(Avadose)

Diana was inside a large wooden building that had 3 floors and was both long and wide in diameter, the structure was shaped almost like an L with a couple of compartments sticking out to the long side of the L shape building. Diana was standing in one of those compartment rooms that was set up for people who gain the knight captain status, it was made to be their personal office space. She was sitting on a wooden chair with her armor display on an armor stand in the corner of the room, and her sword leaning up against it, she didn't need to have them on as she was in the middle of sorting documents of finding knights that are eligible to join her knight order.

The ranking system of being a knight in the kingdom of Avadose goes from Squire, to be trained under a person who is recognized as a regular knight, then the next stage after that was Knight sergeant, who were allow to lead other knights during special missions and when a knight captain was somehow unavailable to do so. Knight sergeant's positions are merely set up to see who is worthy of being a knight captain.

Once they had reached the stage of knight captain, they can be granted permission to create their own knight order, a brotherhood, or a band of comrades. The people above the knight captains are the Knight generals, they see all activity of any knight orders, and either give them orders or transfer orders given by the Royal Knights, and they can be chosen candidates to become a royal knight if they want to transition even further up in the hierarchy.

"This one hasn't been on too many missions..."

"She looks like she's about to retire..."

Diana kept looking through the documents that were given to her, and so far everyone she has gone over had yet to piqued her interest.

"Why is this a lot harder than I expected?" She crumbles up a piece of paper in frustration and threw it up in the air, and it landed across the room.

"So they weren't kidding when these are the leftover's people for this year." She flops her head onto the top, shaking it a little and causing the paper to be disorganized.

For a squire to become a knight, they must be trained under a regular knight that has a few years of combat experience, and then it will take another couple of years for the squire to even be allowed to go through a trial, so they ascend to knighthood. Every good one that was taken this year had already joined a different knight order, and the leftovers are the ones that barely pass their trial or they are veteran knights on the verge of retirement.

The door to Diana's room was open, and in came Darion holding onto a different stack of papers in both of his hands, with his sword dangling on his waist, and a wide-open smile on his face.

"Huh?" She quickly lifts up her head.

"You seem to be having some trouble trying to find the right people." Darion sat the stack of paper down and lean his body forward.

"You think? I know the good ones are already taken, I was hoping to find some-"

"Diamonds in the rough?" Darion interrupted her before she could finish speaking.

"One, don't interrupt me when I'm speaking, and Yes." She gave Darion a small glare and then place her forehead back onto the table again.

Darion stared at the uninspired Diana who was laying her head on top of the table like she didn't even care that he was present in the room.

"Well, being one of your, great friends~" He picks the top paper from the stack he brought and examines the paper and what was written on it.

This gotten Diana's curiosity going a bit as she tilts her head upward at Darion.

"I thought I could lend you a little helping hand." Then he places the paper on top of her face, and chuckles.

"I thought I got all of the squire academy documents on who passed so far." She grabs a hold of the paper and flips it around to see for herself.

"Apparently, that's where you're wrong." He sways one finger from side to side in front of Diana and grabs another one from the stack.

"These file records maybe the ones you're looking for, and they weren't put with the rest, but their diamonds in the rough... but... burry below piles of dirt." He flips the paper he was holding and taps on the personality, and the scores result on the paper.

"Duva Elt, age 18, Common people, Personality results, too childish at times and his mind always wanders around, his lack of focus is limited... Though his scores in mana manipulation, swordsmanship, and horseback riding received one of the highest marks."

Diana holds out her hand for the piece of paper Darion was holding onto, which Darion gladly handed over to her to see for herself.

"He can't be that bad, can he?" She said

"There's more of those files in this stack."

Darion reaches for the stack of paper and picks up another, reading the results written below.

"Sara Notly, age 18, Noblewoman, Personality results, Her heart is in a good place and has a strong desire to help people, but when she is forced or is in a dire situation to make a rash decision she is incapable of deciding, and she can get lost easily without someone to help guide her... Again like the last guy her scores are high, mana manipulation, archery, horseback riding."

He places down the paper and looked back at Diana. "You think you want to recruit any of these people?"

Diana was silent for a few seconds then she claps her hands together, and plead. "Can I ask you to please join my knight order?" She even added in a small smile to go along with it.

Darion laughs it off and shook his head no.

"Sorry, but no, I already made my choice before graduation, and it was to join my father's order."

She snaps her fingers "Worth a try at least."

"I'm still willing to help you through." He lifts up a hand and forms a fist.

"Yeah I know, Thank you as always." She forms a fist of her own and bumps Darion.

She grabs one of the papers she was previously holding and decided to do a reread on it real quick.

"Reading them again won't make them look better." He teases

"I know that, I just wanted to re-read it." She rolls her eyes and resumes reading it over.

(" If these are all that I'm left with... I might as well see what they are capable of. ")

She puts down the piece of paper and lets out a quick sigh. She would start to look over all of the paper in the stack that Darion brought in, and was trying to pick the best people she could find.

To make a knight order, the requirements are the leader must be a knight captain, and there must be a total of 5 knights including the captain to be enlisted.

From roughly a stack of 20 paper files, she lays out 4 files in front of her, even ratio of male and female, two males and two females of different class in society.

"Did you find your lucky 4?" Darion question the result.

"Maybe... I just need to meet them first, and I'll see if I want them" Diana responded

She would organize all the loose papers and the ones that fell onto the floor, then she collected the 4 files into a small stack and hands it over to Darion.

"Can you get these files to the administration? I want them to send an invitation to these people to my family's ground."

"Why me? This is your knight order."

Diana had a not impress facial expression on her face.

"I've been stuck in this office for almost the entire morning, I want out, and you being such a great friend I thought you would enjoy helping me."

"Fine fine, I'll do it." He quickly took hold of the small stack and proceeds to the exit.

Before he steps out of the room completely he turns to look at Diana who was waiting patiently for him to leave already with a small smile.

"I'm going, I'm going." He grasps the door handle and closes the door behind him as he left.

"Thank you!" She shouted back at him as he just closes the door.
