(Chapter 18) Throwing Out The Trash

Manager Kev's face immediately soured. 'This woman wishes to die today.' He was baffled that she would treat the woman his boss treaded carefully around poorly...

Mrs. Tuhs's expression didn't sour, in fact, she chuckled lightly, as what she heard was just a joke.

"You laugh!? Why would the general manager treat you so well unless you had some sort of relationship with him!?" Direa was now delirious, spouting insults at will.

Manager Kev was beyond outraged, he made sure the customer wasn't angry and heaved a massive sigh of relief.

But he forgot someone. "Oh? You call my mother a slut?" Astrid asked with a smirk.

Direa didn't pay any attention to the young girl beside the woman before. But looking at her again, she looked barely a teenager! "Of course! Your mother must have some benefits in this store for doing some good activities."

Mrs. Tuhs took none of the insults to heart, she looked at Astrid in worry. If this woman tried anything with her daughter...

Mrs. Tuhs was surprised though. She watched her daughter laugh with a wide smile on her face, it was intoxicating for her. How long had been since she last saw Astrid laugh like this?

"Excuse me, I just heard a joke. From the woman who sleeps with... Ah, 3 different sugar dads. And are currently targeting the CEO of the Hanxi corporation, don't you speak flattering words?" Astrid's face was stone cold.

Direa was tongue tied. 'H-How does she know?? Isn't she just a child?'

"Heh, be careful of your mouth young girl. Otherwise your attitude will be put in place one day." Direa threatened with a dark face.

Manager Kev's sweat then directly fell on the floor. 'Is... Is there going to be a war in my store? God, threatening this woman's daughter... She wishes for an early death!'

As expected, Mrs. Tuhs face immediately blackened. "We'll be taking our leave now manager Kev." Her voice was colder than an iceberg. Evident she was furious!

Mrs. Tuhs held Astrid's hand and walked out with the pair of earrings. Suddenly in an awful mood...

"S-Security, get this woman out of here immediately." Manager Kev ordered, he felt like her lost 10 years of his life today.

Security guards surrounded Direa and 'escorted' her out. With many threats about her grand sugar dads' positions. Direa was led outside.

The attendant who sided with Direa felt like kneeling right now. "M-Manager, w-who was that woman?" She asked with shaky knees.

Would she be fired? No! She can't be! She needs to pay rent this week!

Manager Kev took a tissue and wiped his forehead. "A woman that even the boss doesn't dare to offend. I don't know who she is, but the boss has distinctly ordered me to never offend her... So I think you were lucky today." Manager Kev looked at the attendant sternly.

The attendant dumbly nodded. Someone the big boss didn't dare to offend? The big boss of this store was someone from an established family, this store had been open for almost 100 years...

.......

"Baby, were the words you said true?" Mrs. Tuhs asked incredulously.

Astrid nodded. "Mm, she was the woman that was trying to seduce dad. She is either a spy or just a high-class prostitute." Astrid spoke as this was like talking about the weather.

Mrs. Tuhs laughed out loud. "A high-class prostitute? I guess so. Come, let's go home then." Mrs. Tuhs bad mood was now replaced, at least she wouldn't need to worry about her daughter in society if she was able to pick out a person's weak point so easily.

Astrid nodded. She felt one more second smelling that perfume she might have become stupid.

.......

"Young Miss, Francesca invited us around her house on the weekend." The school day had long ended, and now Winoa was accompanying Astrid in the garden.

Astrid continued to gaze at the flowers. "Alright that's fine. Just inform my parents about it and they will worry about it." Astrid spoke softly, her body was quite tired after dealing with that woman.

Winoa nodded and did so. Leaving Astrid to sleep in the relaxing breeze.

Astrid didn't sleep, instead, thinking about some things...
