(Chapter 120) Tiredness

While Lewis was having a very important conversation about her future, Astrid was sitting beside Anya on the floor sorting out puzzles.

"Sis, isn't the answer 10,389?" Anya asked in a childish tone.

Hearing that answer, Astrid was left frozen, she looked down at her phone and at some of the figures. She was just reading a report, and it was left with some mathematics cut off from the answer...

Astrid smiled and rubbed her sister's head. "It is. But don't work too hard huh? Having fun is important too." Astrid was surprised. Wasn't Anya just only going to enter a kindergarten? She already knew such high numbers for her age...

She was proud to hear those words from Anya, but also worried. A genius can attract the wrong attention. Especially when Anya seemed to be so far ahead of everyone her age as well...

'Did she get father's genes in business? She is starting to look a little more like him as well...' Astrid looked very much like her mother. Apart from her eye shape. While Anya seemed to be growing a little similar to her father. Apart from the distinct genes from her mother...

"Okay!" Anay didn't really understand Astrid's words this day. But it would count a very important life goal for her in the future. As she learned more about herself and also her older sister...

Anya continued to play with puzzles and other games. Astrid had already found out about Anya's natural skill with numbers. But the growth she had was rapid.

But seeing Anya get stuck at a game on her phone. Astrid smiled. She had programmed a game on her phone to get Anya to play, it was an extremely harsh brain teaser. It basically was a way to discern IQ with much more precision than the tests they had you do.

Astrid was happy to see Anya get stuck for so long, in fact. Anya was on a test that the average 8 year old could do! At only 8, she was far above the normality of the world.

But then again, it might also be her fault. Anya was always smart, she learned to walk quite early. And her speech was incredibly good. But Astrid had started to teach her some basic stuff to ready her for school. And within a couple of weeks, Anya found such things boring and easy.

While Astrid was stuck in her thoughts, the door to the playroom opened. Seeing a sight to remember, Lewis smiled, and secretly took a photo.

Hearing the sound of a photo being taken, Astrid turned. Seeing Lewis with a phone in his hand.

"I came to see how things were going." Lewis explained, as the issue of the photo didn't even enter Astrid's head.

She didn't care, if Lewis wanted a photo of her she was more than happy to let him frame it! Even if she was naked or otherwise...

"Big brother! Sis is being mean! She gave me a hard game..." Anya pouted to Lewis. Hoping to get some help with the part she was stuck on.

Lewis chuckled, seeing Astrid's smile he knew the 'game' wasn't simple. "Really? If your sister gave you a game then you should take your time to finish it, it won't disappear." Lewis said as he also sat down on the floor.

Anya nodded seriously, as she closed the game. Just seeing her tilted eyebrows both Astrid and Lewis could see she was getting annoyed with the game. And Astrid could only giggle.

Anya pouted and sulked in response. "Ahhh... I just felt little Anya can be so cute when she angry... Remember, if you are upset you shouldn't keep it to yourself huh?" Astrid ruffled Anya's hair. Which by now was a blonde ponytail.

These words from Astrid would impact Anya significantly in her life. But maybe not the way Astrid thought they would...

Despite being good with children, she never raised one from young before. So Astrid was obviously inexperienced. While Lewis could deals with younger boys, he wasn't used to girls that looked like the woman he loved...

If it weren't specified, people could have mistaken Anya to be Astrid's daughter! Since Astrid looked so mature and they were sisters, they obviously looked similar enough to be mistaken as mother and daughter.

Lewis joined in on the fun, getting Anya hooked on a genuine child's game and also watching TV with them. Astrid felt her eyes close subconsciously while they watched TV...

.......

"Astrid... Astrid! You have another hit." The male voice that remains in her head to the day talked to Astrid.

Astrid opened her eyes quickly. A cold and dangerous look erupted from them. Before she felt some pain.

Her hand clutched her chest, in her past life she wasn't as endowed as she was now. So hand could feel her rapidly beating heart. That was in so much pain.

Astrid felt her legs weaken, and her eyesight become blurry, along with her head start to buzz.

"Astrid? Hmm... She couldn't take it. A shame..." The voice entered her ears seemed to be upset, but not at the fact his daughter was dying. But at the fact his experiment had failed...

.......

"Astrid... Astrid baby?" Lewis called her many times, but after a few. Astrid started to shake suddenly, he hugged her tightly and rubbed her back.

"L-Lewis?" Astrid asked a little out of it. She felt her hand on her chest wasn't feeling her heart. But rather the large body part in the way...

"You're awake? Good... It's time to eat, your father came home." Lewis spoke softly, it wasn't the first time he had seen Astrid in a daze after sleeping. And he could only feel a sharp sting in his heart every time he saw it.

Astrid hummed sleepily, she felt the warmth and comfort from Lewis's body and hand and remembered where she was. She wasn't dying, she was living a good life...

"Hmm, can you help me up?" Astrid's voice was groggy, shad just gotten up after all.

Lewis didn't respond, he just pulled up Astrid safely. Seeing her face not as twisted as it was before. He now was more relaxed.

"Dinner..." Astrid mumbled, as she rubbed her stomach. She was quite hungry...

Lewis smiled and nodded. As they both arrived at the table together, eyes were on them both.

'Hmm, Anya said Astrid fell asleep... They didn't seem to be doing anything? So Astrid just didn't get up.' Mrs. Tuhs was quite worried about that, she knew that any food would wake up her daughter. So she must be very tired.

Astrid saw Winoa sitting at the table and raised her eyebrow, she then looked at the time and was even more amazed.

'She finished already? I guess she can have the rest of the time off then...' Astrid felt that Winoa sometimes worked too hard. And deserved rest, but she just couldn't separate from Astrid's work.

So most of the time Winoa had a similar schelduel to her, which was basically constant work. Maybe she would need to sort out some more delegation...

But what Astrid didn't know, was that Winoa already had a large time underneath her working whatever Astrid needed. It was just that she enjoyed doing the work. But she never mistreated her body as badly as her own boss did...

"Let's eat then." Mr. Tuhs said as his daughter and... Soon to be son-in-law? Sat down.

Astrid was served the most food as per usual. nobody could tell where she put all the food. But her mother could only think of one reason to Astrid's appetite.

'She had such a sudden growth spurt... And look at her! To grow so quickly, I'm not surprised her she grew up so similar to me.' Mrs. Tuhs also felt very hungry when growing in particular areas. It just wasn't done as quickly aas what Astrid experienced. Nor was she as tall as her daughter...

But Astrid needed the food to make her brain function. She was trained previously to think of multiple outcomes of various things at all times. She was always hungry in her past life, but only ate was she required. Not treating herself like she does now.

With Astrid eating most of the food, Lewis was mainly serving her with her favorites. It was common knowledge that Astrid would refuse to eat fish, or even eat at all if fish was in the same room as her. And she loved sweets, and meat. Astrid eat her fill, and felt her stomach bulge a little.

Astrid then stood up from the table along with Lewis to go for a walk, as per usual. She ate a lot and talked a little. But she always would walk outside in the garden afterward, no matter the weather.

"If you are tired you should sleep." Lewis said as he walked hand-in-hand with Astrid.

Astrid shook her head. "I can't... I need to make sure the businesses over in England are doing good, then I have reports from Russia to look over. Then I need to respond to MI6." Astrid said with a stifled yawn. As they reached the bench specifically built for Astrid.

Lewis just shook her head. Sure Astrid could be seen as a giant in the world. But she had so much to do! As he once thought, when they have their own houses. He was going to lay some ground rules...

Astrid stretched her legs while on the bench and took in the nature of the garden, the plants and flowers grown by the gardener especially for her to look at. The slightly harsh early winter wind in her hair.

Lewis felt like he had a few ideas coming into his head while sitting out her. Especially those regarding the potential houses he and Astrid were building... 'Maybe I should get grandfather to teach her some relaxing activities to do.'

Astrid then naturally went into Lewis's warm embrace and he let her do what she wanted. As they cuddled on the bench, Winoa felt a smile appear on her face.

As Astrid's attendant, she would follow her no matter where she was. So she followed her and Lewis outside at a distance. Both of them probably knew of her existence, but clearly didn't care.

10 minutes passed, and then came 30 minutes. And then an hour. Astrid once again opened her eyes to feel the warmth encasing her.

"Shit." Astrid mumbled as she yawned and woke herself up.

"I didn't know you thought that badly of my face." Lewis joked, he knew why Astrid cursed, but he just had to tease her.

*Sigh* Astrid knew she was being teased and just got herself awake. "You know what I think of your face... And your body. But I do have work to do." Astrid said as Lewis smiled.

'Hmm? Tease me here? Are you sure you can keep that up?' Lewis knew that Astrid said that on purpose to get him rilled up... But he only helped Astrid to stand back up.

"Winoa! Make sure to delegate what I send you later. It will be better to let them assume control." Astrid told Winoa as she and Lewis started to walk back inside.

Winoa lightly bowed in understanding. As she would follow those orders fully... She was to delegate the work to the people in charge of the businesses abroad. Probably to fully train them for the future.
