(Chapter 58) A New Secretary

Outside, Winoa was sitting in a sleek black Mercedes waiting for Astrid to come out with Francesca.

"Woah, isn't that a limited edition Camara? Wasn't only 5 built in the world?" Francesca's voice then filled Winoa's ears.

"Mm." Astrid responded with a hum. She had already moved her businesses into Germany. The car was a gift to her from someone wishing for good relations...

"Winoa! Wow! You certainly have changed." Francesca saw Winoa open the door, and widened her eyes seeing her.

Changed would be an understatement. While Astrid let her hair grow long, down to her back. Winoa decided to keep her hair short. In fact, it was more like ear length. But was purposefully kept to the left side.

Winoa grew a little more, but not as much as the other 2. She was 5 foot 7 and kept a good body shape. But she wore a suit and kept short hair. If she didn't have her curves she would be seen as a feminine male.

"Mm, It's nice to see you again." Winoa was happy, she hadn't seen Francesca for so long, she was her second friend besides Astrid.

Francesca gave her a deep hug and then got into the car. Seeing Winoa drive and Astrid in the back while she was in the passenger seat. She felt surreal.

"I'll drop you off at my house. Winoa you can go see Andrea for a bit." Astrid spoke up in the quiet car.

"Understood Miss." Winoa responded on instinct, she had long gotten used to saying that.

Francesca was surprised. 'I wonder what they were doing for so long? Winoa changed so much! She seems more mature than before.'

She wasn't wrong. Winoa had grown up quickly under Astrid's influence, she was now a dangerous person in her own right. It just wasn't that well known that she was.

Seeing the familiar house in sight Astrid gave a light smile. "May we have you identification?" The guard at the door was new. And didn't recognize Winoa who was driving.

"Sure." Winoa reached out and gave him a passport. He scrutinized it, and then handed it back to her. "I'm sorry but we can't allow you to enter." He spoke in an apologetic tone, but Winoa was no idiot.

Francesca frowned. There would be no way the guards weren't told about Astrid and Winoa today right? Seeing Astrid send a message off, she then stayed quiet and ignored the situation.

Mr. Tuhs then appeared on the long pathway, he hurried to the gates and saw the car he was expecting.

"Why don't you let them in?" Mr. Tuhs looked at the guard than at the car, his expression neutral.

"Sir, the identification given wasn't suitable to be allowed in." The guard bowed toward Mr. Tuhs.

"Oh? Fire him." That was when Mr. Tuhs heard an extremely familiar voice.

He kept the smile away from his face though. He needed to play the role of a stern parent who was angry at his daughter not coming home for 3 years after all. "Fire me? Who do you think you are? Sir, shall I escort them out?" The guard bowed even deeper to Mr. Tuhs now.

Mr. Tuhs felt that stern face now cracking. 'This guard dares to be rude to my daughter? I see he wants to be tortured to death today.' He had heard about some of his daughter's trials when she was abroad. As a middle-aged man, he shivered at the thoughts within his teenage daughter's brain. But he couldn't help but feel sorrow and guilt. They were the reason she was forced like this.

Inside the car, Astrid was already seething. "Father, it seems I should tell mother about your female partners at work." Astrid was sick already, she needed to do business.

The guard then had a strange face planted on him. Then it morphed into shock, then into fear.

"Haha, I'm not sure about that one Astrid. You know me and your mother have a great relationship, she would never doubt me despite your schemes." Mr. Tuhs gloated. It was his petty punishment for his daughter okay?

Astrid raised her eyebrow. "You think she would listen to you instead of me? You know a woman who recently gives birth is prone to thinking they are being cheated on right?" Mr. Tuhs expression then fell.

"Shit." He mumbled under his breath. He lost at the first sentence. His wife wouldn't hesitate to kick him onto the sofa if for one word by Astrid...

"Alright. Open the gate." Mr. Tuhs grudgingly said. He lost this one...

His gaze then fell on to the guard who now was sweating from nerves. "Come with me." Mr. Tuhs spoke with a tone that couldn't be understood by the guard. But he understood it was probably the end of his job here...

Winoa went in and parked, she and Francesca went off and went inside. While Astrid moved into the driver's seat.

She sent a few messages on her phone and read a report by Wu about the situation in the business.

After 20 minutes, she left the property, not seeing where the guard now was. But knowing exactly what was happening to him...

.......

Astrid sat down at her desk and started to do her work. She waited for Wu to come into her office...

After only 5 minutes, he came in. "Morning boss. Here is the state of the management here." He reported every single member of management within the company.

Wu hadn't changed much physically, just becoming slightly bulkier. But he now was a trained Vice President for Astrid. He also had unrivaled loyalty to her. As his name was cleared from the government watch list, and he was now respected in the underworld as well as within the business.

But he never forgot the hand that fed him. He knew that Astrid could make him, meaning she could also break him immediately. She knew everything he had done, and he also had no wish to betray her. So he worked incredibly hard for Astrid.

Astrid spent 4 minutes going through and circling a few names. "Keep the others, make sure the others never see another job in the country again." Her voice was emotionless, she didn't care that she had just ruined multiple people's lives. They dared to spy on her, they deserved to live in poverty for the rest of their lives.

Wu nodded as he took the paper. "I'll take a look at the departments. Make sure the dinner is set up later." Astrid said that as she walked out of her office.

Wu nodded and inwardly sighed. He would never voice his opinions on this matter, but he sometimes felt Astrid was incredibly dark. And even eviler than what others thought she was...

Seeing such a beauty in a crimson suit walk around their departments, the employees were confused, but some. Some recognized her as the woman from the interview that had a while ago...

Hence, they made the other employees work even harder. Such diligence wasn't missed by Astrid. As she came along a familiar face.

"B-B-Boss." The man from the interview. Was now a senior director within this branch. He was one of the few people who knew Astrid's identity apart from Astrid's secretaries and Wu.

"Moustof, come with me." Astrid brought along Moustof from his job to her office.

The employees saw the interaction, and were mindblown. The woman had entered into the President's private elevator! Only the Vice President could enter along with the President! So did that mean she was the President?

Astrid brought Moustof into her office and proceeded to reach under her chin.

Moustof's expression as Astrid pulled away the face mask was priceless. While he could recognize her from that face because he remembered her features so vividly, the face now shown to him was a hundred times more beautiful. In fact, if he didn't know anything different. He would think she was Miss Italy...

"Now then, I decided back then that you would be someone important to me in the future. How about a small promotion Moustof?" Astrid's eyes were heterochromia. One was a dark blue, while the other was a crimson red...

It made sense why she wore contacts and a face mask. It attracted attention. But in front of those she deemed trustworthy, she showed her true face to.

Moustof quickly understood this. He gave a low bow. "I understand boss." He wasn't stupid. If he didn't accept, he would probably be killed.

Astrid then gave him a contract from her desk. "Go and find the Vice President. He will help you with what you ask." Astrid sent her troubles to someone else. As she picked up one of the many reports she needed to sign off.

Moustof took it as his time to leave. So Astrid sat in her office signing paperwork for a couple of hours.
