just dropping by the house, to being a hostage! But when the opportunity showed itself, I stupidly took it and just winged it! And it. Was. Embarrassing! I tried too hard to look and sound cool! I mean, looking cool was already in the bag, but I just didn't know what to say and the words just came out of my mouth!

"So~ embarrassing~~!" I muttered as I rolled myself to lay on my back, getting too close to the edge of the roof. But I didn't worry about that, 'cause my instincts would kick in and wouldn't let me fall. And even if I did fall, I wouldn't get injured whatsoever! I just didn't want to fall to something so stupid.

But, other than that, I was glad that Shizuka was able to stay super focused! If it were the Shizuka 2 weeks ago, she would surely be a bit distracted even in a life-and-death situation! But now, she could be so fearsome!

"What will you do now, Shizu?" I asked to no one in particular, excited to see what Shizuka and her group has in store. Mellione had been rather giddy with the development too, so I hope Shizuka and the rest would remain to be entertaining.

When Shizuka and the group neared Rika's house, Saya, who was currently acting as their lookout, was very shocked to see a pink-haired cosplayer on top of the armored vehicle through the scope of the sniper rifle! Saya deliberated on what to do, because this situation was just weird.

'Who is she? Why is she on top of the truck and not inside? Maybe Shizu-chan saved other people and they're too full? Why does she have a scythe too!? And it kinda looks real!' These thoughts ran around Saya's mind as the truck quickly came close to the front gate of Rika's house. But, putting her questions at the back of her head for now, Saya went down to inform the rest of Shizuka's arrival.

And, as for the people inside the truck, they were currently having a serious talk about the woman on top of the truck. Yuki and Rika expressed their worries, while Shizuka kept on defending the pink-haired woman. Of course, the pair had initially thought that she was doing that because that was how Shizuka was, but Shizuka kept raising some good points about this "unknown" woman.

Then, soon enough, they made it in front of the house and they got out. And, seeing that they all got out, Derierei jumped off the roof and went with what she had decided to do earlier. To fake it 'til you make it.

"Nice place you get here." Was the first thing Derierei said while leaning against the truck and crossing her arms underneath her bust.

"Thanks... I guess." The purple-haired woman wasn't sure how she'd interact with their savior, since she was too...different. And not even Shizuka different, but different-different. Different as in, out of this world different. And with her current get-up and weapon, Rika was starting to believe that this woman was a Grimm Reaper wannabe.

"Why don't we go inside first. We'll be safer to speak there." Shizuka, unfazed by what was happening, stated as she already led Yuki inside the house by hand. Said young girl was blushing profusely.

Rika, still apprehensive about the new addition to the group, forgetting that she too was technically a new addition too, gave the pink-haired scythe-wielder a glance, before carefully pacing at least 5 steps in front of her.

Derierei, on the other hand, was making sure her background was fool-proof.

The atmosphere was a bit tense inside Rika's house. The all-female group was a bit wary of the pink-haired woman. Initially, they were stunned by her beauty, but since she was a stranger, no connection to any of them at all -one that they know of-, they had to keep a distance away from her.

But Shizuka was different. She was sure in her heart that this woman was Derierei, and though she barely ever heard her voice, she was familiar with her System Guide's smoky voice. So, she, the acting leader, interrogated the pinkette.

"What's your name?" The nurse asked, trying to hide her amusement lf this situation.

Derierei, for her part, played the lazy card and was relaxing in her chair while answering with, "R-66669. But you can call me Derierei."

The pinkette eyed Shizuka as she gave her answer, her eyes shining just like the nurse's in amusement. And, though Shizuka was trying to hide her giggle, someone from the group, Yuki, asked in mild irritation and confusion.

"R-666-what? The hell kinda name iz'at?" True. The name Derierei gave at first wasn't conventional, and it both weirded them out and piqued their curiosity.

"R-66669. It isn't really my name, per se. It's actually my designation number. Reaper number 66669." The answer, in all honesty, confused all but Shizuka. The blonde was sure that Derierei was just playing with them, but she hoped that Derierei would answer truthfully in private.

"Huh? Designation number? Reaper number 66669? The hell is this?! You're not making sense!" One of the other pinkette in the group, Saya, exclaimed. She was couldn't understand this Derierei person, and she didn't like not understanding things.

"Well darling~. To make it easier for you, I'll just have to explain everything. I am Reaper number 66669, a product of various experimentation and government corruption, and also the only one alive because the rest before me were defective, dead, or uncontrollable. Born a normal girl, turned into a living, breathing killing machine. Turned to follow the orders of greedy, money-loving pigs. Them turned to be their bodyguard after they made a mistake in one of the experiments the government had issued, causing this zombie apocalypse." To everyone but Shizuka, what Derierei had just said was a bomb they didn't expect to go off! What they just heard was something so unbelievable!

This woman, was actually the product of an experiment! Not only that, but it was from the actions of the government! And more than just that, it seemed that this zombie apocalypse was the work of the government!

And while everyone was slowly breaking down the information, Derierei was nodding sagely to herself while thinking, 'Yes. Blame the government for everything.'

"H-huh? Th-this is... Thi-thi-this is ju-just..." Yuriko was having a really hard time understanding this, but she then had a memory flash in her mind. Her husband was the Don of a right-wing political association of Tokonosu, and he definitely had connections with the government. Also, she had, at some point heard whispers from him that something big was going to happen, and the government was absolutely going to have a hand in it. And, through this, she had a misunderstanding that would definitely change the thoughts of the women here about the government.

Telling her friends what she had just realized, the misunderstanding got worse. Which made Derierei nearly guffaw!

"So...all of this happened...because of an experiment made by the government?" Rei, who looked really angry, asked with a frustrated voice. She really didn't like that all of this was caused by the government, who were supposed to be keeping order and not making chaos!

"Pretty much. I heard that the zombie infection was supposed to be in an controlled area in America, but somehow, someone broke the health protocol and infected someone out of the testing facility." Derierei "helpfully" informed the group. Really, all what Derierei was bullshit that was putting the government in a bad light! In truth, the cause of the zombie apocalypse was the world prematurely evolving to accommodate human innovation!

"But...why..." Lillian asked in a confused tone, truly not understanding the intentions behind creating the zombies.

"Greed. Power. Insecurity. Corruption. You name it. Everyone here's guess is as good as mine." The scythe-wielder was starting to run out of things to say. If they were to ask more, Derierei would be sure that she'd trip over her own words.

Silence had fallen around the group, and Derierei was a little glad no one else seemed to want to ask any questions. But, she didn't like how silent the place was.

"Why don't we stop talking about °how° this happened, and talk about °what° we'll do tomorrow." Shizuka, thank her kind heart, managed to take everyone's attention and change the subject. Yes, Derierei chose a good host in this one.

"Y-yeah..." Yuriko weakly agreed, wishing that she hadn't heard what she just did. It was true, as they say, "Ignorance is bliss". But it was netter to know this than to be left in the dark.

"Good. Rei-chan, Yuriko-chan, can you please get us some juice and snacks? I think we'll need it for what we're about to do." Shizuka, the clumsy nurse, had become Shizuka, the responsible leader of an all-female as of now.

The two mentioned girls nodded quietly, and soon had hurriedly went to the kitchen so that they could quickly listen in on the plans to be made.

"I'm assuming you'll be joining us?" The nurse/leader asked Derierei with a thinly veiled twinkle in her eyes, following along her System Guide's act.

"I'm def joining your group. Less drama, more (s)kinship. And, as a living weapon, I can easily fight against Zs, need less food, sleep, and any other basic human needs, have increased strength, and am knowledgeable in multiple kinds of weapons." Derierei was quick to show her worth to the group, wanting them to quickly accept her as a sister. If any of them were to either become her lover, friend, or be her sister-wives, she didn't care as long she gets to be a part of this group. In reality, forming a normal, working relationship with a mortal is a dream of many Higher Beings, as they are basically touch-starved kids with how everyone else was acting to each other.

"That's good. We'll need someone that could teach us to use our weapons properly. Do any of you have any objection in Derierei-ch-...-san joining our group?" The nurse asked her friends, and none spoke up to disagree. They were all smart women. Though there was one more mouth to feed, there was a safety in numbers, and not only that, but Derierei was clearly a superhuman °and° can teach them on how to properly handle a weapon.

And, seeing as no one was objecting Shizuka positively beamed! "Welcome to the group, Derierei-san." The blonde greeted with a wide smile, happy that her secret friend was going to be able to join their adventure.

"Thanks for having me." The pinkette smiled an infectious smile, causing even the most serious of the group, Saeko, Yuriko, and Rika, to smile along with her. They didn't know it now, but their life just got better, better than it was in their life of mediocrity.

By 4:21 in the afternoon, the group finally had fleshed out the details of their plan. There were a lot of back and forths, semi-heated arguments, and some shouting, but they soon eventually agreed on leaving the city and creating their own home close to a town in the countryside, while also not being too far away from the city itself. The RV, MTVR, and HUMVEE were adequate enough to be their temporary houses for the weeks to come. And, while their vehicles would be their temporary housing, the group would make a very wide log cabin! How they came to that decision, nobody knew. But Derierei did give in full confidence that they will be able to make one with her with them. Then, in between the making of their home, they would make a farm for the future! And not only that, Derierei had said that if anyone wanted to have children, she had a way. An awkward silence befall the group, but Derierei just kept a straight face while repeating her words.

Then, after that embarrassing moment, they moved on. Since they had a clear sight of what they'd do in the future, Shizuka had said that before doing all this, they had to get more resources and look for Rei's parents, which got the girl crying because she had been trying to ignore the existence of her parents until now to hopefully not have to face heartbreak.

Soon after reassuring the spear-user, Derierei -after using her restricted powers, made up some bullshit and- informed them that she had seen someone who resembled Rei a lot in the Taiei Shopping City/Mall, which has definitely raised the group's appreciation of her. So, with that piece given, it was finally planned that tomorrow, they will raid Taiei Shopping City/Mall to get supplies and all that jazz, while looking for Rei's mother. Then, after that, they will go to a nearby police station to get whatever they can, and finally leave the Zombie-ridden city!

And, for the remaining time of the day, Derierei suggested that they take stock of their current weapons, which everyone agreed with. Alice was there too by the way, adorably nibbling on some cookies.

They had one scythe(Derierei's), 23 combat knives(Karambit, Butterfly, Hunting), 17 kitchen knives, 3 pistols, 1 sniper rifle, 1 wooden sword, 1 ice pick, 3 more pistols from Rika's safe, 3 hatchets,15 hand grenades, 2 smoke grenades, a whole lot of different kinds of bullets, 1 assault rifle, 2 crossbows plus a lot of crossbow bolts -Shizuka said that it was on sale, and that's that-, 1 wooden spear -there were 2 mops in the house that they could turn into spears-, 2 hammers, 2 scissors, 9 pens, 1 shear, 11 pots and pans, and 1 rake.

Looking at all these, the group was very surprised at how much they had. And they were more surprised that most of it came from Shizuka, which she just answered with, "But they were on sale. And they looked really cool, too.", which the group hesitantly agreed to believe as they could imagine Shizuka just doing it.

"I could teach you how to use the compound bows, the guns and explosives with Rika-san and Yuri-san, thank you for informing me about your skills by the way, and how to properly use a combat knife with Shizuka. If we ever find any swords, Saeko-san and I can help you with it. And a spear could be easily made, and Rei-san and I can help you with them." Derierei stated as she looked over the various weapons organized in front of them. Everything they thought that they could use as a weapon, they took it and in the living room.

Yes, they could see it now, their chance of survival. Shizuka, Lillian, Yuriko, Yuki, Saya, Rei, Saeko, and Rika were sure that they would be able to survive. Alice was just munching on cookies, while Derierei was hiding her smirk.

[A/N: Wooh! 10 chapters and not even a week has passed! Never really had that achievement. Anyways I hope you liked this chapter.

Next chap we'll have some shopping mall raid, killing some guys, saving Rei's mother, raiding a police station, and a road trip! I hope you're all fine with my plan of them making their own base in the forest close to the countryside. I don't know why, but I just wanted them to live in a forest.
