(Chapter 119) The Sweet And Adorable Younger Sister

Astrid left as quickly as she came in. Leaving a tornado in her wake, as the shareholders were left in a stunned silence.

"You did great in there! Haha! I'm sure they will be left speechless until the week." Mr. Tuhs had a smile on his face as he thought about the shareholder's response to Astrid's existence within Hanxi.

Astrid finished her cigarette and then looked back to her father.

"Maybe they will, but dad. You said that I will be getting what you have... What will Anya get?" Astrid seemed a little bothered by this. She didn't need what her parents have, she had enough as it is...

Mr. Tuhs chuckled at Astrid's question. "Don't worry about that too much. Not only does your mother have a sizeable amount hidden away, so does Veronica. Also, if you do take what is rightfully your mother's back. Then there will be plenty." Mr. Tuhs wasn't worried at all, not only because of the reasons he said. But he was sure a certain older sister wouldn't leave a younger sister with nothing...

Lewis understood Mr. Tuhs' thoughts. While Astrid nodded in understanding. "I heard that the wealth was all used up by the Yuke family by now. Even so, I won't be able to trace the money used back to our family anymore. But the priceless treasures still in Russia must be numerous..." Astrid seemed to be comforting herself here. She knew her question was a little silly, but she still worried about her younger sister in this deal.

Mr. Tuhs nodded and opened the private elevator. "See? And if all is bad... I know for certain that Anya will still receive enough from you. So... I'm going to go back to work, I have a few meetings later." Mr. Tuhs said as Stephan also got in the elevator.

Astrid nodded. "Alright, I'll be home tonight." Astrid said as a goodbye, making her father very happy...

She and Lewis then walked out of the building and went back to the car. "How about staying at my house?" Astrid suddenly asked as she pulled out another cigarette.

Lewis raised his eyebrows at Astrid. Did she even understand the fire that burned in his heart when she just asked that question?

"Well... We always stay at an office together. I think we shouldn't get into that habit." Hearing silence, Astrid got a little shy and rubbed her cheek.

Lewis then hugged and kissed Astrid. "That... Would be a good idea." He said, as Astrid reciprocated the kiss.

.......

"Big brother! Mama! Big brother and Sis are here!" The first person to see them go back home, was a very excitable Anya.

"Oh come here you." Astrid felt all negativity wash away seeing her very cute and adorable sister. She bent down and picked her up. Giving her a large smooch on her cheek.

"Hehe, that tickles!" Anya protested verbally, but the smile and flushed cheeks told the whole story.

Lewis smiled watching the interaction... He and Astrid had talked about having kids... And knowing how much she enjoyed being around Anya, he could already feel the possibility of that happening.

"Oh? Lewis, please come in." Mrs. Tuhs saw the three of them having a fun time, and invited in the guest with a smile.

In her eyes, Lewis wasn't really a guest anymore, he had eaten around their house a few times, and also that picture they got from Winoa... Mrs. Tuhs' eyes couldn't help but look at Astrid's flat stomach...

Astrid didn't notice with a bubbly Anya in her arms, but Lewis caught a glimpse. But couldn't pinpoint where Mrs. Tuhs looked...

"Oh, I see to haven't greeted you two yet... Lewis, this is my sister Veronica. Ver, this is Lewis. He is Astrid's... Boyfriend." Mrs. Tuhs very naturally introduced Lewis to Veronica.

Lewis smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Urzhokov." Lewis greeted as Veronica stood up.

She was surprised to see her niece seemed to be in a relationship... But seeing Lewis greet her so politely, she smiled. "Don't be stiff. Just call me aunt." Veronica replied as she gave a gentle smile to both Lewis and Astrid.

She had a lot of debt to Astrid, although they are blood-related, Astrid hadn't seen her in many years before she met her again. And yet, she built up enough strength to get her out of Russia and into her home once again... So she was not only proud of her niece, but also very thankful.

Although she was worried about seeing her eye for the first time, she came to understand how it came about. She supplied the blood in those 'soups' for years. And even though she didn't know the exact details, she had a wild theory on what happened.

So she didn't feel fear in her niece's presence. But instead guilt. The entire family wanted to know what kind of illness Astrid had, but they never could find anyone who knew. But they only knew she responded positively to blood since she was anemic...

"Dad will be home soon. Oh... Lewis will also be staying over tonight." Astrid said very, very casually. Casual enough to make the older women smile knowingly.

"Ah... That's fine, just make sure to keep it done huh?" Mrs. Tuhs replied with a giggle. Teasing her daughter slightly.

Lewis didn't feel awkward, but instead felt Astrid's family were just very open with their relationships. Probably the reason how Astrid ended up so mischievous when it came to things like this.

"I'll try." Astrid responded confidently, making both the older women look at Lewis.

*Cough* Lewis now did feel a little awkward. He felt betrayed by his dear kitten here!

Astrid then giggled seeing their reactions. "Alright, I'll go play with Anya. Did you finish the game I gave you?" Astrid said as she started to walk away with Anya in her arms. Talking to her very sweetly.

"She will become a good mother... Come, come and sit." Mrs Tuhs mumbled her first sentence before inviting Lewis down.

Lewis took a seat and was served some tea by Andrea. He took a sip and felt it tasted almost the same as what he has back at home...

"Lewis, may I ask a preposterous question?" Mrs. Tuhs suddenly asked, making Veronica look at her.

"Of course." Lewis didn't refuse, it was more like he wouldn't refuse anything from Astrid's relatives. They meant a lot to her, so they meant a lot to him as well.

"Well... I was just wondering if you were thinking of settling down with my daughter or not." Mrs Tuhs asked with a gentle smile.

Lewis blinked. "We have already discussed it... Mother, and for right this moment we are just going be taking it slow. The time will come for the future." Lewis responded with little hesitation. Making Mrs. Tuhs quite happy.

'He is very good, smart, kind to my daughter. And ah... He is just sweet. I can't really say no can I?' Mrs. Tuhs was no traditional woman. But she didn't want her daughter to be involved with the wrong partner in life.

And she always felt Lewis was right for Astrid, especially with the way he looked at her. So full of love...

"Well... That's good. Although I know you two might have your own plans, but from the viewpoint of me and my husband, we do want to see something a bit more, if you understand?" Mrs. Tuhs revealed, making Veronica and Lewis amazed with her words.

Lewis nodded almost immediately. "I know, I'm working on it." Lewis made Mrs. Tuhs a very happy mother.

What mother wouldn't like to see their daughter marry someone? And Mrs. Tuhs was excited to see her daughter down the aisle, especially when she had such a tough childhood.

Veronica just kept a smile on her face, clearly she wasn't as good as her sister at these types of things. She only knew that Lewis was a Guilliano, and that he was with Astrid. Otherwise, anything she heard was all from her sister.

'As long as she is happy.' Veronica thought, their family was cursed for years with misfortune and treachery. As long as Astrid was happy, it wouldn't matter.
