Chapter 7: Hope meets Warriors of Hope

~Third POV~

A few weeks have gone and past for the remaining days in the Danganronpa world as the disaster of the Hope's Peak dark secret was left in the public domain to be discovered a lot of changes have occurred.

With the recent discovery of the project being open the mass majority of the staff of Hope's Peak have been toughly interrogated from them from the government as to make a show to the mass that they are taking this matter seriously.

As such actions the whole school have been decided to be closed down for the remaining semester till the whole incident clears up and find the ones put behind bars.

The Steering Committee where soon found dead in the basement of the secret society of Reverse Course Students as they turned themselves in for killing them.

They didn't have any regrets for killing them as they ruined their hope of ever attending Hope's Peak to begin with while concerning themselves with monetary value on their project.

Munakata ever the optimist took this chance to take charge of the investigation with the government to help investigate more about the project and the reason behind it.

Although it was also so that he can get more chances to become in charge of the school with his change of how Hope's Peak should be running.

The students from the school were all forced to leave the academy since it was in use for investigation but at the same time a majority of the students also resigned from the school to be dropped out.

After all a school that involved with inhumane experimentation and deaths of other students isn't something they want to be on their record for their life as they want to be successful in the future or maybe to get away with all the dark drama happening at the school.

As for the despair sisters they have been busy looking for Jason Borne but to no success which only fills Junko with more interest as she was filled with despair not finding the person in question.

Jason used this time for the few weeks to hijack Ryota Mitarai the as he managed to copy all of his work.

Ryota is an incredibly skilled animator and is able to move people to tears through his anime. He reveals to Junko that the secret behind his technique is sensory tricks he uses to directly manipulate a person's brain—which he compared loosely to brainwashing.

Some techniques he uses are subtle changes in coloration to stimulate the visual cortex, induction of eye movement to manipulate memory of the experience, and sound to control the viewer's focus.

That was what Jason took time to fully copy but that wasn't the real reason why he took weeks to just finish Ryota work no he took extra time to create the Hope Video.

The Hope Video consists of a series of bright symmetrical patterns, similar to what one would see in a kaleidoscope.

When someone watches the video, their eyes shine a similarly bright color before becoming faded and lifeless, forcefully erasing all traces of despair from their minds.

Kyosuke Munakata likened the process to stripping away the target's humanity by forcing them to feel only positive emotions.

Viewers of the Hope Video are susceptible to orders from the person who showed them the video, as when Ryota showed the video to Aoi Asahina and the Future Foundation's rescue squad, with the latter transmitting the video to the rest of the Future Foundation's security forces in turn.

The Hope Video's primary flaw is that its effects will wear off over time unless the viewer is exposed to the video for approximately thirty minutes.

However, Jason already made the perfected version of the Hope Video by removing the thirty minutes to 30 seconds but that was as much as he can use it for and revealing it again will return the person back to normal or by command.

When he finished perfecting the Hope Video Jason took a ticket to another area that he had intended to visit for a while now as he took the time to do it.

Arriving on the airport of Jason next location he breaths in the literal fresh air as he began to smile at the scene, "Breath… ahh… now that is literally breath taking. Like seriously Towa City has a literal air creation for fresh air that is just wild."

Towa City is the primary setting of Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls it is a huge artificial island in the middle of the ocean built and controlled by Towa Group.

Towa City was built and controlled by Towa Group; a leading technology enterprise owned by the Towa Conglomerate.

The city began as a huge floating island formed on reclaimed land; initial construction started with Towa Group's headquarters and was quickly followed by row after row of research buildings, factories, commercial buildings, residential areas, and more.

Towa City's isolated nature proved effective for Towa Group, allowing them to build up their own private infrastructure while simultaneously developing highly advanced technology to aid the world.

As such in the game, the Towa Conglomerate was able to play the 'savior' role by taking advantage of several opportunities produced by The Tragedy, one namely being their development of an air purification system to combat the worldwide spread of horrible air pollution.

While the Towa Conglomerate were huge contributors to rebuilding the world after the Tragedy, they stand a shadow of their former self as a result of the destruction and chaos caused by the Warriors of Hope.

In the wake of this seemingly instantaneous takeover, within a day the city was decimated to a collection of battered buildings with public transportation and communication with the outside world halted to a standstill.

The population of Towa City was greatly reduced as well after the attack of the Monokuma robots and Monokuma Kids, leaving many areas either uninhabited or riddled with corpses.

Those adults still alive fended for themselves or formed small pockets throughout the city, with a large group called the Resistance taking refuge in the sewers.

Taking a step around the place Jason takes in the view of how advanced it was compared to Japan as it was vastly different.

Glancing of his observations he began to wander around the area impressed with the development of everything as he comments on it to himself, "Interesting… this is certainly an improvement from my old world. Although I haven't been to Japan myself personally so I can't exactly judge fairly on this. No matter it's time to find that secret base where they produce the Monokuma's from the game."

With that he walked around the area trying to find where the location was as finding it in a game and in real life is a different story to him, but Jason needed to use the factory that was producing Monokuma's for his own purpose.

Jason walks around noticing the people as he comments on his new look and sudden change of his appearance, "Still can't believe how advanced everything is here but I could do with my old look. This new one from the project made me have black hair and red eyes… what the hell am I? Sasuke fuck that guy."

While cursing at a certain emo anime character Jason observed the area around Towa City as he can see people doing their ordinary lives without a care in the world.

Jason couldn't understand that while everything is going around with the loss of the academy he simply shrugged his shoulders at this as he thought, 'Huh? I guess in the end of the day Hope and Despair really don't matter that much in the grand scheme of things. I mean humans are adaptable creatures I'm sure as long as it doesn't mess with someone life they wouldn't care much.'

Shaking his head of those thoughts Jason is still trying to reconnect his old emotions again as the Project left him somewhat apathic towards his actions that was one of the main reasons to create the Neo World Program but it does have its other purposes as well.

Time past on during the day to midday with the sunset up and open as Jason tried using his talents to find the secret base as he used his advanced laptop to find the place much to his frustration.

Sighing out a breath of frustration as he began to sit down in one of the stairs leading towards the Towa Library as he began to analyze his situation, "Damn it. This is going to take a while to find the damn place. What a drag…"

As he was getting up he decided to walk around the area till he found an alley way as his talent kicked in with amusement in his voice as he smirks at this, "Maybe this won't be as hard as I originally have thought?"

Walking around into the alley way he stopped with a far enough distance as he sat down and waited for the group to come as he calls them out, "You know you five can come out now. I won't go anywhere you know I want to know about you fellows?"

Coming out of seemingly nowhere came five kids each holding a bloody weapon except for the supposed cripple girl with her wheelchair as Jason sat across from them.

Yes, these group of kids are the boss from another game The Warriors of Hope.

The Warriors of Hope are a group of RPG-fanatic children who murder adults in the name of Monokuma and their Savior, Junko Enoshima. They would soon control the Monokuma robots and the Monokuma Kids in the future.

The Warriors' ranks are apparently divided into five classes based on generic RPG character classes – 'Hero', 'Fighter', 'Priest', 'Sage' and 'Mage' - with each class being led by one of the organization's five leaders. The five classes of the organization can be distinguished by their respective emblems, which can be seen on the outfits of each of the five leaders.

Each of five of the warriors of hope suffer from family abuse of the worst kind being dealt to them.

Masaru Daimon is beaten and verbally abused by his drunk alcoholic father and is too afraid to fight back since his afraid to be separated from his father.

Nagisa Shingetsu was abused to be a literal experiment of his parents expecting to improve by his parents that were teachers of Hopes Peak Academy giving him the harshest lessons till he was at the breaking point.

Kotoko Utsugi was sold as prostitution to her managers when her parents want her to be everlasting 'sparkling' youth while Kotoko didn't want to as the trigger words for her trauma was 'gentle' as the managers say that to her as they rape her.

Jataro Kemuri a child abandoned by his mother as she hates him for ruining her future always wishing for him to the die the next day only to be disappointed and even considered her son ugly when actually he was handsome but because that what his mother thought of him, he wore a mask because he thought he was just as bad as his mother made him to be.

Monaca Towa was a bastard child abandon by her mother and was sent to her father where she was raised with ignorance of her existence and no love in her family believing to pretend to be actually abused so that she can feel kindness.

When they came, they were a bit scared as they watched Jason from a distance as he smiles at them despite the weapons blood they hold, "Why good morning good boys and girls what exactly are you doing this late? Don't you have homework or something to be doing?"

Nagisa acted for the group as he points his bloodied weapon at Jason direction as he ask him in a serious tone, "No you have nowhere left to go demon. We are the warriors of hope and we have come to vanquish you to get some Exp."

Jason raised his eyebrow at that as he glances Monaca with a curious gaze but that went noticed by the other warriors as they quickly rush at him.

Responding to their action Jason sighs as he casually blocks each attempted strike with a simple backhand while slow to him was too fast for the kids to see him casually defeats them effortlessly.

*Thud*

*Thud*

*Thud*

*Thud*

With each strike that hit the warriors of hope to the wall gently Jason embarrassed scratches the back of his head as he apologizes to them, "Yeah sorry about that I really don't know my own strength there. Sorry about that."

As Jason apologizes to the kids Monaca just stands there as he gets closer to her spot as he tries to be friendly with her, "So… nice to meet you the name is Jason Borne and sorry about pretty much destroying your party."

Monaca just smiles at this uncaring at the scene since she knew the person in front of her won't harm her or her friends with the results shown, "Oh mister that was mean hitting children you know not very nice!"

Jason just shrugs his shoulders as he was justifying his actions of self-defense with a calm tone to her, "True but I plead self-defense after all kids equipping with weapons attacking me taking it like a game. I would say they are very under level against me but also the plain fact that you tried to kill me so there is that."

Monaca just laughs at this as she began to answer Jason question with mild surprise on his own expression of the info, "Hahahaha… now that is true Big Sis Junko is looking all over for you mister . In fact, pretty much a lot of people want to know where you are mister."

Jason laughs innocently at this while the other Warriors of Hope were shocked at the info while Monaca is intrigued for the lack of concern, "Wow mister you sure are carefree to act this way? One would think you would be worried about your predicament. Why Big Sis Junko would come over right away if I let her know right?"

*Beep*

Stopping his laugh Jason responds in an honest tone as he reveals his Hope Video to, the group while its ineffective to the video to Jason, "Yeah, I would be very worried as well, but I can feel confident with the skills I have. As well as some counter measures against you and other people in the future right Monaca-chan?"

As soon as they all saw the video in his hands, they all very carefully saw it was their undoing as the five kids were now victims of the Hope Video as Jason says to Monaca, "Well then Monaca Towa how about you lead me to where your secret factory of the Monokuma's?"

Leaving no choice the Warriors of Hope where all brainwashed as they all lead Jason to where the secret factory as he thought to himself, 'Ok now that I have their co-operation I should use the Neo World Program to help with their trauma and possibly help them out… and maybe change the company in the progress. Yeah, let's go with that idea.'
