Chapter 2: A perfect day - Finn

NOTES: The story was written for the contest "THE 5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT YOU",

announced by Down Hanna's Ally and The Writers' Game

They had been two hectic days: between the preparation and then the victory at the Regionals, Finn was throbbing with the desire to hug her and cuddle her in his arms once again, as he used to do every day.

His world was changing but, despite his fear of him, he was willing to face it if it meant sharing it with Rachel.

For about three years now, with ups and downs, he had him by her side: there had never been a day that he hadn't thanked God for letting him meet her. Finn liked to spend whole afternoons watching her sing at home when she was practicing: at that moment she gave off such an energy that he couldn't help but love her more. Rachel completed it as if it were the perfect half of a puzzle, of an apple; she was the air he breathed, his only reason for living.

"Mum! Please stop crying, "Finn exclaimed a little irritably but affectionately, who, with a great stride, reached her and hugged her, frightened of the big step he was about to take.

Finn's face was crossed by many emotions, but one prevailed over the others: impatience, the same one that pervaded him in thinking of his Rachel at the altar to finally make her become her wife, for life.

"Finn! "Kurt said emphatically, afraid that that hug could crease his brother's tuxedo that he had specially sent from New York.

The first time he saw himself in the mirror wearing the suit, he made a funny face that didn't go unnoticed by Kurt.

"But I look like a penguin! He complained capriciously.

"No it is not true. But anyway, you're at least a classy penguin, "Kurt said jokingly, teasing him.

The look they launched at that moment, a few steps away from becoming him, a married man, was full of affection and complicity, characteristics that could only exist between brothers.

That exchange brought to Finn's mind his search for the witness, even if he could not define himself as such as he already knew who he wanted by his side. Kurt and Blaine were obviously first on the list and they certainly couldn't miss Sam, Artie and Mike; however, another person, not entirely unexpected, had also been marked.

"I don't go around it, also because I'm not very good with words. Do you want to be my best man? Finn asked Puck quickly, surprising him.

"You are my best friend, you have been by my side in many moments and although we have had a stormy past, I want you by my side on the best day of my life".

Puck was still speechless and you could see it from his stupid expression that lasted for a few minutes, making Finn impatient and making him smile at that face he would never wipe from his mind.

"Yes, you can bet on it, brother," said Puck, recovering from astonishment, immediately patting his friend on the shoulder.

It's A perfect day: yes, that was it.

It was the day their life together began.

Hello everybody *_*

The story as I said before takes place during 3x14: we know that after winning the Regionals Finn and Rachel get married, or at least they should, but then Quinn has an accident, but not in my story.

This is where Finn prepares to go to the altar, a moment that wasn't on the show but that I wish I could have seen.

For this story there are so many people to thank: I want and I have to thank first of all my cousin Vivana for being the first to read it and give me the advice the story needed, then I thank my sister for giving me so many ideas, without she the story would not have been born because ... well, just talking about something else gives me crazy ideas that I then can not help but put on paper. Finally, my thanks will go to you who I hope you will take some time to read it and if times let me know what you think. Finchel are my favorite couple followed by Klaine and Quick and therefore I would like to know what you think, moreover as I told you it was not easy to write it because Cory, Lea and Monchele were and are my point of reference, the my anchor.
