(Recon)

Seeing the first settlement of any kind should be a shocker, two different people from two unique worlds. Aiden's eyes were glue at the medieval settlement, unable to get words out of his mouth. Being in an alternative reality he knew that there was a chance he could stumble upon them, while he explores the galaxy once he had a base of operation setup, it was basically going to be a civilization built by 1 man, and 1 advance AI.

"Zoom out again." Aiden issue the request for the drone Camera to zoom out again.

Now he was able to see most of the city's northern Stone walls, in full display.

"First Beta particles... Now humans."

"I- I uh... I need a mental break."

He walks back to the chair and quietly sat down again, he had both of his hands place above his head and he was staring down at the metal floor., between his legs.

Seconds turn into minutes and those minutes almost became 10 whole minutes of silence, He pulls his hands away from his head and looked back up at Seeker 3 video feedback, by this time the drone decided to fly around on the outer area, to map out a full image.

"The drone is doing circles around the city?"

"That is correct sir, the AI on board decided to map out the entire city walls and from it can see so far."

"Tell it to activate its camo, and increase altitude and hover over the city."

Laura nodded and her eyes flicker once more.

[ Seeker 3 ] "Orders confirm, activating transparent camo, and increasing altitude, standby"

It took the drone a few seconds to fly up higher, and then another couple of seconds to hover above a certain area of the city. The ability for the drone to make itself transparent isn't foolproof though.

If someone were to focus their eyes on the drone when it activates its camo, they can see space would be slightly warped with a clear outline telling people that there is a drone there

(" At this height, no one should be able to see the drone, so no unwanted hostility will occur between those humans and the drone. ")

(" If these are the same kind of humans I know, then they probably wouldn't like anything new and confusing. ")

"Seeker 3, Aim your camera down at the city, and zoom in, and have a separate view of thermal." Aiden quickly ordered

[ Seeker 3 ] "Orders confirm rotating camera downward... switching over to Thermal vision, standby."

The view below the drone became a much closer picture, people of all ages are walking through the streets, and people minding their business in their mixed wooden and stone houses, merchants selling their goods, it was just an ordinary peaceful day to them.

(" Strange... from what I'm seeing they could be similar to my reality when our civilization was still in the medieval ages. ")

"But" He faintly spoke out and pushes himself off the chair and move closer to the screen again.

"Laura come here."

Laura tilted her head to the side and walk up beside him, her eyes switch off from one another.

"Yes?"

"Don't you think the people of this world are a little... too clean? and Old age?"

"Now that you mention it, those humans shouldn't be like that considering their level of technology."

He snaps both of his fingers again and bites the lower end of his lips.

"So what could explain that?"

Laura quickly notices that the humans kept doing strange behaviors, with how they move their arms and legs.

"Their behavior is... unique."

"It could be a cultural thing laura."

"Maybe... or-"

Her eyes flicker again, as she transmitted some orders to the drone.

"What did you do laura?"

"It's just a hunch but I want to see something."

Both regular and thermal vision had an overlay of detecting beta energy particles, Laura wanted to see if they had anything to do with their strange behavior. Soon the present result that they saw was mind-blowing for them.

"Did... did that guy just picked up two wooden carts full of barrels just like that?"

"There this women here in her house who seems like she's cooking... and a spontaneous combustion of heat appear beside her?" Laura pointed out through the thermal vision.

Everyone that was showing major signs of manipulating beta particles shows supernatural capabilities. Meaning that these humans aren't normal, at least to Laura and Aiden's perspective of things.

"W-what in the fantasy is this?" Aiden's mouth was twitching at the sight of this.

(" could this be magic? No magic isn't real and it only comes from stories and made-up folklore. ")

(' But I'm still in an alternative reality... so the laws of science could be different here... theoretically allowing magic to exist? Not to mention Alpha particles are similar to beta so does that mean Alpha particles are magic? ")

This was a subject matter that he needed some time to spend researching on, beta energy particles, the irregular humans in this reality, and quite possibly, even magic.

(" If I'm able to use beta particles myself will I be able to do the same? ") He looked down at his hands and he inspects each finger.

"Look over there, in that building located here in the city, the people gather there have insane beta particle readings."

What laura was pointing at on the thermal view was the city guildhall for adventurers, which I don't need to give out an explanation for right? If you don't know what is an adventurer is, go read some fantasy stories.

Laura and Aiden had no idea what was the main purpose of this structure with no cultural information gather. All they know is that it's a big building, and many beta particle users gather there.

"What do you think they do in that building?" Laura asks.

"My hunch.. not a theory but a hunch is that building symbolizes some sort of gathering place..."

"A hall? of some sort for people who can use beta particles from what we saw so far."

"For what though?"

"I don't know."

He puts his hand on his chin and began to ponder some thoughts, and the orders he should send out next.

" Seeker 3... lower altitude and just hover above the rooftops, and then enhance audio senses."

[ Seeker 3 ] "Orders confirm, lowering altitude and increasing audible senses, Standby."

Seeker 3 slowly began to fly down to the city and was about a meter above a building rooftop. Aiden wanted to try and conceal it the best he can if anyone were to look up at the rooftop and focus their eyes on the drone outline.

The drone started to pick up light chatter coming from the people down below. The language was something he had never heard before, even in the alien civilization that the star federation encounter, and had to painstakingly translate during the early space exploration.

"I wonder what could they be talking about?" Laura asks again.

"Beats me." Aiden shrugs in return.

"Laura transfer all-vocal data pick up by seeker 3, and put them into a catalog dub, new human language 1."

"Cataloguing." She waves with one and began to process the incoming data from the drone onboard mics.

"Seeker 3, Begin a randomize patrol of the city... and don't forget to record the layout of the city infrastructure."

[ Seekers 3 ] "Orders confirm, beginning randomize patrol, and scanning of city layout, standby."

Seeker 3 was now on the move again, multi-tasking two objectives, sweeping the city to understand its layout and the human's infrastructure better, and to pick up human dialogue and words that have yet to be heard so he could have it catalog right after.

(" This is going smoother than I originally expected. ")

Soon other alarms went off indicating that the other seeker's drone had finally arrived at their desire coordinates.

"You all have your orders, maintain a low profile do not let anything detect your presence, and gather as much information as you can."

[ Seekers ] "Orders confirm, standby."

Everything was going accordingly to his plan, nothing bad has happened so far which was a plus side for him. It would only take a few weeks until something problematic would happen but we're not there yet, just you wait and see.
