Chapter 7: Atlas Robbery

~Zack POV~

Bloody hell this place is fucking cold.

Asking the favors with Hei made the whole process a lot easier for me to handle as it was only a few that I wanted.

The first favor was the protection of Vanilla Trivia which was easy for him to do once I explained the situation about her being the parents of the Vanilla family's secret daughter which honestly surprised him.

He agreed to at least also explain the abuse which was why I wanted to make sure she was protected as well to further explain that Trivia could be helpful in getting the info within the databanks of their spy network.

After all, they also have the info about all-female political workers in high standing that in itself is useful blackmail material. Hei agreed that getting the remaining info was necessary or destroying it still helps him in the end.

The other favor was protection for the both of us to which he nodded but in return, we work under him. Not too surprising when he learned how… 'useful' I was and that might need a right-hand man for his son Junior Xiong to help him.

While the offer was not what I wanted I wasn't going to deny free access to illegal items and black-market items while having a crime lord protection. Kind of the same situation Roman had with the Spiders but unlike him, I managed to help the Xiong Family take care of a rival gang.

Hei waited for the two brats of the Spiders to come in a few weeks so I had my time to train as I also provided him the time to properly take the Vanilla stockpile of clear-cut Fire Dust in Neo's room when she comes.

Those were the two favors the next one was a free entrance pass into Atlas which surprised Hei since it was a stretch to enter the 'noble' place of the Kingdom. I reassured him that I only needed to go inside was all because what I'm about to do is crazy insanity in that place.

As well as a prototype invisible cloth was the last favor from Hei. I know these were mentioned in their wiki from the fandom and were caught by criminals and luckily Hei managed to get one for me to use.

These invisible cloaks work like a charm and are surprisingly easy to deal with infiltrating inside the supposed 'great' Atlas Academy for all their technological marvel… to which I copied down blueprint plans of them inside my Scroll and Laptop. Could never know when this info of an advanced future tech could be reproduced, I just need to adjust the power source, and bingo instant technology at the ready.

Entering inside the Atlas Academy using the invisible cloak was truly the simplest thing ever done. Volume 8 can attest to that when the RWBY crew did the exact same thing and that worked.

Talk about disappointing but then again, they never really had anyone actively try to enter this place.

Passing through the many soldiers, and computer whiz in the area I managed to enter inside the base using my [Machina] to bypass all of their security with some effort on my part. But there was a reason why I came here though.

That is to get Penny the loveable android into my side.

As much as I would like to admit trusting a criminal group could only last for so long before they can either get me to work under them or two get rid of me since I know too much about their inner workings.

Why let a guy know that he knows everything about them live?

The simple answer is to frankly silence them. Which was why I never let them know the info about the location of the Fire Dust location inside the Vanilla Mansion.

Entering around the base and easily moving around them and messing with their security systems making me practically invisible I began to move towards the secret lab they have been working on Penny through my Scroll.

A map of sorts helps me follow where the treasure is in your games.

Seeing the door and making sure no one was watching I began to activate my [Machina] to enter inside without activating the alarms…

~Third POV~

Opening the metallic door as Zack glances at his surroundings with an intrigued expression on his face as he looked around himself, "Interesting… so this is what a secret lab looks like for secret projects. Hmm… maybe I should get a private island location myself? I do happen to know one in the story."

The surroundings seem to be a mechanical lab of sorts as he begins to go around the place putting on a mask to disguise himself as he looked around the place he was in, "Ok so this is pretty much an advanced world with the technology here. Bet there is plenty of good stuff around here."

As he was observing around the area Zack began to become more invested with the things around him as he began to look around the room, he was in to know more as he spoke in a curious tone, "Let's see here… with everything having hard light projections and screens involving some places it would be hard… oh… Now, this is where I need to make some changes right here."

Turning around Zack found himself to be around some kind of eerie green pod containing an android being or might as well have been completed repairs to be made some kind of finished model of sorts observing the pod in question having a distinct name on the screen called the P.E.N.N.Y. Project.

Seeing this Zack immediately knew what world he stumbled into now that he saw the exact features of the pod itself.

However, it might seem bad also adding the fact that Zack is infiltrating the Atlas Kingdom one of the most advanced kingdoms in this world also provided such a good opportunity for himself as he views the terminal next to Penny as he spoke to himself, "Readying the aura procedure as well access the use of emotional and memory module shown here. Project P.E.N.N.Y. is ready to work install the following keywords to activate the command?"

Zack seeing this on the screen soon thinks to himself with a curious but also excited expression on his face underneath the mask, 'While I would cut my losses and leave. I have no way of losing such a prized and valuable ally to have with me. In the future, I would no doubt be collecting allies like her whenever I go but I need numbers since I'm only one man….'

In his mind, Zack began to touch the terminal as he began to make quick work of what he needed to do activating [Machina], "Well then as my first ally I would need to make sure you are helpful and available. Now then I hope this works plus it's a shame what they did to you in Vol.8 why couldn't they take Jaune instead. Sigh…"

*Bzzt*

The terminal data within the system while the process has begun to change Penny's main functions with them being different from the directives while Zack says the following allowing Penny to have her soul as he read the contents of how the process was done.

"For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance and unbound by death. I release your soul and by my shoulder protect thee."

*Zzt*

Like that the machine roared to life as the data and blueprints began to activate Zack began to get the wall as he activated his semblance, "Better to make this door secure and take control of the truants. At this point, it's a race against time and I have to wait till Penny is ready. It's like playing that old Monkey Balloon Tower game I think?"

For that, his Scroll activated on the screen to see if the worse would happen or not as he only needs to buy time is all.
