(Chapter 96) Lies And The Density Of The Human Heart

"Hey bro! Is it true you brought a woman back home?" Leone had rushed home after he got a phone call from the butler about Lewis's actions. Now he was looking at him with burning eyes.

Lewis inwardly sighed seeing the anger in Leone's eyes. "I did." Leone's face then morphed subtly at the confession.

"Wha... Hey, don't you think you should tell mother? What about grandfather? And... I swear if this girl isn't who I think it is I... I..." Leone was fuming, as he quickly spoke his thoughts in anger.

Lewis then chuckled. "You will do what? Don't worry, grandfather knows. I will tell mother when it is appropriate..." Lewis spoke softly at the last part, he knew this family was missing a female touch. Her mother was often lonely at home without his father and only had a few close friends. So an addition of a daughter-in-law should make her happy.

Leone was fuming. For the first time, he questioned his esteemed older brother. "Didn't you say you were interested in Astrid? I know for certain she hadn't come here. So who was it? Don't tell me you lied to her!?" Leone was angry. He was certain Lewis fancied his friend. And he also would need to answer to Francesca and Winoa at the same time... He couldn't deal with that.

Lewis didn't respond and stayed queit. Inwardly asking how Leone could be so stupid. But he decided to keep Leone's pride... For now.

Leone huffed away in anger seeing Lewis enter his 'work mode'. Completely ignoring him as he starting to look at documents.

As Leone walked through the mansion. He passed by the butler, who was cleaning up a table. "Bulter Guilliano, can you describe the woman that my brother brought here?" Leone spoke in a cold and imposing manner, something not like him a few years ago.

The butler suddenly rubbed his chest. "Well... She was almost the same height as the master, she had long blonde hair. And... one blue eye, while the other seemed to be damaged some way. Black with red in the center... But I can say she was a very pretty girl and suited the Master." The butler ratted out Lewis, since he knew Leone would never do anything against his Master.

Leone was listening in silence. He was sure that half of the description fit Astrid perfectly, she was an ethereal beauty, tall, and had a cold demeanor. Probably why the butler said she suited his brother. But he was stunned by the eye comment...

Leone just decided to go get some air. He took a car he had bought with his own money. And started the engine.

As soon as he did, his phone started ringing. He went to pick up, and saw the contact 'Devil'.

He shivered slightly before preparing to answer the phone. "Fran, How may I help?" He spoke in a soft and submissive voice.

... Ever since they left school and Astrid disappeared, the relationship between Francesca and Leone was strange. Francesca had 'ordered' him to pick her up at night and drive her many times. Often leeching off his for meals and the like.

In Francesca's mind, she was doing that because she wanted to be around Leone. He was so stupid sometimes that he often got hung up with his older brother and Astrid being M.I.A. So he would call him to 'comfort' him. Like a good elder sister...

Did these two realize the sparks between each other? Not really, Leone was dense. And too hung up on his brother. While Francesca was told strictly by her manager that no relationships were possible in her industry. So she had subconsciously put it to the back of her mind.

Of course, the manager would now cry. How could he refuse Francesca being in a relationship when such a big boss was behind her? But that's for later...

Inside the Di Rui house. Francesca was sitting with her father while on the phone. Her eyes clear, but also filled with worry. "Leone, Astrid called me earlier to tell you to make time on November 11th. She said it is required for you to be clear on that day." Francesca spoke somewhat casually, but her father, and even Leone. Could feel her nerves.

November 11th? What was so special about that day? Leone and Francesca didn't know. But this was Astrid they were talking about. A genius of all definitions. Someone they knew was powerful, but they didn't know the scope of her power. And also, their friend.

Leone frowned subtly. "Okay that's fine. but why didn't she call me directly?" Leone was upset, he hadn't seen both Winoa and Astrid for a while. He only heard they were back because of Francesca and he felt left out.

"Oh, she said your phone was off. She also didn't want to disturb your studies." Francesca told the truth about the first sentence. But the second was her own opinion.

Astrid cared a lot of her friends She might now show or display it. But they all knew.

Leone cursed. His phone was off earlier, he forgot to charge it when he fell asleep the night before. He only turned it on earlier... He then saw he had a missed call 10 minutes before his first class this morning....

"Anyway, how about coming over? My dad wanted to talk to you about your studies, he minored in law when he studied." Francesca spoke extremely naturally on the phone. Like she wasn't nervous...

"Alright then." Leone sighed softly. It seemed he would be trapped with the devil for longer... But he accepted the offer, so did he not want to go himself?

On the other side, Francesca smiled. "Alright, see you in a bit." Then she hung up.

Her father looked at her with a strange expression. "Didn't your manager not allow you to date anyone?" He asked innocently, he didn't mind Leone. In fact, he quite liked the simple, but hard-working man.

Francesca then frowned in response. "Me, date him? No? He will be paying for my lunch tomorrow, and asking you about his law." She answered in a seemingly natural manner.

But her body did react, as Francesca felt her heartbeat quicken at the thought of her and Leone dating. 'Who would want to date that idiot?' She thought scornfully while looking at her dad like he was an alien.

Mr. Di Rui sighed. it seemed her daughter hadn't realized her feelings yet... She wanted to be doted on by Leone. Since he was so dense, she had to use other methods...
