Chapter 1

I had nearly fallen asleep in yet another boring lecture. My friends who both were seated a couple rows back were unable to come over and wake me. The teacher didn't seem the type to care though long as we were on time.

The door swings open as Ageha walks in, not minding that she has missed almost the entire lesson. The teacher sends Ageha a glare before the girl gives her a forced smile and an apology she doesn't really mean. She slumps into the seat in front of me. Her clothes are a little roughed up and I spot a few obvious hickeys peeking out of her neck. But Ageha cares as much about her appearance right now as she does about this class. She keeps chattering to me, occasionally swapping to note passing at the glares from our teacher. Class was pretty much over though, 'Lucky her showing up at the last minute.'

I didn't like being dragged out of the classroom only to be called 'pathetic' for not 'getting over [my]self'. "I don't really see what the big deal is, it's been WEEKS, (y/n)," Ageha retorts. I'm sick of hearing this from her. I speed up ahead of her, no longer paying attention to my surroundings. I can hear her shout at me, "Just hook up with some guy, and you'll forget about that d*ckhead in no time!"

I push myself out of her reach even more, blinded in my anger as I run into someone. I thud back and onto the floor, rubbing my head in frustration though it hurt the least right now. This was the worst, why couldn't she be understanding and just let me get over things at my own pace?! I look up irritatedly to see who on earth blocked my path. I feel my cheeks heat up when I see his face.

Cursing myself for making a fool of myself in front of probably the most gorgeous nonhuman being I had ever seen. His cold, red gaze nearly send shivers down my spine as I go to apologize. "Watch where you're going," he spits before walking past me.

By this time Ageha has caught up with me, sending me one of her wicked grins as she rests her arm over my shoulder. "What about him?" She teases.

"Don't even think about it, I'm not going to distract myself with a one time fling." I start to walk in the opposite direction from him and back towards where I was originally heading. Ageha, however, stayed.

"Hmmm. I haven't seen him before, and he's the type of guy whose face I wouldn't forget. Do you think he's a transfer student?"

I just keep walking, "I could care less." I stop though at the sound of a bunch of girls squealing over something. Something that happened to be him.

"I'm pretty sure, I would've remembered something like that too," she motions towards the girls. I stop in my tracks, raising my brow at her, practically asking 'Well, what do you want me to do?' She looks at her nails, pretending like she could care less. "If you don't do something I will."
