(Chapter 17) A Shopping Incident

Astrid was stuck at home the next day due to her father and mother following the advice of the school, she spent the time on her phone doing more research.

Astrid sighed as she stretched her body out in the sun, although it was close to winter, the summers in Italy were still long-lasting, maybe another week or two and Astrid may struggle to relax outside as she was now.

"Hey baby, are you alright?" Mrs. Tuhs came up and sat beside Astrid who was sitting with her eyes closed.

"Mm, just relaxing." Astrid responded warmly, she was quite full after eating lunch so a walk and some digestion time was good for her.

Mrs. Tuhs smiled in response, "Good, how do you feel about following me somewhere fun?" Mrs. Tuhs asked as she ruffled Astrid's hair.

"Okay." Astrid answered without much pressure, she didn't mind going somewhere.

.......

"Alright, this is it." Mrs. Tuhs smiled at Astrid when the car stopped.

Astrid looked out the window and looked at the shop in front of her. "An old friend of mine has a birthday party later, you don't have to go to the party but I wanted to see what you felt like giving her." Mrs. Tuhs explained as they walked into the jewelry shop.

Astrid nodded. Although she wasn't the most feminine girl in the world, she could still pick out something which would look good.

Mrs. Tuhs and Astrid walked into the expensive store, when they entered they were under close scrutiny of the attendants, upon seeing their clothing. They gave no attention to them.

Mrs. Tuhs didn't care and just roamed the shop. Since there were enough cases to fill the shop, she must look at them all right?

Astrid didn't ask anything about her mother's friend, she just looked around for something that looked nice.

What caught her eye was a set of earrings, although they weren't the most expensive in the case, they had a class and looked distinct enough to be a good present.

"Excuse me, this set of earrings has already been ordered by a customer." An attendant came up to Astrid and spoke.

Astrid didn't pay much attention to the attendant, she just looked at the price and then looked for her mother.

"You found something?" Mrs. Tuhs spotted Astrid who had nodded, she looked at what Astrid looked at and was quite happy.

The attendant blushed. She was blatantly ignored by the girl! And now her mother seemed to have walked over...

"Excuse me, this set of earrings have been ordered already. I'm sorry but we can't sell these." The attendant spoke much more rashly and angrily than before.

Mrs. Tuhs expression changed slightly. Causing the attendant to boost herself in confidence. 'Heh, you really think you can afford something like this? Have you no shame? Leave the shop now.'

The attendants had judged Astrid and Mrs. Tuhs based on the clothes they wore out. They both wore quite casual clothes and they didn't bring any guard with them. So they can't be able to afford such high-class jewelry...

"Oh? Then why is it being showcased? I thought this shop has the policy of being able to buy what you see?" Mrs. Tuhs aura pressured the attendant.

The attendant's eyebrows scrunched. The store did have that policy, it was something their designer said once. 'The items I make aren't for show, they are to be worn by people.'

Seeing her expression. Mrs. Tuhs understood immediately. "We will be having this. Pack it up." One must praise Mrs. Tuhs pressuring she could do on people.

Then the store door opened. Revealing a woman wearing a high-class dress. Showy makeup, expensive jewelry. And wearing perfume that could stink out the store.

Astrid immediately frowned. She turned to find the source of the horrendous smell. Then seeing a strangely familiar face...

"Where are the earrings I ordered?" She spoke with a haughty attitude and blabbered her mouth.

Astrid hid away her cold smile. She found out the answer to her question about the employee under her father...

It was the woman that tried to seduce her dad! She was quite attractive without makeup at the workplace. But then again...

"Miss Direa, your earrings are here, let me collect them for you." The attendant who was scowling at Mrs. Tuhs and Astrid had a 180 turn in attitude when seeing the woman.

Direa smiled. "Good, also. Doesn't the store not allow people to linger for too long a time?" Direa gave the best hint possible when she saw the sight of Astrid and Mrs. Tuhs standing in front of the earrings she wanted...

The attendant fawned over Direa's every word. "I'm sorry, if you don't leave now we will have to use force." She spoke coldly, with a smile on her face.

Astrid didn't say anything but just adjusted her gaze to Direa. She then smiled, it was so cold it gave Direa the shivers immediately.

"Leave? I'm pretty sure the way you treat your customers is very poor. Ordering us to leave when we have been inside for only 10 minutes." Mrs. Tuhs spoke very calmly. She would never step down now she found something to buy.

The attendant's face was very grim, while Direa's face was one of loathing. "I think getting the manager here to sort these types of people would the best." She looked down on 'those types of people' that Mrs. Tuhs and Astrid were.

The attendant nodded and called for the general manager. While Astrid felt her phone vibrate. She took out her phone and started to type some things.

Direa was disgusted by the actions of Astrid. How uncultured." She mumbled, seemingly mocking Astrid.

Keeping in mind that Astrid looked around 11-12 in her current outfit. Mrs. Tuhs was immediately enraged by this woman's words, it seemed that something funny would happen later...

"Those are the customers that refuse to leave." The attendant spoke with flames in her mouth as she set the general manager on them.

'Heh! I can't wait until you get thrown out, then I can get a tip from Miss Direa...' The attendant was thinking of her own selfish thoughts right now, not noticing the wide-eyed gaze the general manager was looking at Mrs. Tuhs with.

The general manager's hand was shaking, he walked up to Direa and Mrs. Tuhs and bent his back 90 degrees. "Apologies for the inconvenience madam." He spoke with the ultimate fawing in his voice.

"Hm, it's fine. Just make sure this stinky woman and her child leaves this store immediately." Direa was surprised that her sugar daddy had some control in this store. But she was floating with the attention she just received.

The general manager immediately shook in place. 'S-Stinky woman?' He couldn't believe what just came out of this woman's mouth.

But with the general manager not moving from his spot. Direa became irritable. "What? Does this store not have any security to throw out two beggers!?" Her face was rather unsightly, despite being pretty. A woman's temperament can be her beauty.

Astrid had a cold smile drawn on her face by this time. 'Is this woman stupid? I wonder if she has sex with a fat sugar daddy too much to understand what is going on?'

"That's fine manager Kev, just make sure to train the staff better next time. Using such words in front of my daughter is quite rude." Mrs. Tuhs spoke softly, to the surprise of every member of staff.

'Hah!? Is the woman mad? How is the general manager addressing her!? What a joke!' They were going to laugh in contempt, before...

"My apologies, I will train the staff better next time. What does madam require this time?" He spoke with the utmost respect and care.

"..." Direa's face was badly contorted at this time, she was embarrassed so badly!

While the staff's facing was slowly changing, especially the attendant. Who now realized that she may have offended someone she shouldn't.

"Ah, just tell your boss that I wish for these earrings, you see, my daughter picked them out for my friend's birthday." Mrs. Tuhs spoke ever so 'softly' making the manager break out in a sweat.

"Yes, yes. Take the earrings out of the casing and pack it immediately. Would that be all madam?" He asked again with a fawning smile.

"No, that's fine." Mrs. Tuhs was worried that her daughter would contract some disease from the woman in front of her.

Another attendant wrapped up the earrings and immediately gave it to the manager. "Manager Kev, you won't be gifting these for free right?" Mrs. Tuhs chuckled, did she not have to pay today?

"No, no, no. How would I dare? If madam likes the gift, then the boss would be more than happy to gift it to you." Manager Kev shook his head. He wouldn't want to be killed by his boss for being rude to Mrs. Tuhs would he?

Mrs. Tuhs seemed pleased. "How!? How does this bitch get the earrings for free?" Direa couldn't keep it in anymore.
