After their short side-track Laila continued. Alright. Where were we? Oh yes, the part where the rumour starts and things get spicy.", she said with a secretive yet mean look in her eyes. "You see, just like before, Jake seems to have some trouble with staying faithful and it seems that the shoe is on the other foot for dear miss Suzy. Maria told me that he has been spotted going in and out of hotels and restaurants with some young girl on multiple occasions. The girl in the pictures is believed to be the niece of some bigshot in the entertainment world, who is using her uncle's power to get with Jake."

Noah was visibly shocked to hear this but at the same time wasn't surprised to find out that Jake hadn't changed. There was a reason why he had disliked him from the very beginning and each time Jake proved that he had been right in doing so. "Maria is far from close to Jake or Suzy. So, if she knows about it and has seen pictures, it must mean that it is not a very well kept secret, is it?"

Laila shook her head. "No, it seems that almost everyone knows about these rumours except Suzy herself. I don't know if Jake knows about it but you know as well as I do that even if he knew, he wouldn't let it bother him. Arrogantly thinking that he would find a way to talk himself out of trouble anyways." Noah let out a sigh and said, "I feel kind of bad for Suzy. Even if she did something wrong when we were teens, that doesn't take away the fact that she is a victim here and that Jake is again the one getting away with it all."

His concern for Suzy showed Laila his kind and forgiving nature that she loved so much. Though she didn't know that he was able to show that side for those who had wronged them. But then again, she had never directly wronged him and he probably saw Suzy as their matchmaker. She let out a chuckle before she responded, "Don't worry. We don't plan on letting him get away with anything. Maria is asking around to find out when the next time they plan on meeting up is. We plan on filming it all, so that there is nothing to deny. Including an innocent confrontation, where we are going to make it all look like one big coincidence. By showing the video to Suzy, we will help her get rid of a cheating partner and him face the consequences of his actions."

After explaining the bigger part of her and Maria's plan she added with an evil smirk, "Perhaps I will spread the video even further to let other people see just what kind of person Jake really is.." But then she let out a sigh as she said, "But I think that will hurt Suzy more than it will hurt him. I wish we could make him pay in a bigger way." Noah being the person that he was, wanting to make every wish his wife has come true and having a personal grudge with Jake as well, knew just the way to make that happen. Without saying a word, Noah planned his small revenge and looked forward to when it would be revealed. To Laila he simply said, "Don't worry honey. Karma will always find a way to get even. Even the mighty Jake won't be able to escape from that."

Laila sighed once more as she said, "Let's hope so because until now he seems to have been immune to karma. You would almost start to think that he had done nothing wrong in his lifetime." Noah chuckled and said, "Maybe karma is just saving up to deal a proper punch. Just wait for it. Things have a way of working out and will happen when it needs to happen."

Laila smiled again and decided to let this topic rest as she there was more that she and Noah needed to talk about. So she responded with, "Yeah, you are right. Let's talk about something else." Noah nodded in agreement and asked, "Like what?" Pretending to not have the topic ready already, Laila looked up to the ceiling before she said, "Like..who did you meet today? Anyone I know? Did you hear from Olivia since I have been away?"

Though Noah hadn't expected these questions, he answered them like he had. "I met some boring people. No one you would be interested in I'm afraid. Some business folk, some colleagues who I suppose you have met before. But I don't think I would qualify that as you 'knowing' them. As for Olivia, I think I have a missed call from her and my assistant also said that there were some messages from her for me but I haven't gotten back to her yet. Do you have any idea what she could want with me?"

Laila's eyes grew wide for a fraction of a second as she realized that Olivia wasn't one to underestimate. She had moved the second she heard about her being out of town and tried to strike the iron while it was hot. Laila was happy that she had been able to address this topic now rather than before bed, as those hours might have given Olivia the opportunity she had been waiting for. In her mind she thanked Maria a second time before she responded to Noah's question.

"Well, I have been meaning to talk to you about that. Jake isn't the only one who has rumours surrounding him. Olivia has too. People are saying that she might be interested in you and until I can talk to her about it in person and see if there is any truth to those rumours, I would like to ask you to stay away from her. Don't answer her calls, don't see her in person, don't accept anything she gives you. If you have to answer, just say that you are really busy and won't have time for anything for the next couple of days. If she does come to you or gives you anything and you can't refuse, accept it but throw it away. By no means do I want you to eat any of the food or have any of the drinks given by someone who has ulterior motives."

Remembering Maria's warning and her words of wearing a mask, Laila quickly added, "But stay as kind as you can. After all, until I know the truth, she is my friend and I don't want there to be any bad blood between you guys in case it turns out to be a lie." After her warning had been given, Laila a Noah talked a bit more before she Laila told him that he should get back to work and that she would get back to Maria who had banished herself to her bedroom.
