A little dirty

Noah responded to Olivia telling them that Harold had become untouchable by the law by saying, "Well, we'll see about that. The law might not be able to touch him over there but I certainly can. Since I am not bound by such like jurisdiction and extradition treaties, I'll go over and drag him back here myself. By force if I have to. My arm reaches past any country borders and I am not afraid to get them a little dirty. Neither do my friends." To which he pointed at the shadow.

Although he could just say secret services, he didn't want to implicate them in any way. Although Olivia had seemingly told the truth today, this did not mean that he trusted her or that she could be trusted. If her own behind got in danger after Harold was caught, she might start singing a different tune and use whatever she could to safe herself. Including any information given by them. So, if it wasn't important for Olivia to know, they would rather not tell her. Fortunately for Noah, Olivia didn't ask any questions either. Perhaps because she was so flustered by the situation, perhaps because she was distraught with the questions he had asked her or maybe she simply didn't think anything of it, all he knew was that he needed to keep her content while they were still relying on her for information. So, as long as she didn't ask, he didn't need to find a reason to not tell. The same goes about how she hadn't asked any question about how they knew that Harold had called her.

After Olivia had written down the address and Noah handed it over to the shadow to start planning ahead, Noah turned back to Olivia and said, "Thank you for the address. Do you know if Harold is actually there at the moment? Is that why he called you for the third time?" Olivia had a hesitant look on her face before she said, "Well I am not too sure. Although he called me to let me know that he had packed up his stuff and was heading over there, asking me to get the people we know over there get the house ready for his arrival, I don't know how fast he will get there nor do I know if he will change his mind along the way. Currently he is very distrusting towards me and Jake because he doesn't know how you managed to figure out he was in town this week. So, he might go there and he might not. He might stay there but he might leave after a day. I simply don't know. Only that he was on his way over to that house about an hour ago. It is a four hour drive from here."

With that, Noah had all the information he needed and his visit to Olivia had been a very useful one. To make sure she wouldn't tell Harold that they had come here and that they would be heading over to that safe house as well, Noah contacted Anthony the moment they left Olivia's house and asked him to redirect Olivia's phone to a different number when she called Harold's known number and the number belonging to the burner phone as well. When Anthony asked what number he was supposed to redirect the calls to, Noah thought for a moment before he smirked and said, "To me." He was confident that hearing his voice, when she was about to rat him out, would make her freak out enough to second guess herself and think again before trying a second time.

"That is genius Mr. Stephens. But what if she uses the landline to call the number? What will we do then? We don't have control over that nor do we have a tap to know what she is saying to him." Noah said, "We don't have a tap no but we do have microphones installed all over her house and cameras as well. So, we would at least be able to hear what she says to him. But you are right in saying that the landline is a problem. I hadn't thought of that." This is where the shadow tapped in and said, "The secret services can get a tap on any landline you want. We already have the taps, all we need is to activate the access. I am sure we can get that taken care of with one call to my boss. So, if your friend keeps an eye on her cell phone traffic for now, we can get the tap on the landline started. Including the interception or termination of a call if need be."

Both Noah and Anthony were impressed with the abilities of the ally they had made. After a brief moment of being perplexed, Noah asked Anthony, who was still on the phone with him, "Did you hear that?" After Anthony confirmed, Noah said, "Good. So, you focus on that cell phone and we'll take care of the landline. Monitor her movements in the house as well while you are at it." After Anthony confirmed and said his goodbye, Noah asked the shadow to contact his boss to take care of that tap on the landline. While she got to work on that, he called Max to help him with something else in between his hunt of Andrew and James.
