The school's walkways were flooded with crowds of students and clubs joining together to collect them. I head over to mine so we could rack up a few yummy members. I was in a different club from my friends, but I would rather they stay alive. Ageha was posing at the photography club, hoping to reel in something good. Tsurara's club was a bit more underground, so she walked with me on my way to the changing rooms. She was in a club that was centered around guns. It was an odd passion for such a passive girl.
Right as I'm approaching the locker room, a few boys from her club show up. It was easier to part this way anyway. With each of our groups calling us, it cut the awkward 'goodbye's and 'see you later's short. A few of my upperclassmen wave to me to come join them in our first meeting of the year. Putting on my (f/c) bikini, I listen in on the chit chat before our President calls out to us, running a hand through her lavender locks. "Okay, you know the drill. So go get us some new members!"
I throw my uniform shirt on top of my swimsuit, following the others as we head through the crowds. Eyes follow us, many of which aren't up to my tastes. I just had to draw a few prey in, that's all. I scan the people, and then I spot him. His dark, black locks and aura stick out from the rest easily. I'm just glad he isn't surrounded by fangirls or anything. I take a deep breath as I approach him. 'It'll go great (y/n). You're gifted at this stuff, you're a freaking mermaid. A freaking sexy, ocean mermaid.' "I will get a taste." I'm getting sick of that pretty face of his after all.
But here he was, in front of me. I just needed to start up some friendly chit chat, but it'd been a while since I'd attempted to flirt. Since my last ex to be precise."Hey, you a transfer?"
He raises his brow at me, "I'm a first year." 'What? He looks like a third year! How is he so freaking tall?'
"Is that so?" I have a hard time believing it. "Have you decided what club to join yet then?"
"Well no-"
"Great! Join the swim club! I've heard they've got lots of space. Why don't you join with me?" I send him my best smile, clinging onto his arm.
"No." His tone is direct and very blunt.
"What?" I stare up at him in disbelief, but I manage to notice a faint blush on his cheeks. My smile grows wider, I can convince him. "Come on, just a quick dip? If you find you really don't like it, then you can just go."
He turns his attention back to me, furrowing his brows as those lovely red orbs stare into mine. "Trust me girly, I've heard all about their little ritual. I suggest you stay away from that club before one of those fishf*ckers eats you up." He's so serious about it that I can't help but let out a chuckle.
"Really now?" I ask, "Guess you don't know as much about me as you know about our little club."
"I get it now. So you're a mermaid?" There seems to be a smirk tracing his lips, replacing his once irritated expression.
"Bingo!" I hug tighter on his arm, "But don't get me mixed up with your 'fishf*ckers'. I don't only f*ck fish." I try to keep my expression convincing, but I'm having too much fun with this. "You don't have to join the club, but you should take a swim with me sometime." I get up on my toes to whisper in his ear, "I promise I won't bite."
He lets out a chuckle, "You're the one who should be worried if I bite." He winks at me, pressing me up against the fence. His hands grip the fabric of my shirt which I'd purposefully left unbuttoned. "But if you keep tempting me, you're gonna get yourself into some trouble."
I raise my brow at him, "And what if I want to?"
"Then I'll have to show you a good time." Suddenly I hear someone calling my name. I turn to face the blonde running in my direction. Asahi stops in front of us. "Umm," he points to the dark haired male.
"Issa."
"Issa, yeah. Am I.. interrupting something? I can come back if.." I plead with Asahi to just go, but the hand on the fence loosens as Issa backs up.
"No. Go ahead. See ya later fish girl."
Soon as he's out of sight I nudged Asahi. "Ow! What was that for?!" He clutches onto his arm unhappily. I don't answer. Asahi looked like he was trying to tell me something, but I just leave for the pool.
Storming off, I dive into the cool water. It's nice to be back, but watching the others get all lovey dovey with the prey is irritating. "So annoying.." I sigh. It's not like they meant any of it anyway. I shred through the water, looking for someone who isn't busy. Anything to distract me from thinking about Luke.
The president is my savior as she waves me over to join in on the feast. The boy is really captivated by her but doesn't seem to mind the extra attention. I let my tail naturally slip out, the webs between my fingers forming as I grip tightly onto his arm. The prez has the other and takes the first move to bite him. He slips away, frightened now but too slow. I'm quick to catch up, digging my teeth into the flesh. It isn't as yummy as I hoped. His monster form must have been pretty weak. But we still suck him dry. Not to death though, that wouldn't be allowed.
The pool is in chaos as I swim towards the edge, noticing a familiar figure on the other side of the gate. Had he been watching this whole time? His red eyes light up as he lets off a subtle smile, "You're quite beautiful like that, fish girl."
