As the other five girls are already at school, going on with their day, Priscilla and Phoebe walk to their lockers together. Phoebe's is spray painted in purple and Priscilla's is spray painted in pink. They did it together for fun once they entered high school. Now Priscilla and Phoebe looked at each other, and then opened their lockers. There are two letters. One in Phoebe's locker in purple and one in Priscilla's locker. They both took their letters and read them out loud.
"We were both sent to the arena." Phoebe said, gulping in nerves as she started to look at Priscilla.
~Phoebe Pearson~
Unlike my sister, I rushed out of this school and into the car, driving to the arena, which is like 1 hour and a half away. I looked own and recognized the last days of my normal life could be in this car, and I don't know it until the very last second. I see Priscilla's car right next to me. She is lightning fast I swear. Guess we're entering the arena together. We entered this world together, we exit it together.
I got there first, thank goodness. I got to the arena, hopped out of my car, with my backpack and a knife inside of it. Thinking about the possible outcome of this situation, I walked to the front door. The doors are made of literal silver. I didn't even know that was possible. I hold up my letter to the door and the doors open together. I walk inside and sat down in the waiting room, waiting for him to call my name. The assigned cards were the purple card, the pink card, the yellow card, and the blue card.
Guess I'm not exactly the first one here. I sighed and smiled at the scenery. It's rather good looking scenery in all honesty. I hear the doors open again, Priscilla walking in with her cheer bag and wearing her cheer uniform. She sat down next to me, and looked over to see another cheerleader's bag with the blue bag.
"Phoebe and Priscilla, welcome to the games. Set your bags next to the other competitors and enter your colored rooms." The announcer said, as Priscilla and I looked at each other.
I looked around, knowing this next room could be the last thing I see before I die. Knowing this could be my last breath if I refused to cooperate. I have a one in seven chance of making it out alive. I am just going to live in the game as long as I can and hope it's good enough.
The purple door throws itself open and I hold my sister's hand one last time. Before entering the room, I gave Priscilla the biggest goodbye hug I could give her. Hopefully, we can work together and team up. That seems like a pretty good idea, I just hope that she would be willing to work with me.
"No matter what happens, no matter who makes it out, I will always love you. If I die, keep going." Priscilla said and I nodded.
"If I don't make it out, promise me one thing," I said and she nodded. "Keep yourself safe and bring back the $200,000,000 for mom and dad."
"I promise." She said, as we hugged each other one last time before the possibility of never seeing each other again.
Walking into the arena, I start to get shivers down my back. I waved goodbye to my sister before entering the arena and into my room. I looked and saw the makeup on top of the vanity. I grabbed the purple eyeshadow and placed it like nobody's business, and got a straight line the first time around. It looked so perfect. I looked ready to go.
"Phoebe Pearson, third contestant entering the games." The announcer said and I smirked at the mirror like the bad bitch I am.
~Priscilla Pearson~
I sort of froze for a bit, looking at the letter and Jacob walked up to me. I am now nervous, since I was chosen to go into the arena against my sister.
"I have to go. I can't talk right now." I said, rushing out of the school. I looked behind to see that Jacob looked confused.
He had flowers in a bouquet for me. I just ran out of the school with my cheerleading uniform and hopped into my car like lightning McQueen.
I see my sister on the road as well. I turn up my music so that she can see me, and she turned her back to me, seeing me in the car next to her. We glanced at each other, and then went back to driving to the games. Phoebe starts driving a bit faster than she should. What I mean by that is that she is driving over the speed limit. I am starting to drive a little faster too, but she parks quicker than I do. She hopped out of the car and walked to the doors. Opening the door, I walked to the back of my car and took my cheerleading bag out of it. I sighed and waited at the door after they opened up for my sister.
I held my letter to the door and so I was let into the room. I gulped and looked at my sister.
"Phoebe and Priscilla, welcome to the games. Set your bags next to the other competitors and enter your colored rooms." The announcer said, as Phoebe and I looked at each other.
The purple door was the first to swing open and Phoebe gave me a huge hug, knowing this could be the last time we see each other.
"No matter what happens, no matter who makes it out, I will always love you. If I die, keep going." I said said and she nodded.
"If I don't make it out, promise me one thing," Phoebe said and I nodded. "Keep yourself safe and bring back the $200,000,000 for mom and dad."
"I promise." I said, as we hugged each other one last time before the possibility of never seeing each other again.
She entered the room and the door then slammed shut. I sat down in the room by myself, starting to cry at the fact that I could never see my sister again. The only non-assigned cards are the orange and red. The green one is gone somehow. As the pink door opened, I sighed and walked into the room. Honestly, this can not be good. Going head to head with your sister in one of the most dangerous places I could be in at the moment.
I walked into the room, as I started to grab the pink eyeshadow, dipping my finger in it and applying two lines, one on each cheek. They were horizontal straight lines. It looked great, and then the door slammed shut behind me, which startled me a little bit.
"Priscilla Pearson, fourth contestant entering the games." The announcer said and I looked in the mirror, scared as hell for what is to come next.

As Gianna is walking to get her lunch tray, she notices that there is a green piece of paper underneath her food. She walked out to the hallway and opened it up.
~Gianna Gilbert~
I see this envelope and I know exactly what it is, I just don't know how to get there, since I can't exactly drive. I am seventeen yes, but do I know how to drive? Most definitely not! Looking at the envelope, I am tired of not opening it and so I just let the little thing rip. I unfolded the letter, reading it out loud.
"Gianna Gilbert,
Today we have sent you this letter because you are the leader of the green team, which composes of you and only you. Come to the arena today to get your color shirt and name. We'll be so happy to see you in the arena.
Sincerely,
The Hunger."
I was ready for this. I WAS BORN for this! I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and called my dad as soon as possible.
I rushed outside to make the phone call and he answered me right away.
"Dad?" I asked him through the phone and I could hear him gulp a little bit.
"G? What is it? Are you hurt darling?" He asked me and I shook my head, but then remembered that he can't see me shake my head.
"No, dad. I was chosen for the games." I said and he paused for a second.
I looked around the arena, and then I see the cute guy. The cute guy is strangely wearing clothes and he has a backpack.
"Okay. I am going to pick you up soon, G. Just wait right there." He said and I nodded, as I looked up and down the boy in front of me.
"What was that about?" He asked me and I started to feel a shiver. I don't know if it was from the cold weather, the snow coming out of the sky, or the nerves of the games.
There is no way I am nervous about these games. I have been through a lot worse and made it out alive perfectly fine. I am a strong, independent woman. I am going to be okay.
"I have to compete in the games," I said and he looked scared for me. "I have been through worse. I will be perfectly fine."
"I don't want you to go." He said, hugging me.
"I have to, I am so sorry Kai." I replied, as my dad's car pulled up. I walked over to the car, waving goodbye to Kai.
I got into my dad's car, and I handed him the letter, so he can see for himself that I was chosen for the games, and I was chosen for his favorite color too. I like green, it reminds me of nature, and green always wins. Not a single green has ever lost the games. I am so ready for this. I was born for this.
We arrived to the arena and I walked to the door, holding my letter at the door. The silver doors open up and I walked into the waiting room, as the announcer started to turn on his microphone, megaphone.. whatever the hell he has.
"Gianna Gilbert, welcome to the games. You are our fifth contestant, in the green slot. You will wait for the green gate to open. Put your bags with everyone else's." The announcer said, and I placed my bags next to the blue person's bags.
As the door swung open, I looked back at the silver doors and out the window to see my dad waving at me and then hopping into his car. I waved back while the car was driving away from the hunger games. I sighed, and walked into the door, with it slamming behind me. I notice there is green eyeshadow that I place in horizontal lines on my face, both at the same time. I look into the mirror and I laugh, knowing I am going to win this for me and my family.
