The emperor.

(Third person POV)

On the surface, it might demonstrate that the empress bothered by Tina's bold attitude towards the sixth prince and princess, but deep inside everyone knew, it's just an act.

An act to save her fake picture. After all, Adele is the empress, she has to keep her kind, humble and righteous empress image. She can't show hostility towards them openly, Even though those two are illegitimate childrens and their mother was nothing but a lowly maid. 

Furthermore, Adele is someone who would never get her hands dirty, even if she seeked to release rage. Instead she would choose a pawn to do so. And her perfect pawn is Tina. 

The thing is that, if they were not present there, then she wouldn't even have asked for an explanation from Tina. She would have let Tina do whatever she wanted to do with those two children. 

Moreover, it wasn't like no one knew that Tina treated them unfairly. Everyone was aware of this fact that she used to physically abuse them. Still, one preferred to keep their mouth shut. Why?

Well it's because of the emperor. There is nothing hidden from his eyes. Even a leaf doesn't move without his permission. Thus, how is it possible that he doesn't have knowledge about the sixth prince and princess' conditions. Also if he keeps overseeing this matter then, it is totally useless to blow up this matter in front of him. 

Hence when Adele advised Isabella to speak regarding this to the emperor. How could Isabella didn't grasp the meaning behind her words? She would only follow as Adele says unless she wanted to cause trouble to herself.   

"What are you saying, First sister? Going to the emperor and complaining to him that under your care these two childrens are being assaulted, is meaning going against you. How could I dare?  We are always good sisters, I don't want to destroy our sisterhood for that woman's childrens. All we know is that the emperor loved that woman the most. If I utter even a single word, I'm sure the emperor would take strong action. I would never hope for that." 

When Isabella said 'that woman', Adele immediately understood who she was trying to indicate. She was referring to Dayana. 

Adele eyebrows twisted as Dayana's smiling image appeared in her mind. Her scenic smile faded and the pleasing aura changed. 

Watching the color of Adele's, Isabella's smile deepened. She sweetly continued. 

"As I said before, please don't take my words wrong. You understand me best. You know that Neither I have any intention to go to the emperor nor I want their custody. All I'm worried about you, First sister. After all, you are the empress. You have to keep your face clean. However, if your servants behave like this, then I'm afraid that one day will come and you will lose your head because of it. Please be careful, first sister." 

No matter how soft voice Isabella used, her statements were provoking enough to drive anyone to lose his temper. As Isabella's words dashed in Adele's ear, she enraged.

However, Adele didn't lose her cool. 

"THIRD SISTER! You may not have any information about this, but everyone in this palace has a hint on how I discipline my subjects when they make mistakes. Tina will obtain a reward according to her deeds. However, I still have to say, please don't be concerned about me in the future. I'm not sure whether because of my subjects I will be beheaded or not. But your worry will definitely have me beheaded. So please don't."

Adele answered with an ear pleasing voice as Isabella used.  Her tone was neither loud nor impolite. No one could conjecture that she was annoyed. 

Since Adele still has Something to say so she doesn't stop and proceed to speak again. 

"And yeah! Please, rest assured, I'll never take the wrong meaning of your words. Moreover, I hope our sisterhood will flourish in the future and we will share a strong relationship. Also, I know this fact is not unseen from you that one has to chew iron gram to have... Actually no, to dream to have my head. After all, You understand me best.". 

"Of course. First sister!" 

Isabella replied while having a satisfying smile on her face. She didn't go any further with arguments and simply agreed. 

On the other hand, Adele wasn't in the mood to stop here. She was about to accost further. However Darla spoke up. 

"Ade... it's almost His mystery arrival time. Don't." 

Suspiciously Adele became quiet because of Darla's few words. She nodded and Isabella smiled while looking at them.

(Charlotte POV)

We were standing at the side of the dining table while the emperor's family was comfortably sitting on the chairs. 

Well, I also did not dare to think that they would offer us a seat next to them. 

I turned my head and looked at Ethan. After the conflict with Tina he had become very quiet. His eyes swelled while his face became red. 

All of sudden I heard Isabella's notable remark. Her words were totally flustering. Was she backing us? Why? 

Afterwards they moved further with their dispute. I finally came to understand that they were only mocking each other. Nothing more. 

I noticed the atmosphere between them formed such that they were aiming the sword even though they were talking with each other elegantly. 

Not only they have a well-favored appearance but they were also good at putting on a show. No doubt, They were outstanding actresses. 

I thought their argument would go further but Darla interrupted and they stopped. 

Now there was deadly silence with bone-chilling pressure. I hoped we would get out of there as soon as possible. I didn't want to stay there any longer. 

After some time, luckily a guard announced the emperor's arrival. 

Some moments later, the emperor came. He had a great entry even though he only got in here for dinner.
