Chapter 6.2: Five, two

The female pilot fidgets as she sits on the edge of the plane.

"You seem to be a little restless today, what is it?" asks the woman, noticing the female pilot acting a bit out of the ordinary.

"Oh! Sorry if it's troubling you at all. It's just that I remembered something when we had the conversation yesterday. Nothing happened, don't worry," says the female pilot, smiling at her.

"I see. Mind if I ask what it is?"

"Um . . . it's just that I remembered that I was supposed to receive a small letter from my mother,"

"A letter? There are advanced devices, who uses letters to communicate . . . ?" starts the woman but instantly remembers the male pilot from before.

"Never mind, ignore what I said. Why don't you go and grab it then?" she asks, looking at the female pilot.

The female pilot hesitates, "Well, I kind of didn't know how to tell you. Is it fine? I'll be gone for a short while only," she says.

"Yes, of course! You should go! I wouldn't want to be the reason it gets delayed. And also, when you're at ease, I'm even more at ease."

"Thanks a lot! I'll be right back!" smiles the female pilot, flashing like a bolt right after.

". . . What a weird pilot," says the woman, smiling.

. . .

The female pilot is standing on top of her plane and opens the glass enclosure. The plane has only two seats, unlike the other plane.

She scans her hand over a sensor in the front seat and reaches into the box to grab the received letter.

The letter says "Sender: The Third". She looks at a picture of her mother and herself in their pilot outfits standing together, happy and smiling at the camera.

She smiles at it . . . and then opens the letter.
