(Orbit)

Up in the planet's orbit, a lone spaceship floats around the planet without doing much, the ship remains motionless and lifeless because Aiden was the only living thing aboard the ship presently. He was trying to get some real sleep and not faint out of exhaustion, the past events came by him like a flash and he wanted this chance to put things on hold, and rest for a while. Even that didn't last for long as he was in the captain quarters that had the biggest room, and biggest bed, he was tossing and turning with his face full of fear and anxiety.

Memories of him running through the station hallways and explosions are going on.

"Bring the injure to the infirmary!"

"Tell the fleet commander to fire back already!"

"My leg, my fucking leg!"

He saw himself in a panic running through people and the different sections until he arrives at the connection point, then you already know what happens there.

"S-stop!" He woke up grasping at the air frantically, the nightmare of the past events was haunting him.

"Ha... I don't think I can sleep right now." He puts both of his hands down on the bed blanket and looks between his two pale skinny hands.

The amount of sleep he manages to get was only about half a day's worth, but with what was flashing through his dreams, the scenery was something he doesn't want to see again.

"Shit." He whispers to himself while tossing the bedsheet over to his side and scoots off the bed.

He grabs his glasses that were sitting on top of a bed table counter and his lab coat that was just tossed on top of it. He adjusted his frames and walks out of the captain's quarters. He heads down the ship's passageway until he comes back to the ship helm. Laura was nowhere to be seen but he guesses that she was busy doing the routine scans of the planet, so she didn't keep her hologram body active.

"Laura, how are the repeated scans showing now?" He sat himself down on the captain's chair and looked straight out toward the blue planet that was right in front of him, it was almost like he could reach out and touch it.

A few seconds had gone by until Laura rematerialized her holographic body, and she stood beside him.

"The scans indicate no new lifeforms detected, but with the repeated scans."

A hologram screen pops out in front of his face, showing the planet and its continents. Multiple small dots displaying the potential lifeforms on the planet.

"I am confident that I successfully eliminated, all plant, and major heat generation from the display."

The screen would then show the same planet, but this time with a lot lesser amount of dots.

"Not to mention we were able to get a rough look on the surface terrain."

The screens zoom onto the planet's surface and were now showing the sharp and rigid grid design that is supposed to be mountains and then there are flatlands. Many red dots would gather in a general place, and some scattered all over the land.

"Hm... Laura, can you start recording the things I say when I give the mark?" He looks up at her with an eyebrow raised.

"You trying to make some research notes?"

"That's the plan, and... worst case scenario if I fail then I hope someone or something else could find these recordings, and somehow translate our language." He puts one of his elbows on the chair arm support and rests his head above the hand.

Another holographic screen appears but this time different symbols were on.

"Begin."

Laura nodded to Aiden's command, and the screen began a recording session, voice only. He took a moment of silence to think of what to say first. But he ends up with the usual starter line for voice recording data.

"Introduction recording... Hello, who or whatever is seeing this, my name is... uh... Aiden Klin senior researcher and archeologist enthusiast of the... uh." He pauses again and pushes up his glasses to rub his eyes.

"Of the Star federation, if you manage to secure this vessel and the data onboard, I would say it's safe to assume, I'm dead and it's also safe to say you may never hear of a star federation because I and this vessel does not belong in this reality... I come from an alternative reality."

"This vessel was an experimental ship design for interdimensional travel between realities using a ring to generate a wormhole that was pointed directly at a black hole, why you may ask? It's because in our realm a powerful enemy appears into our existence weapons far greater than our own, we lost countless ships and worlds to them."

He took another short break and let out a loud groan, as he rolled his head out of annoyance.

"Look, the short version of this is a powerful enemy kick our asses and this ship was made to discover new technology to help us defeat them, but the station housing this ship came under attack and I had to flee from the battle, I'm the only person manning this ship when it's supposed to have at least a hundred people."

"End recording."

He blew out a long-needed sigh and slide down the chair, his upper chest area was now below where his arms were rested at.

"That was a long introduction~ And do you really think that recording will ever be used?"

"That's why it's only used in the worst-case scenario possible." He holds up his thumb to his neck and slides it across from one side to the other.

"And besides I'm not done with my note-taking yet that was only for a fail-safe option, my study on this world, no this reality will now begin." A proud smirk grows on his mouth as he looks at Laura.

"I already put the first recorded session in the data storage, you may begin again."

"Excellent... Begin now."

He let a few second plays out so his voice wasn't cut off from the beginning of the recording system.

"This is, Dr. Aiden study note number one, I have recently been transported into a different reality and came upon the closet habitable planet, in the space where I came out of when I went through the Ark ring"

"The planet I'm currently orbiting has a blue sky with white clouds, and greenish continental lands meaning vegetation should be plentiful, which means this is a Type 2 class 1 planet, wanting to assume it has the right requirements for humans to live on, but I can't jump to any conclusions yet."

"Early bio-lifeform scans had come up with multiple small to extremely large gatherings dispersed over the entire planet, I have come up with two theories for this, first theory they could either naturally form herds of animals coming together or..."

The second theory of his was the one that made him feel weird about this planet, and it was that the planet could have intelligent life on living on the surface of the planet, which means it could be a life savior for him or unwanted trouble in the future.

"My second theory, that this planet has intelligent life with how the scans indicate the movement and the pattern of how life moves around on the surface."

"I'm still unsure on how to approach them if my second theory is correct... I need to study their language, their culture, art, food and so much more."

"My plan, for now, is to send out some reconnaissance soon to give me a more detail description of the planet's terrain and its inhabitants."

then I will move onto phase 2 of finding a suitable spot filled with natural resources and near one of the less larger groups and land my ship in that spot."

"Phase 3 is when I try to open up a hopeful friendly dialogue with the planet inhabitants and try to potentially gain their trust and support to help me with the surge."

"End data recording."

The 2nd holographic screen disappears from his sight allowing him to lean back into the chair and rest his mind and voice.

"This must be a lot of hard work for you huh?" Laura bends over to make her face close to his.

"Tell me about it." He dishearteningly groans sitting in the chair.

"What kind of reconnaissance drones do we have available at our disposal?"

Laura with a quick flick of a hand brought up a different panel but this time it holds a list of the information stored in the cargo hold that was preloaded onto the ship.

"We have the latest technology onboard this ship, the drones we have are capable of flight, and ground travel, their sensors, and equipment built into them can perform some advance research."

"Testing the soil quality, able to analyze the structure of the vegetation and the air, voice communication if need be, and if it somehow in a dangerous situation it has translucent nanites able to make the drone somewhat transparent to the human eye."

"Not to mention the small AI module inside the frontal area of the drone, capable of thinking on its own, but it's still far inferior compare to my capabilities."

Aiden was rubbing the bottom of his church as Laura had just dumped a ton of loaded information onto him. From what he saw from the list were several of them were packaged and stored into containers in the cargo hold.

"What about their names? what company made them?"

"They are called the Seekers develop by the honki technology research company."

"The honki company made these? No wonder why their aesthetic design seems so familiar."

"Please prepare two groups to be sent down to the planet, Knowing honki people they make things that can survive a planet entry, you said they also fly right?"

"Yes, they are able to switch over from aerial movement to land base wheel travel."

"Well tell me when you completed this task, I'll be heading to the mess hall." He pushes himself off the chair while Laura was watching him leave the ship helm.

"Will do, Sir."
