[Earth]
Charlie was shocked, he didn't know what to think when he saw that, he could only assume that all the other doors would represent the same thing, that every single one of them was a different word or maybe a different planet.
While he was mulling over what everything ment a sweet voice suddenly made itself known behind him.
'Ah Mr. Charles, we have been expecting you'
Turning around to see where that sound came from, his pupils dilated at what he saw there. In the middle of the hallway, where there was nothing before, a woman of impossible beauty sat at a mahogany desk.
She had jade skin and snake like pupils that didn't retract from her looks, just added to it. Her long black hair went for longer than he could see under the desk, she had two buns on top of her head that looked like a pair of horns, a gold sewing needle was going through the right one while a red thread kept the other one straight.
What attracted his attention next was a pair of scissors that was resting on the side of the desk, while it wouldn't be weird to have something like this in a normal office, this one was taller than he was and had an ominous feeling about it.
'Please have a seat, my name is Lachesis, I am an HR Manager in charge of Earth, nice to meet you.'
He immediately approached the desk, there was a chair in front of it.
Lachesis stood up and extended her hand as if asking for a handshake, but his attention was immediately stolen by something else, her bountiful chest, that was covered by a greek style dress that was so thin that you could almost see through, had a slight jiggle because of the sudden movement.
Blushing furiously at the sight, he absentmindedly extended his gloved hand, realising his mistake he immediately pulled his glove off, extending his hand again.
'Ah..Nice to meet you, my name is Charles Angus, but everyone just calls me Charlie.'
When he saw her face, she had a charming smile on that seemed to say more than just simple politeness, his blush intensified, hopefully she didn't catch him checking her out.
She had a soft hand but it was very cold at the same time, maybe she was some kind of reptile of some sort.
They both sat down, her smile became a bit strained, oh god please don't tell me she can read minds, her smile become wider, that didn't bode well for him, the thought of that was terrifying.
'Hahaha Mr. Charles, you are a funny guy, you know that?'
He gulped audibly.
'And for your information... No, I can't read your thoughts, I am not like my big sister after all, that would be very rude of me, don't you think?'
He han no way of checking the truthfulness of that though.
'Ah yes, yes you are right. How did you know what I was thinking about then?'
'This isn't the first time I'm doing this, you see, I have been asked about it many, many times and so that I can avoid any misunderstanding, I am telling you now. Anyway, I don't think you are here to ask about me, I am sure you have many questions about this situation you just found yourself in so ask away, I shall only answer 3, afterwards I can tell you about your duties from now on.'
Why the limit?
'What can you answer me about then?'
She smiled again
'Should I count this as your first question than?'
Ah s***.
'No, no. Can you please tell what I would be doing from now on, I want to make the most of my questions?'
Her smile became even more pronounced at this point.
'Of course, I can do that, after all I do love talking with clever people.'
That sounds great, at least she is willing to cooperate.
'Most of the gods in existence function because of a belief system, as long as they have pious believers they can grow indefinitely, even if at some point it slows down so much that it's barely noticeable, it never stops.'
She paused for a moment to gauge his reaction, although what she was talking about was quite shocking to any normal person, to Charlie it sounded like the background story of an RPG game. His reaction was pretty mild to say the least, he had heard this kind of story so many times that he could probably guess what she would say next.
'Most of the goods, that is to say, some work on a hole different set of rules and wouldn't dissipate even if they have no believers, but their power will still diminish greatly.'
He really had a few guesses on what was to follow, and for some reason he was loosing control of his sight every time she was moving a little. It wasn't like he had never seen a woman's chest before, but this particular pair of boobs movement was hypnotising.
He was still afraid of her reaction if she were to catch him checking her out so he decided to start staring at a point above her head, he heard that that was a good technique if you didn't know what to look at.
'Now, The System Creator was worried about losing his power with the passage of time, and because he was only a minor god at the time, he could't take any drastic measures or risk fierce opposition from the rest of the Gods.'
Why would she wear a sewing needle in her hair, maybe its some kind of special item, I wonder if it would be rude if I use Appraisal on it.
'One of his powers, or should I say Skills is Future Vision, it was during one of its uses that he stumbled upon your particular world's future, and discovered video games. At first it was just a little bit interesting for him, after all, as a God there weren't many things he hadn't seen before, but then he noticed how someone took advantage and exploited the game sistem to become invincible.'
Is this some bad fanfiction? What is so hard about finding exploits in a game, I've been doing that for a living since I was 12.
'This gave him an idea, what if he was to do that with his believers, his powers would allow him to do it, so he created The System, and because of it he immediately discovered his first exploit. After the first level up, almost every user started believing in the system, and after a few more level ups it would turn everyone into the most pious believers in existence, after all, it's very hard to doubt what is right in front of you at all times.'
Charlie felt like he was listening to a history lesson, he wanted to ask what did all this had to do with him but he didn't want to interrupt her so he just shut up.
'It took him less than 1 year to become the supreme God of his world, it turned out everyone loved concrete evidence, the others didn't even have time to react, because while everyone believed in numbers, that didn't retract them from believing in the other gods.'
He was happy that he had the [Fast learning] skill right now because he will still remember all that for future reference even if he wasn't paying attention.
The golden needle in her hair had an interesting name.

Why did he feel like he was missing something.
'Because of the resounding success of his first try, he decided to try it on another world, or like he likes to say it, he was just opening a new server.'
Even when he found that funny, he could't enjoy at all,
the filing that he was forgetting something kept coming back to him.
'After a long time of testing and hundreds of worlds later, he decided to make the System autonomous, this time he was only partially successful, while all the functions were working as intended it was still missing something, It needs human input in order to differentiate between good and evil, not for a righteous reason, but for the allocation of missions and rewards, after all giving an serial killer the title of a Saint just because he happened to kill the next Demon King wouldn't be a good idea.'
That made sense in a way, he was happy to have asked her to explain first, she already answered a few of the questions he had, just when he was about to ask his first question the large scissors came in his view against. He immediately used Appraisal on them.

He instantly realised why he felt like he was missing something, as it turned out he knew those names.
They were the Moriai sisters.
