(Lumis.3)

"How many reports came up about monsters attacking people?"

"8 new incidents have been reported within the week."

"I heard another group of adventurers just got a 2nd big score."

"That's good, that means more of our forces have less work to."

"We're currently running low on medical supplies here"

"What? Let me see that file"

The meeting hall was crowded with people from the regional nobility, Wealthy Merchants, and some military officers. Stack of paper was piled up next to each other, on the floor, the long table. Everyone inside the room was working hard on the monster business.

"Lord?' A young nobleman stands next to the lord of the castle.

"Yes? Speak" He was leaning over the table with both hands place on a paper map of the city.

"Is it true that a knight captain from the capital will be here soon?" Ask the man.

The Lord quietly stared at the man and nodded yes.

"That's wonderfu-"

"Before you get your hopes up, the mission that they received was to inspect the cause of the growing monster problem."

He turns his head away from the man and looked out through a large window panel.

"It depends entirely on the Knight Captain if they choose to stay and help us." He said with a sigh.

"That's... What is capital thinking? The Knight Captain should be helping us when we're in this dire situation" The nobleman angrily said.

"I'll make them help us if-"

A click went off from the door handle and it opens up to a young female, wearing knight armor and a magical sword strap onto her waist side.

Everyone in the room turns their attention to this female knight.

"We're busy here." A merchant said to Diana

"What post do you belong to?" one of the military officers started to approach her.

Diana was unfazed by the stares of everyone in the room, and enter the room. Closing the door behind her with another click from the handle.

"Who said you can be in here!" The officer stood in front and looked down at the intrusive women.

Diana gazes up at the officer and completely ignores the man breathing down at her. She leans to the side of the man and spots the lord, standing on the opposite side of the room.

"Hello..." She said happily.

"Don't Ignore me!' The officer tilts himself to the side blocking her view.

Diana was annoyed by the action of this man and just step side away from him and walked away.

"H-Hey!" The officer tries to grab her but failed in the end.

Diana walks up to the lord who was still focused on looking out through the window, it seems like he was in some deep thoughts.

"It's been a while" Diana lightly taps the man's shoulder.

The Lord turns his head around at Diana when she tapped him.

"Who are you?"

"Hah?" Diana couldn't believe what she just heard coming out of his mouth.

"Don't tell me you forgot who I am over the past five years."

immediately Diana straightens out her body, clamp her legs together, and stood at attention. She pulled out the Knight Captain Emblem, showing it to the lord.

"Knight-Captain, Diana Noriel, Reporting from the capital on the heighten monster activity in the surrounding region"

"So... you're the Knight-Captain?" The Lord turns his entire body to face her. "You seem pretty young to be one? Don't you think lass?"

(" Diana Noriel... Why does that name sound familiar? ") He wonders.

He leans himself into Diana and closely inspected her, something was familiar about this woman, until it finally clicks into his head.

"OH, It's you! The child who wanted to be my student!" He shouted in the room.

He raises up a hand and puts it on one of Diana's shoulders, padding it.

"Has it really been 5 years? You have grown since I last saw you!"

His eyes wander around her face and then her body.

"In more places than one." He chuckles.

Diana swiftly grabs ahold of the lord's hand that was still on her shoulder and started to crush the old man's hands.

"And you just have to ruin the good mood" She disappointingly said with a little embarrassed blush.

She lets go of the lord's hand, as he pulls it away and tends to his wounded area.

"In truth, You really have grown, you even became a knight Captain at such a young age" He proudly said to Diana.

"I'm just happy that I've been given the chance to repay an old debt." She said.

"That age-old issue? The lord laughs it's off "You worry about pointless things Diana, It's the present and the future that we the living must take care of."

"Uh, M'lord." The young nobleman spoke

"Hm?"

"Is she really a Knight-Captain?" The nobleman wasn't the only one in the room that couldn't believe Diana was the Knight Captain sent by the Capital knight.

The Lord recognized the stares that they were giving to Diana, and had to reassure them that Diana was their Knight Captain.

"Are you saying that my student isn't able to become a knight captain?"

"N-no, not at all m'lord... It's just that she's so... So-"

"Young?" Diana quickly cuts him off.

"...Yes" the man said.

The Lord holds up a hand and scans through the room, catching everyone's gazes on him.

"As the lord of Lumis, I can give everyone my word that, My student, Diana Noriel."

He grabs onto her shoulder and pulls her into his side.

"Is a worthy Knight Captain."

Everyone was silent from the little show the lord put up for them.

"Now."

"Back to work everyone!" The Lord Shouted.

"Yes, M'lord!" Everyone went back to jobs and work that still needed to be checked over and completed.

The Lord lets go of Diana's shoulder and went back to looking at the paper map. Diana accompany him and stood next to him.

"So, What name did you manage to come up with for your knight order?" The Lord asks.

"The Silver Wing Knight Order." replied Diana.

"Silver Wing Knight Order?" The Lord repeated to himself a few times. "Good..."

"And how many knights did you manage to bring with you?"

"4... and including myself" She sounded like she made a mistake of only able to bring in 4 people to help out with the situation.

"Don't feel at fault because of that, you still manage to bring 4 people and not 0."

"Any help is better than no help at all." The Lord Said.

"What's my mission?" Diana ask.

"What?"

"What kind of mission will you give me?"

The Lord shook his head no. "I'm sorry."

"But no, until I know you're all rested up for the day, That is when I'll give you a mission debriefing."

"I see, I'll do my best to get some rest then." Said Diana.

"Good, I don't a fighter who can't fight when they're tired and haven't eaten a nice meal for awhile."

"Do you still need me to be here?' Ask Diana.

The Lord thought what she could do for the current problem that was piled up in the room, but he shook his head no again and just pointed at the door.

"I'll see you at our debriefing." He said with a little smile

Diana went over to the door and was about to grab the door handle, before she pulls the door open she looks back at the lord. "It will be a pleasure to fight by your side again, Lord, Coleman."

Then she exits out of the room and left Coleman and his people to continue their work.
