(Orbit.3)

It was only moments after when Aiden was looking through the ship's Windows and continue to stare at the planet right in front of him, Laura had a question in mind.

"Can I ask you a question about your plan?"

"Sure go ahead" He move his eyes at Laura body reflection on the glass panel.

"I understand scouting and gathering information on the planet but."

"But?"

"How are you going to exactly plan your method of communication, judging how the planet is giving off no reaction to our presence."

"That could mean that the civili-"

Aiden holds up one finger in the air, and slightly raises his voice.

"That's IF there a civilization down there Laura."

"Right... if there is a civilization down there they made 0 effort to contact us, meaning their science and technology could be far less advanced than ours."

That was something he already took into consideration, if his 2nd theory is correct and if they process a good amount of scientific knowledge of the world, and is able to produce some kind of transmission, or signal or energy waves into space.

Initiate reports on the planet show no signs of any technological or EM signals. (electromagnetic) which means his first theory could be right, but it also shows the fact that the inhabitants of the planet won't possess any kind of scientific understanding at all.

"Yeah I know about that, being here in orbit could already cause some negative social outburst."

"That's why we need to find a suitable place for me to land this ship, and keep it at a distance from the local population."

"Otherwise." He uses one of his hands and gently facepalms. "I could have the chance to mistakenly start a religious upheaval, and I rather not play God."

"I see, Sir."

An alert sound went off from one of the camera screens, one of the seeker drones had successfully made it to its zone of operation, though it was still several thousand meters above the ground.

[ Seeker 3 ] "Beginning descent now... 40 seconds" The AI reported.

The camera now shows that the drone was descending rapidly down to the planet's surface, Aiden could start to see the details of mountains in far-off regions, and soon wooden trees as their leaves slowly sway in the wind.

"Something familiar to me..." Aiden smiles from looking at the screen display.

[ Seeker 3] "Land base recon? or Aerial base recon?" The AI sent another text message back to the ship.

"Seeker 3 continue to do aerial sweeps of the land for 10 minutes then switch over, and stay above the forest treeline but don't go too high." Aiden glances at Laura to transmit the order to the scout drone.

[ Seekers 3 ] "Orders confirm, resuming to Aerial sweep for 10 minutes then mode switch."

The drone started to fly around the area above the treelines, and compartments were open up on top and on the bottom of the drone pulling out sensitive research equipment. It was recording data of what it sees on the ground level and was analyzing the air.

The incoming reports were real-time, with the video feedback had gotten smaller to allow different charts data collection results to come on.

[ Seeker 3 ] "Planet air contains, 70% nitrogen, 38% Oxygen, and 2% argon."

"Plantlife might be similar to known vegetation similar on earth, trees, apples."

"Life signs of small incest like creature, and small rodents."

Aiden carefully examines the data that was streaming back from seeker 3, and what could be seen from the drone point of view.

[ Seeker 3 ] "Error, anomaly detected, Error, anomaly detected, Error, Anomaly detected."

"unknown energize particles float in the air, percent amount unknown, request review of new information."

Aiden selected the new coming and brought it up on a new screen, it was showing energy particles moving in a weird and chaotic manner, but they were also able to clump up together and move around in a pattern.

(" Where have I seen this before? ") He ponders to himself about this new energy particle.

He then rubs his eyes a few times and wipes his glasses lens, but no matter what he did the data result was still the same. His eyes widen as both his mind and body enter a mental shock from the sudden realization.

"N- n-" He had a hard time putting words together. "no fucking w-way."

"Is something the matter, Sir?" She walks up to his side and leans over to get a clear view of the face he was making.

"Laura bring up the data we have on energy particles designated Alpha!" He quickly turns his head toward Laura and was shouting out of fear.

"Now!"

Laura startles by the random outburst she did what she was told and show a different data display of energy particles Alpha, side by side with each other.

When she had done this it took her a few seconds to understand why Aiden needed to see the two different energy patterns.

"no way... how is this possible?"

Energy particles Alpha, and the new one that they recently discovered on the planet were similar of how they move with only a few slight variations from time to time. Why does this scare Aiden so much that he basically lost his cool?

It was because Aiden had already seen and encounter energy particles Alpha. It was their main source of power, to be able to fly their ships and their weapons, the surge.

"Even with the slight changes, they are too similar." Aiden took a step back, then multiple steps until he trips backward and lands in the captain's chair.

"I agree there." Laura turns her head to the side showing the same expression Aiden was giving off.

"The surge?" He lifts up a hand and looks down at the palm of his hand questioning what should he do next.

(" The surge is here? in this reality? What should I do, what should I do! ") His mind went on a full panic mode.

(" They couldn't be here in this reality, maybe this is their home reality? No the chances of that happening is extremely slim a 1 in an uncountable number... but the data shows proof! ")

(" So what if the energy proof? Has any enemy ships appear on our sensors? No we're still alive. ")

(" But how can I explain why are so identical to each other! ")

(" Then how can I explain why haven't we been blown up yet? ")

He had so many thoughts going through his mind at the time, he was arguing with himself at this point.

"Sir? Aiden how are you feeling? Sir?" Laura had gotten even more worried over how Aiden was acting.

(" That's... I need a breather. ")

He took the silence of the void to his advantage and uses it to breathe in the air and exhale it out slowly, so he could calm down his mind and think straight.

(" Much better... ")

He pushes himself off the chair and walks up to the display screen, with a bit of a wobble in each leg forcing him to take a little longer to get there.

" So we just received that this planet and probably maybe even more planets in this reality contains Alpha energy particles." He tried to say this casually but he ended up making a weird face.

"That doesn't matter as long as it's not used in a weapon against us." He spun his body around and gave Laura a little thumbs up.

"That is true... if the Surge were here you wouldn't be alive in the first place."

"Right." Aiden snaps both of his hands at Laura.

"Even if the energy signature is identical, there are a few parts of it that aren't the same... meaning we could study up on this energy present in this reality and somehow make our own weapons out of it."

Different weapon schematics show up next to the energy data display, which theorizes to work with Alpha energy particles the main issue was that they couldn't get any so no real practical tests were started.

"Laura, can you please label these as Beta energy particles?"

Laura's eyes flicker and then she nodded, saying that she had done that without actually saying actual words to him.

This wasn't the end of it though, Seeker 3 while it was on its last minute of flying it flew over to one of the planet inhabitants settlement. Seeing artificial the drone alerted Aiden.

[ Seeker 3 ] "Settlement found, High artificial stone walls, wooden rooftops, lifeforms detected on said walls."

Aiden moves his eyes from the newfound energy particle back to the video feedback to his surprising him, and also proving his 2nd theory was correct all along.

(" Structural design of stone walls, bronze age? or the iron age perhaps?... and what about those lifeforms?" ")

"Seeker 3 focus and camera zoom up to one."

The drone swiftly adjusted the camera and zoom on one of the Life form positions on top of the walls, maybe there to be a guard of the settlement.

"Those can't be?...."

He wasn't sure if he should consider this lucky. or a tragedy of what he had just discovered in this reality. "humans?" The human male guard clad in light metal armor plating and was wearing a light cap helmet stood there and yawn.
