~(Y/N)'s Point of View~
I woke up the next morning to a knock on my door. I opened it to find Aizawa-sensei waiting there, a bag in his hand.
"I thought you might want these." It was the keychains and soda from last night.
I grinned and took the bag from him.
"Wait just a second, I have to do something and I want to talk to you." He nodded and I shut my door. I quickly got dressed and combed my hair. I didn't bother to look in the mirror and left. I had made little notes with for the key chains and left them on Midoriya's and Bakugou's doors. Both had their own unique note. When I was done, Aizawa and I made out way downstairs and walked to UA.
"I wanted to know the next step. I don't understand what they were thinking. If I were Bakugou, sure. A second try never hurt anyone. But me? Didn't they learn anything from the last event?"
Aizawa looked at me with deep concentration.
"I think the real question is why your power is what it is and why it's so strong. I hate to ask you, but do you remember what your parent's quirks were?" He asked gently.
I shook my head, my forehead wrinkling in concentration as I tried to think of my past.
"I don't mind you asking at all, but my memories attempted to be erased at the hospital when the doctors realized I could probably never recover from a traumatic experience like that. I still remember some things, but not everything. Guess you can never fully erase mental scars huh?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood.
Aizawa patted my head and we had arrived at the classroom. I barely noticed. We walked into a buzz around the class as they spoke about plans for the UA festival.
"Is it really a good idea to do this after the turn of events? And especially after last night?" I whispered to him.
"We teachers have spoken over it and decided that the UA festival was something not only for us to enjoy, but for people outside of UA. It wouldn't be very considerate for people who already have plan for it." He walked to the front of the class and I took my usual seat in the very back by myself.
"Yes, we aren't cancelling to festival. You need to all decide as a class what you want to do."
"Maid cafe!" Kaminari and Mineta both cheered.
"Fight to the death!" Bakugou shouted.
"A seminar!" Momo and Iida suggested.
"What's wrong with you two?" I asked looking at the both of them.
"What's wrong with a seminar? It would show our maternity to the other students!" Iida said waving his hands.
"Which is basically none then." Kirishima said pointing his thumb over his shoulder at Bakugou who was yelling at Midoriya.
I snorted and looked at the others brainstorming. I made my way over to Todoroki's desk. He smiled warmly at me when I approached.
"What do you think about all this?" I asked.
"Bit curious as to what the teachers are thinking, but partially just interested to see what kind of mess we're gonna make of ourselves." I laughed and waved goodbye to go chat with other students.
I approached a shy looking boy who had a bird on his finger.
"Aww, it's a Bohemian Waxwing." I said looking at him. He looked at me with surprised eyes. Shocked that I knew the type of bird it was. "Animals really like you huh?"
He nodded and smiled bashfully.
"I remember you, your Koda. You used one of your birds to deliver messages. Very smart." I said.
He grinned and smiled adorably. So cute.
He hesitated before reaching on the floor by his desk and handing me a flower. It was a pink poppy. I smiled and placed it in my hair.
"Thank you!" I said smiling.
The bell rang and he stood up to leave. he waved and walked out.
"Bye Koda!" I said.
Everyone began filing out of the room until I was the last one. I almost walked out but then remembered my bag.
I turned around and came face to face with Bakugou. He looked at me with appraising eyes, looking at the flower in my hair.
"Oh, am I blocking your way?" I backed a little but froze when he reached to me.
He fixed the flower in my hair and nodded approvingly.
"It was crooked, moron." He said stuffing his hands in his pockets.
I felt myself turn red and he grinned at my reaction.
"Oh?" He said getting closer to me. "Am I making you nervous?" He brushed some hair behind my ear and pulled me a bit closer.
"Bakugou?" I whispered quietly as he drew nearer to my lips, before he settled for my cheek.
"Later nerd." He said walking out.
My legs gave out, and I fell to the ground, from surprise and the happiness in my heart.
"Maybe he does like me." I said in the empty room.
~Bakugou's Point of View~
I walked out after kissing her cheek so she couldn't see my face. I was a bright red. I almost kissed her too.
I waited outside the door, listening for anything when she said.
"Maybe he does like me."
My eyes widened and I let out a quiet chuckle.
"Course I do, you dork." I walked out of UA and to the dorms. I was getting off the elevator when I heard Kirishima's voice.
"Hey, Bakugou, what's this on your door?" I came over kinda quickly to see what shitty hair was talking about.
There was a small pouch hanging on my door with a note. Kirishima was pointing at it. I tore it off my door and tried to read it. Shitty hair tried to look over my shoulder but I shoved him away. It read:
"Hey Firecracker, saw this and thought it was pretty cute. I know you want to be better than All Might, so here's a little something to remind you of your dream. Don't explode.
~(Y/N)
I tried not to make any facial emotion in front of shitty hair and walked into my room. I shut my door and broke into a smile.
I covered my face with my pillow and grinned into it.
I sat up and opened the pouch, and a cute All Might key chain fell out into my palm. I held it up and laughed.
"Your freaking adorable (Y/N)." I said to myself.
~Midoriya's Point of View~
I read the note that I had found on my door with the pouch. It said:
"Hey Izuku! I noticed how much you admire and love All Might, so I thought this was a pretty cute way of you being able to hold onto a happy piece of him. Not that you need it cuz I've seen your room, you All Might dork!"
~(Y/N)
I laughed and blushed. She was such a nice girl. I quickly clipped the keychain to my school bag and smiled. She was going to be a great hero someday I bet.
~(Y/N)'s Point of View~
I walked into the common area where the others convinced Jiro to teach them to play instruments for their concert idea for the festival.
"Oh, you did it?" I asked.
"YES! She finally agreed!" Mina cheered.
"What can you do (Y/N)? Can you dance or anything?" Jiro asked.
I shook my head.
"I have stage fright. I'd prefer a spot of the stage crew if possible." I waved my hands. "I can sing, but I think Jiro should do it after we heard her voice."
"No, let me hear you." Jiro said eagerly.
"Well, I don't-" Jiro pushed me to the couch and sat me down. She handed me the lyrics to a song that she had written that I guess was for the concert. Everyone was in the common room now, watching.
I sighed. I looked at the lyrics and it seemed pretty easy going. I took a deep breath.
"Hero too, I am a hero too. My heart is set," I drew out that last note. "And I won't back down. Hero too, strength doesn't make a hero, a true hero, stands up for what they will be."
I stopped, feeling my face go red and I slammed it into a pillow.
"Ugh, I can't."
The others started clapping and I heard Uraraka, Mina, and Toru cheering.
"(Y/N), that was beautiful!" Jiro said gripping my hands.
"Jiro, if I can barely do it in front of twenty people, then how do I do it with over a hundred?" I said, my voice muffled.
"Don't look at the crowd. Look for someone who you find reassuring and look only at them." Kirishima said.
"He's on the stage with me." I muttered.
"Huh?" They said. I lifted my head.
"Nothing. I will literally die." I said.
A few laughed and I sighed.
~Time Skip~
I had already mastered the lyrics and was humming the melody in my head. Jiro nodded at me approvingly and I smiled. Nerves twitching. Aizawa-sensei walked in.
"Midoriya, Ochako, Tsuyu, Kirishima, (Y/N), can you come here for a minute?"
I waved and followed the others out with Aizawa-sensei when I was surprised to find little Eri with Togata.
"Eri!" Midoriya cried and approached her.
She came over to him happily.
"Eri is being temporarily discharged from the hospital and Nezu is allowing her to come to the UA festival." Aizawa-sensei said. "I thought you might want to see her."
The others smiled and waved at her, trying not to overwhelm her. I crouched down to her height as Midoriya did.
"Hey Eri, remember me?" I asked her.
She nodded at me.
"Eri, this is (Y/N). She helped save you that day." Midoriya said.
She tried to smile and rubbed her cheeks.
"I guess I don't really know what a smile feels like."
Togata waved his hand.
"I'm out of school for a while due to the turn of events. I will happily watch over little Eri while I'm free!"
"Hi Togata." I said standing up.
"Ah, (Y/N). I've been wanting to speak to you." He pulled you over to the side.
He rubbed his neck and smiled.
"I wanted to thank you for caring so much about Sir Nighteye. You only knew his for a small amount of time but cared so deeply. Thank you for that." I smiled and hugged Togata.
"He was an amazing person Togata."
"Mirio. Call me Mirio."
I smiled.
"Well, we gotta go now." He said rejoining the group. "But we'll see you at the festival. Can't wait to see your performance!"
~Time Skip~
I waited with Mina, my leg bouncing with impatience.
"Where is he?" I asked.
We were waiting on a late Midoriya while getting ready to set up for our performance. I had put on the dancers outfit, but was only singing. Along with my nerves, Midoriya's absence was making everyone else nervous too.
He finally arrived and we got ready. I hesitated before walking out onto the stage. My stomach wanted to flip itself and I started to back away.
I bumped into Midoriya.
"Hey, you'll be alright." He said patting my shoulder. He smiled and brushed his hand through his hair. "Also, thanks for that key chain. It was really nice of you!"
I smiled and nodded. Midoriya's kindness washing away my nerves. Koda came over and handed me another flower, this time it was a yellow poppy and I out it in my hair.
I smiled.
"Let's do this."
