Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After realizing that his first attack had failed, the irate and irrational troll ran towards me with his club raised, snorting and growling like a wild animal.
And seeing the fat, ugly creature coming towards me like an out-of-control truck, I raised my wand, preparing to cast a spell on him.
'{Centum Secare}!' I waved my wand in an X, casting the spell silently.
And as soon as I did that, everything that was 10 meters in front of me was cut and sliced into hundreds of pieces, and in this case the only thing that was in that range of my attack was the mountain troll.
And when my spell hit him some cuts and tears appeared on his skin and on the dirty rags he used as clothes.
And obviously these cuts were not enough to kill the troll, since its skin was very tough and resistant.
However, my spell was not completely ineffective, as it also hit his club, cutting it into several small pieces.
And besides destroying his weapon, my spell also hit the troll's eyes, which were one of the few sensitive parts of his body, not being resistant to damage and magic.
"ArGh!" the Troll growled in pain, dropping what was left of his club as he brought his hands to his bleeding eyes.
And the pain and lack of vision caused the troll's furious advance to turn into a confused, disoriented sprint.
And even blind, the big creature continued coming towards me, and in just a few steps he was already in front of me.
But to avoid him I just took a step to the side, seeing the creature trip over its own feet, falling violently to the ground with a grunt.
And before the troll had a chance to recover I raised my wand and pointed it at him again, aiming for the back of his neck.
'{Erasintegra}' I cast the spell, which when it hit the troll's head practically disintegrated it.
And with that I took the life of the irrational creature, ending our fight that lasted less than 10 seconds.
"Mountain Trolls 0, Ethan Night 2," I joked, twirling my wand between my fingers.
And as I stared at the large dead body at my feet I felt a stirring in my senses, with my "magic radar" picking up a disturbance beginning to emerge in the maze.
And stopping I focused on my senses, trying to figure out what was happening.
When I did this I felt several magical signatures moving wildly through the maze, and I realized then that all this commotion was actually being caused by the magical creatures that were coming towards me.
'Hmm, it seems like all the noise that my fight with the troll caused caught the attention of the other magical creatures nearby' I thought, feeling like the creatures were approaching my location quickly.
And knowing that they would arrive in this area of the maze in a short time, I decided to start moving again, mainly because it would be stupid to remain in this place where it would be easy for all the creatures to gather and corner me.
But instead of running away to get away from the magical creatures I decided that I would go directly towards them.
'Well, I was already going after these creatures anyway, but now they're just making my job easier by coming to me,' I thought, shrugging nonchalantly.
I then turned and looked ahead, focusing on a certain point in the maze as I saw something that was not possible to see with the normal eyes or vision.
'Heh, looks like I found my next victims' I smiled, using my Magic Vision and senses to see through the hedge walls.
And now that I had found my new targets I began my hunt again, with the intention of showing these creatures who was the real predator and who was the prey in this maze.

-In the Stands – With my family-
As the tournament continued, everyone in the stands and outside the maze were watching the task through the large mirrors floating in the sky.
And in the main stands, a very peculiar and eye-catching group was attentively watching the scenes that were playing out in the large two-way mirrors, focused on seeing everything that was happening with two specific champions who were from the same school.
"I knew Ethan was a talented wizard, but looking at him now I don't even have words to describe how impressive he is," my mom commented in wonder, watching me defeat another dozen magical creatures.
"Yes, he looks like a magical warrior defeating all those monsters," my dad said with an excited glint in his eyes.
And Penny who heard the two couldn't agree more with they words, "Heh, my grandson really is amazing, and he also knows how to put on a good show" she said with a proud smile.
"Yes" Nick nodded amused, "And it looks like he's decided he's not going to hold back this time like he did in the other tasks"
And hearing Nick say this, Ted and Andy looked at each other, blinking in confusion, 'He was holding back on the other tasks?!' they thought in shock, before turning to the immortal Frenchman.
But before any of them could ask Nick what he meant by that, their metamorphmagus daughter began to speak, interrupting them.
"Well, Ethan may be putting on a show and all, but I still think he's pretty unlucky to be running into all these magical creatures," Dora said, biting her lip in worry as her blue hair turned orange.
"I wouldn't exactly say he's unlucky..." Remus began to say, drawing attention to him, "Ethan hasn't faced any creature that really posed a danger or even a challenge to him so far, and any traps or spells he encountered in the maze weren't enough to stop him."
"And from what I've noticed and seen so far he seems to know what he's doing and knows where he's going, so I think he has everything under control."
And Nick, who knew me better than Remus, nodded at his words, "Oui... And in fact I'll go even further by saying that Ethan not only knows where he's going, but he also has a goal, and that goal seems to be to hunt down every magical creature in the place," he said.
And everyone in the large group, with the exception of my parents, Penny and Sirius, were surprised to hear this.
"Uh... Are you sure about that?" Ted started to say with a strange look, "Ethan has no reason to do that since he is in a competition and has a task to complete."
"And besides, he wouldn't be crazy enough to go hunting the creatures in the maze, would he?" he asked, looking uncertainly at the other people in the group.
And hearing his question, everyone who knew me at least a little looked at him with blank faces, as if this had been the stupidest thing they had ever heard.
"Look, Ethan is full of mysteries and he is also very unpredictable, but if there is one thing I know and understand about this boy it is that he is completely and irrecoverably crazy" Sirius said with a serious face.
"Yeah, he's right"
"Ethan is not sane at all"
"Totally insane"
And even my parents were agreeing with everyone's answers.
"Everything they said is true," my dad said, with my mom beside him nodding.
And the reaffirmation that I wasn't the most sane and balanced person in the wizard and muggle world put an end to everyone's doubts about Nick's assumption, making them realize that he was probably right about my goal.
And seeing that practically everyone in the group and even my family thought I was crazy, Ted just sweated.
'What the hell has this kid done or been doing to make everyone thinks that about him?' he wondered, not sure if he wanted to know the answer to this question.
And seeing her husband's look, Andy snorted, before shaking her head and looking back at the large mirror in the sky, "Well, whether Ethan is hunting those magical creatures or not, he is still the champion who has faced and defeated the most creatures so far," she said.
"Hah, it's more like he's the only one who actually found them," Sirius said with a snort.
"Indeed," Nick began to say, "So far no other champion, be it Harry, Miss Delacou, or Mr. Krum has encountered or faced any magical creature... And that's strange, since they've been in the maze for a while now," he finished, scratching his goatee with a thoughtful look.
"What do you mean? Is there something wrong with the creatures? Is Ethan in danger?" my mom asked, frowning.
"Well, I don't know," Nick replied, calmly analyzing the situation, "The only thing I can say for now is that something is attracting the magical creatures in the maze to Ethan, and that something could be the noise of the fights, the smell of blood from the dead creatures, or something else."
"And because of that he will probably continue to face many creatures until the end of the task, especially if he continues to go after them like I think he is."
"But well, even if he faces ten or a hundred more magical creatures I still think we shouldn't worry too much, since he's more than capable of handling it with ease and safety," Nick concluded with a shrug, completely trusting in my magical abilities.
"Yeah... I guess you're right," my dad nodded slowly, but the tone of his voice showed that he didn't seem to be so sure.
However, Nick's explanation alleviated the concerns of everyone else in the group a little, and after that, everyone looked back at the mirrors, deciding to pay attention to what was happening in the maze.
And my mom, who was watching me closely, saw me effortlessly defeat one creature after another, and this made her feel a certain relief, seeing that I could actually take care of myself.
But even though she knew I was powerful and had confidence in me, that still wasn't enough to completely calm her anxiety and worry.
'Come on Ethan, stop playing with these magical creatures and grab that cup so this task can finally be finished' she thought, clenching her fists on her lap.
End.
