Out of the Dark

I stood on the stage beside Jiro, each of us with a microphone and her with a stand. She and I went over the choreography. I would hover about the crowd after a while and add the effects that I could create.

I was wearing the same outfits as the girls that were dancing. I took a deep breath as the curtains opened.

Everyone cheered at the start of Bakugou's explosive drumming.I looked for a comforting or familiar face in the audience and came across Eri and Mirio. I grinned and waved as Jiro shouted.

"Thank you for coming!"

She and I made eye contact and smiled.

"What do they think of me? What do they think I'll be? I really couldn't care less and don't wanna know!" She and I sang.

The others went on with their choreography and I smiled brightly, making eye contact with Mirio who smiled.

After a second, Midoriya and Aoyama went into their stunt where Midoriya throws Aoyama into the air and he sets of his naval laser.

The crowd cheered and as Aoyama came down, Midoriya went off stage for his next stunt. The others danced their way into position for they next blowout. I backed up to the back of the stage by Bakugou. I turned around while singing and winked at him. He smirked and nodded his head.

Todoroki had set off his ice and the others blasted off the party cannons. Lost of confetti and and glitter floated throughout the air as everyone cheered with excitement. Asui draped Ochako down above the crowd, she held out her hands and her quirk started making people float.

Kirishima was rubbing ice against his hardening quirk and made it snow. I waved to Bakugou and ran and jumped off the stage.

The crowd gasped and I grinned.

I quickly used my air and flew above the crowd and they cheered at the surprise. I flew above with the floating members of the audience and waved. I flew down and around with Uraraka and she and I high fived each other.

Then we got to the good part. The band finished the climax and it came to the melodic part of the song.

I floated back to the stage and hovered above it as I sang with Jiro.

"Hero too, I am a hero too." It was the part I had sung in the dorm. "My heart it set, and I won't back down. Hero too, strength doesn't make hero. A true hero, stands up to what they will be. Yeah I'll be!" Jiro and I cheered.

I flew back above the audience and set a trail of fire and water in my wake. They both spread above the crowd and some people brushed their hands through the water.

The band finished their song and jammed out the rest.

I was breathing hard, from focusing on my power and singing at the same time.

I landed in the crowd and they made a small circle, cheering and clapping. I came over to Mirio and Eri and stopped short when I saw her smiling.

"ERI!" I cheered and came over. She reached out to me and I went with her into the air. "Your smiling!" I cried seeing her bright grin.

"That was so fun!" She said happily.

I flew around in the air with her as she giggled.

After the gym we were assigned to cleared out, I landed back with a giggling Eri and gave her back to Mirio.

"See you in a bit!" I called running to go get changed.

~Time Skip~

I met the others in the back building where everyone was cleaning up. I waved to the others and they smiled.

"You and Jiro were great!" Midoriya and Uraraka said.

"Haha, thanks. Midoriya!" I said grabbing his attention. "Eri smiled!" I cheered.

"Really! She did!?" He asked, a huge smile on his face.

"And she laughed! Midoriya she loved it!" I said.

I grinned and looked around at the others who were cleaning up. After we were finished, we went to see the beauty pagent winner, and I was not surprised to find out it was Hado.

After she won, she came over to see Uraraka and Asui. She saw me and smiled.

"(Y/N)! You should have entered! You totally would have won. Not only are you pretty, but with these hips, all the boys in 1-A must have a crush on you." She placed her hands on my hips and measured it. Then she slid them up my stomach to going for my chest before Tamaki pulled her off of me.

"Hado are you serious?!" He asked.

"Haha, sorry Tamaki. I couldn't handle myself." Mineta came over, grinning like a perv and chuckled.

"If Hado is allowed to touch her, I don't see why I can't." I wasn't paying attention, trying to calm down Tamaki's repetitive apologies.

"(Y/N)!" Mina shouted. I turned around just in time to see Mineta get blown up into the air. We all looked at Bakugou who was glaring at Mineta.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS MINETA?! I'M GONNA SQUISH YOU LIKE A GRAPE!!!" He shouted.

"He usually doesn't protect people. Why now?" Tokoyami asked Todoroki.

"I've had it with the girls complaining all the time with you perviness! All they do is complain and complain. If I kill you, maybe they'll shut up.!" Bakugou answered Tokoyami's question.

"Huh." Midoriya said watching as Bakugou tried to kill Mineta.

"Bakugou." I said evenly.

He froze in mid-swing at Mineta.

"Leave him be." I said. I walked with Mirio and Midoriya who were speaking with Eri. She was recounting all the exciting events of the conert.

"But I really liked it when (Y/N) and I flew! That was so fun!" She cried.

Mirio and Midoriya looked at me smiling. I was distracted with Uraraka and Asui asking questions.

~Bakugou's Point of View~

I almost killed the damn perv. He had almost grabbed her too. Such rage and jealousy at the thought of someone grabbing her set me off.

I was about to land a finishing blow when her voice froze me.

"Bakugou." I turned and looked at her. "Leave him be."

WHAT?! SHE WANTED ME TO LET HIM LIVE AFTER HER ALMOST TOUCHED HER?!

Then I remember the kindness she had towards those she cared about.

I sighed and let Mineta duck behind the tentacle armed dude. He was okay, he minded his own business.

We all returned to the festival and hung out for a while. I went off by myself, too annoyed by everyone and sat on a bench in a isolated are of the courtyards.

Something cold was pressed against my neck and I flinched.

"The hell?!" I shouted and turned around.

(Y/N) was standing there, holding up a soda.

"Hey Firecracker."

"Why do you keep calling me that?" I said scooting away from her. She must have thought I was making room for her on the bench because she sat next to me.

"Cuz it suits you. Your quirk explodes, but so does your personality. But it's not as dangerous, but entertaining. Your like a firecracker." She titled her head and looked around.

"No one calls me anything other than my name. No one ever has. I hear Asui likes to go by Sue and Midoriya goes by Deku. He calls you Kacchan which is pretty cute, but it seemed like a personal nickname."

I nodded before realizing it, in agreement.

"Your name could be shortened to practically anything." I growled.

She looked at me and sighed.

"You never seem to have any other goals here. Doesn't it get exhausting? Constantly yelling at everyone and being loud and mean and grumpy? Cuz I used to be. And It got tiring after a while. So I just blocked everyone out. Eventually, someone opened me up and I was a people person again."

I snort and hold out my hand.

"Everyone here acts all friendly, but we're here to be heroes, not make friends."

She slipped her hand next to mine. That's when I noticed her's covered in scars. She had a few peeking out from under her collar on back too.

"But that's the only way to survive places like this. To have someone to help you through it. You act like you have no one, but you have Kirishima and Midoriya."

She stood up and walked away.

"I used to be a very unhappy person before this place. It changed me. Maybe it can change you too."

"You, unhappy? Okay, sure. And my favorite color is pink." I said walking away. I didn't want to leave her with a snarky remark so I waved.

"You looked really pretty today and whatever. You did great at the concert."

~(Y/N)'s Point of View~

I blushed, thinking about Bakugou's last words and made my way back to the groups.

"Let's have some fun!" Toru shouted.

We went all over the place. We tried food stands, games, watched other performances, and just walked around.

We all met up back at the dorms at the end of the day and relaxed in the common room.

"Okay, first. Props to Jiro and (Y/N) for their amazing singing." Kirishima announced.

I blushed and Jiro and I laughed.

"Props to the band for jamming it out and doing their best." He said to Momo, Tokoyami, and Kaminari.

"And finally. Props to the special effects and hardworking stage crew!" He said.

Everyone cheered and clapped. Everyone dissolved into their own chatter.

"That was actually pretty fun." Asui said.

"Congratulations everyone, we did good!" Iida said waving his hands.

I laughed and turned my eye, just slightly. Just enough for me to see the key chain dangling from someone's wallet. I turned to see Bakugou's wallet sticking out of his pocket and the key chain attached to it.

I smiled to myself as everyone closed up for the night.

I went to lay down and everyone's lights went out.

I slowly but surely passed out.

~Time Skip~

We continued classes with everything going back to normal. I got a few updates every occasional now and then, but everyone was already getting back into the routine of normal classes.

We had a couple trainings here and there, but mostly worked on our studies. I had been feeling less and less worried about the turn of event sna eventually forgot about the league.

But little did I know, they were ready.

~LOV Point of View~

"We needed to stop wasting our time on another UA student that wants nothing to do with us." Shigaraki said leaning against the counter.

"Ugh! Hands, I don't think you realize how precious this cargo is. If we could get out hands on here, we could bring any hero to their knees!" Dabi cried.

"If we could control her. I can't stel quirks like boss so we're left with her full cooperation as an obstacle." Shigaraki said. He looked at Mr. Compress.

"Compress is in love with her, he wants her here too." Twice said. He looked around the room to see Toga looking out of the window, daydreaming.

"Look, we have bigger issues and planning to do okay? We got the bullets to the doctor who's making more. we just need to be patient."

Shigaraki sighed and left.

"I'm ready boss. We'll take the heroes down. Just like you dreamed."
