The Cards Part 1

As all seven girls woke up, they each got ready in their normal clothing. Gianna in her green jeans and white T-shirt, Yvette in her cheerleading uniform, her blonde hair in a very long high curled ponytail, yellow sneakers painted with green leaves on them, October wearing baggy neon pants and her orange Halloween shirt, Rebecca wearing her cheerleading uniform, her beautiful long red hair down, Phoebe in her red hoodie and black jeans, her hair up in a messy bun, Priscilla in her cheerleading uniform, with yellow shoes painted with green stars on them, and Bethany in a blue T-shirt, blue jeans, and blue sneakers painted with a light blue heart on them, to resemble the color that she was chosen at her games.

I walked out at 6:30 AM, looking at the letter knowing this could be my last day of life. I held the letter with me as I started to head out of the door. I see my cousin looking down at me as she knows this could possibly be the last time she ever sees me. She gave me the biggest hug and reassured her, promised her that I would come back.

"Why are you hugging me?" I asked her and she looked up at me.

"This could be the last chance I get to ever hug you." She said and I sighed as I gave her a hug back.

I walked to the car, opening the drivers seat and getting in. I sat down, closed the door, and put my golden key into the car. It's not actually made of golden, but it's close enough for a key. The car is driving at 40 miles per hour, under the speed limit. I am fine. I arrived at the arena, sighing in stress as I knocked on the big fancy silver doors at the front. They opened wide, letting me into a room with seven doors, seven different colors. one of them was in pink, the other one was in blue, red, purple, green, and so on.

It was super fancy too. Each door has a label on it and a letter. Apparently the pink letter hasn't been sent out. Neither has all the other letters. I wonder who got the card. I don't know who is going to get the other letters, but I hope they aren't super super fierce competitors. I already know that I won't make it out alive probably either way honestly.

"Hello, first contestant. You have arrived to the arena. You will place your bags outside and we will hand you item one by one as each day goes by." The hunter said and I nodded, as I left my bags where I put them.

The blue door opened without hesitation and I walked in, holding nothing. There were blue marks in the room and I grabbed some water and ran it over slightly on my finger. I put my pointer finger in the blue eyeshadow as I put one line on my left cheek, examining the mirror as I made sure that the makeup is fully put on, so that I don't look like a dork once I enter the actual arena.

"Bethany Beelard, submitted into the games." The hunter said over the com and then he turned it off.

I sigh, waiting for the next person to get their next letter.

It has been an hour and the yellow card has been set out for the next player in this decade's hunger games. Hopefully, she doesn't panic.

~Yvette Johnson~

As I was on my way out, I looked outside to find the letter on the swing, located on the porch. It looked exactly the way Rebecca explained it to me, except it was yellow instead of the green one she sent me yesterday. I picked it up and I read it.

"Yvette Johnson,

Today we have sent you this letter because you are the leader of the yellow team, which composes of you and only you. Come to the arena today to get your color shirt and name. We'll be so happy to see you on the arena.

Sincerely,

The hunger"

I started to shake, as Rebecca and Priscilla were right. I was chosen to go into the arena. I don't know anything about the arena, and I can't study right now! I have to head over and make sure I am there on time. I sighed as I grabbed my cheer bag and placed it in the back seat of my car, driving on a 60 miles an hour speed limit. I know that the speed limit is 50, but I can't be late to this thing honestly. I just can't.

As I arrived at the arena. I knocked on the door. The doors swinging open for me, I sighed, walking into them as I realized that this is now the real life. This is the time I fight for my life. I could die today and no one would know. I sighed as I waited in the waiting room for the announcer to go off.

"Hello, second contestant. You have arrived into the arena. You will place your bags and we will hand you item one by one as the days go on." The hunger said and I left my bags next to the other contestant's bags. The only letters sent out are the blue, yellow, and the green, but I am the second one here. Makes things pretty interesting if I do say so myself.

The yellow door opens and I notice that there is yellow makeup. Like, yellow eyeshadow. I sighed as I walked into the room in my cheerleading uniform. I sat down in front of the makeup drawer and I hear the door slam. I make sure that the line is perfect. I do one line, not good enough. I do another. Still not good enough. I am like a makeup professional. I can do my makeup amazingly at home, but I can't even do a line on my face at the arena! I sighed as I finally got it right after the fiftieth attempt.

"Yvette Johnson, submitted into the games." The announcer said, as I sat and waited for the next letters to come out and to the other contestants.

~Narrator~

And so, two contestants have been submitted into the games. The pink letter has gone out. Who has gotten the letter for pink? We honestly don't know. But you will find out soon.
