I make my way out of my last class as a hand taps on my shoulder. It's Asahi here to walk back to the dorms with me as usual. I feel a smile trace my lips, which had been frowning up until now due to another boring lecture. I glance around the hall, "Where's Ageha and Tsurara? Don't you guys have your last class together?"
He rolls his eyes, "They're fighting. Again." He shakes his head, running a hand through his curly, blonde locks. "I don't get the point. I mean, I can understand Ageha. She's just doing her succubus thing. But it's not like either of them are really interested in the guys they fight over either. What's the point?"
"Does it matter? No matter what Ageha always wins," I sigh. I had to feel a bit bad for Tsurara, but she was just quiet and hard to get to know. And honestly she was sometimes a bit strange.
"I hate it too. It's such a petty fight. And Ageha's so superficial, but.. I guess I'm a bit glad that she usually wins." He seems lost in thought for a moment. "But Tsurara.. I don't get what she's thinking." I faintly hear him mutter. He'd nearly come to a halt as he stared off into space. I look up at him to see what the matter was to find his cheeks faintly tinted with pink. Did he perhaps like the girl?
I can't ask though because a familiar voice interrupts us. Jerking my head in Issa's direction, his deep, red orbs capture mine. Asahi stops mumbling, returning to reality now. I can feel my dear friend tense up as he grasps my hand in his. A feeling as if fear was overriding his senses.
Motioning between Asahi and me, Issa asks, "Am I.. interrupting something?"
"No! No!" I exclaim, tugging my hand out of Asahi's grip. "He's just walking me back to the dorms!"
A smile spreads across the vampire's lips as he steps closer to us. He reaches out, placing a cool hand on the blonde's shoulder. "You can leave now. I'll take things from here."
Asahi raises his brow at the male, folding his arms across his chest. "But this is the girl's dorm."
"I know," Issa lets out a chuckle.
I push Asahi slightly out of the way as I take Issa's hand. "Excuse my virgin friend, he's a little.." I make motions with my hand that are meaningless, but Issa just lets out another laugh, raising his brow at me.
"Friend?" He smiles, letting out a sigh. "That's a relief.." I hear him mutter. I wave a quick goodbye to Asahi to let him know to just go as I head inside with Issa. "I thought he was your boyfriend for a minute." He then smirks at me suggestively, "Not that I mind. I'd just prefer to keep you to myself."
I hug onto his arm, pulling him along. "He's more like an overprotective big brother."
"Now there's a brother?" He jokes, his eyes widening. "He's not going to kill me if I touch you is he?"
"Let's hope not." And I'm serious, though I highly doubted it.
"Wait, I'll test it out." He taps the tip of my nose with his pointer finger and glances around, counting to three, "Seems not. Guess I'll have to take advantage of this sudden revelation."
"Well, he hasn't killed any of Ageha's boys so I think you'll be fine." I knew Asahi didn't care what I did. Long as I was happy, he was happy.
"The succubus?" He asks, seeming familiar with her name. She was quite well known around here. Just as he had become. I was glad she hadn't pursued him, but we were friends after all. She wanted me to get together with people more. I didn't get what her deal was with Tsurara though. Sometimes I wondered if she had a grudge with the girl. "Least she has an excuse," he adds. It was true Asahi probably had his own reasons with not minding Ageha's excessively active sex life that didn't apply to me.
And here we were. I grab the handle to my door, opening it up as he walks inside. I raise my brow at him, "Don't vampires have to be invited in?"
"Of course not. That myth is just BS." I nod, he didn't have to be so serious. I already knew that. I just thought it'd be a fun joke.
"I do, however, prefer my prey to invite me to have a taste," he whispers, eyes burning into mine as he closes the door behind us.
