Chapter 37

After Greg woke up, Aleanna had explained what happened to him as he played with the baby dragons. The baby dragons had immediately knew that Greg was their father, or something of the sort.

The connection between Greg and the dragons were strong and even though they were just born they still had intelligence and while not on human levels it was good enough for them to know who their father is.

Why do the dragons see him as a father, well when a creature first hatches its first instinct is to look for the mother or father who usually is right there with them. The baby dragons once they were born, a connection was already established between them.

After explaining to Greg what happened, Aleanna tried to touch the baby dragons as well, but they started acting defensive towards her, so she pulled her hand back, but Greg grabbed her hand and placed it on the dragon's head.

The Dragon didn't do anything since Greg was the one to put her hand on its head, and he sensed no threat. Yes, this dragon is a he and the other is also a male.

After playing with the baby dragons for a little, Greg had continued doing what he was doing before, which was grabbing his sword and armor from his room.

After putting on his armor and grabbing his sword, the baby dragons had climbed onto his shoulders as he walked out the door. The Guards who before had seen the dragons and still couldn't believe what happened had followed behind Greg after he left his room.

These were his personal guards. As he walks through the building, more guards will join them, and before they leave, Greg would have 12 soldiers along with him.

After exiting the building, they had all got on their horses, while the two baby dragons remained on Greg's shoulders as he rode throughout the city.

As he rode throughout the city, many people had noticed what was on Greg's shoulder and many had started bowing because the dragons were thought to be long gone from this world as the last one died hundreds of years ago, but now this was not the case.

Many nicknames were already being thought of by the crowd as Greg rode to the city gate. All of them were positive of course and some were even saying that Greg was a living deity, though that was false those people that said that must be religious.

After exiting the city Gate, Greg had gone to the front of the army since the soldiers were already lined up. When Greg walked past all the soldiers, they had all noticed the two baby dragons on his shoulders.

At first the soldiers thought that they were dreaming, so some of them wiped their eyes and looked again, but it was the same result.

While Greg's soldiers were surprised to see baby dragons, they were disciplined and didn't make any noise or comments on the matter. But the mercenaries were all talking amongst themselves, since dragons haven't been seen in hundreds of years.

Once at the front of the army, Greg had motioned for everybody to start walking. One after another, groups of soldiers all lined up in a formation walked in a single line.

60k soldiers were on the march from Qohor to take the other three free cities on this side.

In Myr a meeting between the Magisters from Lys, and Tyrosh was occurring.

"We should stop the expansion of this King before he grows too powerful" Said a Magister

"He already has about 50k soldiers and I heard that he hired the Golden Company along with other mercenaries so that number might be wrong" Said Another Magister

They went back on forth with each other trying to determine what to do since the situation was similar to that of when they allied together to attack Volantis after the doom of Valyria.

Some were split between attacking Greg to stop him from expanding, while others didn't want Greg to turn their attention towards the other free cities.

The situation with Greg was different from Volantis since while Greg had a medium-sized army most of his soldiers were very powerful and with the addition of the very famous Golden Company his strength increased a lot.

Still, there were many that thought that he could be defeated, and he would not win against the allied army of Lys, Myr and Tyrosh. And another thing was that Volantis was building an army after the tigers had taken control of the city.

Now they build up an army using the money from the now either dead or deceased merchants. At the end of the meeting the Magister were still split, and a decision was not met.

In Volantis the situation of the city was poor since there were a lot of people that ended up dead on the streets from the various fights that happened between the tigers and elephants.

And now with the tigers in control, the people were even poorer since a war tax was set up by the tigers to fund the army that they were going to build.

Remnants of the elephant political party either fled the city or they have gone into hiding amongst the people plotting to overthrow the tigers.

Unlike Westeros, which is not war torn as of now, Essos was a battlefield and many people had already started choosing sides.
