Chapter 32: I’m 20 Steps Ahead

~Third POV~

Somewhere else in a private room showing a man with a metal mask-wearing military gear along with his men on one side of a table with his group of armed men while the other AFO was waiting patiently for the person in question with a small device on his side.

AFO then began to ask the mercenary in a calm tone as he began to transfer credit payment to the other person using the device, "Ok then mister Wolfram the amount I gave to your private account was half the price of 500,000 dollars in US currency you will receive the other half once you have done your job."

Wolfram the man wearing the metal mask takes out a cigarette as he looks over AFO with a grin as he nods his head, "Sure. The item you want is that Quirk Amplifier from David Shields in I-Island is that right? That place is built to compete with the likes of the Tartarus prison system. How do you expect the likes of us to enter much less deal with that place exactly?"

"That will be my crew job to handle the situation…"

Coming out from the shadow was a man of reasonable height with fair skin and thin, rectangular gray eyes and white pupils. He also had white hair that reaches just past his shoulders, worn swept back away from his face.

His most defining feature was the large black mask that covers him from his chest to just above his nose, four extra pieces winding around the exposed skin of his face and his head. Four darker plates cover each side of his neck, lined with dark purple, and he had what appears to be something similar to the flat muzzle of a gas mask over his mouth that's decorated with seven gray studs, as well as a large purple and black cylinder protruding from each of his shoulder blades.

Below this, he wore a full-body suit of a similar design, with plates of black covering his entire body, leaving only his fingers exposed, and, over this, a blazer and dress pants of a pale lilac color. He also wore black boots.

That person was Nine fully completed along with his crew to his side as he speaks to Wolfram crew in his cold tone, "You have no need to worry about identities in that place… AFO has already made short work getting us access to I-Island. We will handle the muscle of the island you just get the Quirk Amplifier…"

AFO nods at this as he grins underneath his life support mask, "Also to ensure that you get the job done Wolfram… I will be giving you a taste of another gift. If you managed to get the item do expect another gift from me."

Placing his hand on Wolfram he could only grin as he felt he obtain another power enter his body…

*Beep*

While the villains were busy with each other few of the security cameras were active as AFO couldn't have noticed them as the cameras were sending a feed to the other side…

Seeing everything from his laptop in his room packing his things to leave for the flight Jason has been viewing everything from his backdoor that Alter Ego left since the first time coming to the MHA world.

Placing his chin on his face Jason smiles seeing how predicable OFA is as he views everything from his laptop, "Interesting… I knew leaving a backdoor into their security cameras would prove handy one of these days. Good thing Alter Ego made sure to create a backdoor in advance. Thanks, Alter Ego."

Appearing from one of the windows in the screen Alter Ego finally appeared in its human appearance surprising Jason a bit, "Hello again sir. You like the look of mine I took a bit of human knowledge of this world and went with this style from your brain stimuli. Do you like my new appearance?"

The new appearance that Alter Ego took on was the appearance of Chiaki Nanami from the Danganronpa 2 game but a more realistic appearance. This took Jason by with slight surprise on his end viewing it… her in the new form.

Smirking a bit from the corner of his mouth he commented on Alter Ego's new look, "That is an interesting look Alter Ego. Didn't know you have it in you to change appearance but then again I did design you with the choice program."

Alter Ego on her part smiled at that as she began to speak out from the corner of her window in his laptop, "And I for one say thanks for the choice program you gave me the ability to choose. I did choose this design to help you feel more comfortable. After all, we are in this together traveler. Plus, it will help you calm your fears of being alone."

Gulping at that Jason could only nod at that being alone in the new vast world is what he fears but has some comfort knowing that he's not alone in his travels.

After calming himself down Jason began to speak to Alter Ego as he asked in a curious tone towards her, "Alright so Alter Ego have you gathered all the new information from the doctor's research notes?"

Alter Ego nodded her head as she began to show documents of notes shown as well as details about the plans labeled under 'NOMU-PROJECT' as she spoke, "Affirmative sir. I have obtained all of their research notes about creating modified Nomu and High-End Nomu according to Dr. Kyudai's notes. Even the modifying of their 'NINE-PROJECT' is also in our database with all the key details of creating one. Sir was there a reason not stopping their research?"

When Jason heard Alter Ego question him he gave out his reason with a conflicted expression shown on his face, "To be honest Alter Ego it was more so that I can revise the project of theirs to help me out in the future. With slight changes to their original plan when I encounter a tragedy or dystopian world."

As soon as he replied his answer Jason then responded with another reasoning to Alter Ego justifying his actions, "Can never know if their work can be used to help the world instead. But also, for the sake of plot of this world, I do need to know how things would end in my favor to plan ahead of serious situations."

Alter Ego nods her head as she began to speak more about the situation on their hands, "Yes apparently they are discussing how they were going to steal the Quirk Amplifier device."

Jason hearing this used his on himself as he saw himself with Fuyumi and friends than him fighting Nine's as he replies to Alter Ego, "Hmm… looks like we have some time before we face them. I guess Fuyumi inviting me to go was all part of the works of fate huh. Alter Ego can you bring up their bios from just the footage we're seeing?"

*Beep*

That was when more screens detailing the other members of the villain groups were shown as Alter Ego began to speak, "Right here sir. All the information provided about the villains in question including Nine's current state of progress. However, the quirks listed weren't on Nine considering the changes, but the rest, however, I managed to obtain through their quirk birth."

Glancing at each name and each history of the members that Jason saw he only finished reading them for a few seconds to get an idea of who they were as well as be prepared for each of them.

Hoyo Makihara, also known as Mummy a villain working with Nine with the quirk Hoyo's Quirk allows him to manipulate his bandages and ensnare anything that gets caught in them. The bandages can be broken with enough force.

If he captures inanimate objects, he can control them and use them as weaponry. He can't control living things, but he can manipulate any objects they may possess, as well as control people's clothing.

Chojuro Kon, also known by his villain name Chimera is a villain working under Nine with the quirk , Chojuro's Quirk grants him the characteristics of various animals. He can also enlarge his animal traits to monstrous proportions, granting him a tremendous boost in strength and durability as well as launch a fire breath.

Kiruka Hasaki, also known as Slice, is a villain working with Nine with her quirk Kiruka's Quirk allows her to move, harden, and sharpen her hair. She can use her hair as blades, as well as fire off individual strands of it like needles.

Kiruka can also use her hair for defensive purposes, as well as for mobility by using large locks of it as stilts. Her hair still retains its chemical properties when it's modified and can be destroyed if it comes into contact with any harmful materials, such as acid and hair regrowth.

Nine also known as the leader of his group has the quirk of which allowed him to control the weather; allowing him to instantly cause powerful thunderstorms and tornadoes. However, according to Nine, his Quirk was too powerful for him to wield and it destroyed his body's cellular tissue.

Also has the powered copy down version of number of quirks that are stolen are unknown…

Nobu is one of Wolfram's minions with his quirk as this Quirk grants him the ability to enlarge his hands into large, webbed claws. Anything he strikes with his enlarged hands will be displaced.

Daigo is one of Wolfram's minions with his quirk as this Quirk gives him the ability to transform into a large, gorilla-like beast. This grants him increased strength as well as gives him great durability along with the enhanced speed in his form.

Swordkil is one of Wolfram's minions with his quirk as this Quirk grants him the ability to cover his forearms in collapsible, cone-shaped blades. When activated, Swordkil's power can cover his arms instantly, allowing him to arm himself at a moment's notice.

Wolfram leader of their mercenary group as well as the brains in their group with the quirk his Quirk allows him to freely reshape and manipulate metallic material upon making physical contact with its surface. It can be used for offensive and defensive purposes, such as creating flexible pillars to crush his targets, and tall, sturdy walls to defend himself and trap his opponents in.

Glancing at them Jason also read through their bios and past jobs as he spoke out loud what they have done, "Past achievements completed kidnapping of children, drug extortion to other states, repeated colleterial damage claims, murder, etc. These guys are pretty good at what they do but most of these areas are filled with metal-based buildings where their leader always has the advantage."

Then glancing over to Nine's achievements his along with his crew Jason began to read them out loud in a curious tone, "Past achievements destroyed the tyranny of a small poverty country along with their army, forced labor of the quirkless and weak people, and complete subjugation of a town? Hmm… I guess they have been busy with other smaller countries fighting against oppression it seems, but they are in my way."

Glaring his eyes at the information provided as he closed his eyes while speaking what was on his mind, "These people are in my way. Even if I were to let them pass by, they are going to probably hurt my friends and innocent people on the island. It's better if I can just get rid of them all at once."

Taking a look at the outside Jason looks at the bright sun as an idea popped on his head, he asked Alter Ego with a real troll smile, "Say Alter Ego? Can you search on google what is the distance of the geographic coordinates from earth to the Sun?"

*Beep*

Finishing up searching the answer and calculating her own answer Alter Ego finally spoke to him, "Calculating is complete Jason. I have the full coordinates and do the math needed to help to transport to the sun."

Grinning at this Jason just nods happily as he can finally send his enemies to the sun while he takes care of the main villains and not the cannon fodder.

Jason taking a glance at the villain of this world could only laugh at the scene ahead of him with mild amusement, "Hahaha… AFO is still the big bad villain in this world but he's going to need to be 20 steps ahead of me to win."
