Chapter 8: Claiming First Ally

[Shutting down systems…]

[Replacing individual modules…]

[Updating combat visual system…]

[Installing Mods: Extended Weaponry…]

[Installing Mods: True Ally…?]

[Installing Mods: Aura Energy Source detected…]

[Restarting Memory Banks…]

*Beep*

Now activated from the startup a figure could be seen having her eyes active looking at Zack as he begins to activate Penny and using his aura as she took it in to activate.

Penny has rather curly orange hair that came down to her chin with a small cowlick on top, and she wore a pink bow on the back of her head. She also had bright green eyes, light skin, and freckles. She wore an off-white old-fashioned styled off-the-shoulder blouse with frill detailed trim and frill flared cuffs that half-covered her hands alongside copper button detailing on the lower parts of her sleeves.

She also sported a short gray pinafore dress with golden trim on the hem alongside four light green stalagmite styled stripes on the lower half of the dress, two on the front and two on the back, accompanied by two matching-colored circles above the tips that had a stripe that ran around her waistline, with golden outlines, and a detachable black and light green collar.

She also wore a pair of black thigh-high leg pieces that seemingly were attached to black shoes. The leg pieces had a single green stripe up the sides that appeared to light up.

She had a layer of synthetic skin that concealed her metallic structure and spherical joints, and her irises bore similarities to the shutter of a camera. She also already wearing a silver backpack that contained Floating Array, her weapon being installed into her… along with other functions added to her…

However, Penny's eyes faded as she was busy checking herself through her own A.I. programming as she began to see what was done.

When the process was done Penny began to appear inside the terminal as she began to speak to Zack in a friendly tone alerting him as she was unaware of who he is, "[Salutations, how may I help you?]"

Listening to this Zack smiled under his mask as he revealed it to her as he spoke fondly of her in a kind tone, "Hello Penny. I believe we are acquainted with each other."

That was when he frowns hearing Penny's response to Shin as she spoke through the terminal in a confused voice as it was spoken, "[I'm sorry but my database doesn't have your face in it.]"

There was a slight pause on Zack's end as he acted confused but then soon came up with another idea to fool her into being on his side with a little luck to help, "That's… that is very bad. Do you remember any data prior to this hopefully?"

Hearing such a question honestly confused Penny A.I. as she responded confused by the question as she spoke, "[I…. do not was I supposed to know you?]"

Zack frowned at this as he began to talk to her in a sad tone making sure to have Penny fall for him as he continued with a false explanation to Penny's innocent mind, "A malevolent man named Ironwood captured you along with a mad scientist named Pietro have brainwash you and turn you into a weapon of mass destruction for his organization uses to only protect Atlas and attack those who aren't from this Kingdom of cowards and assholes."

That was when Zack smiled brightly at Penny but also had a tint of sadness inside his voice as he began to continue to explain to Penny, "Luckily, I'm here just in time to save you from them. But unluckily, they managed to delete parts of your memories of our times together before I could take my time to help you."

The more that Penny listens she doubts herself and the systems of her A.I. as she began to speak to Zack with a confused tone, "[In that case… you are my friend then…?]"

Jackpot.

This was one of Zack's lucky moments to shine as he convinces Penny to be joining his side for good and won't let the plot kill her if he can do anything about it, "Yes, yes I am. My name is Zack Ray. I'm a multiverse traveler and met you that you came along traveling the vast universes have to offer but then you got caught by such an oppressive government, but I won't leave you behind, Penny. We're friends to the end."

Listening to his words Penny couldn't help but feel conflicted by such news as she began to believe it more and more she asked Zack believing his words more, "[We are… but then why have we come here for then friend Zack?]"

Coming up with a counter to this question Zack began to explain to Penny some future knowledge about what they need to do next as he spoke to her, "We came here in this world to have fun and learn the most as we can so that we can survive. But we got caught and attacked us when they saw what you can do. So, in order to get the aura and learn we were attacked instead. So, I thought of a way to make them pay."

Penny felt anger for what this Ironwood and Pietro have done to her as she listens in to her friend Zack's words as he began to explain his plan to her as he spoke in a cold tone, "Doing my research I heard that the powers of the Maiden can be transferred, and Atlas is holding up the Winter Maiden. You need to kill her to get her power of the last thing she remembered as payback for those heartless men that manipulated and violated my friend's memory changing them as well."

Listening to this even more Penny felt more anger in her emotions as she began to calm down as she truly appreciated Zack's words of a true friend as she spoke, "[Oh dear, it seems that my memories loss is really severe… to think I miss out of those memories…]"

Zack nodded his head at this as he began to explain to Penny talking like they were old friends to each other while using his semblance [Machina] on the terminal, "No need. You will find out in time this will bring you up to speed on a few things again but not all. Don't worry will make new memories to replace the old ones, Penny."

The more Penny listen to Zack's story the more she come to believe that the story that he created was true as she replied in a thankful tone, "[Okay… I believe you, Zack. Friend.]"

With that Zack began to reprogram Penny as a True Ally as it had been installed into Penny's drive except for the fact that Penny will agree and listen to his command. As well was be loyal to fanatic him just to be extra insurance if there were a time when Penny would betray him as unlikely as that would happen it could, so he made sure to keep his tracks.

*Tap*

Like that Zack activated his Semblance on her as it began its work seeing the screen…

"[Downloading…1% Complete]"

*Clank**Clank**Clank*

Suddenly being alarmed at the unknown presence of the door being slammed Zack quickly curses himself for setting off an alarm, "Shit! I didn't think they have a backup alarm. I got too cocky."

He heard more sounds of banging could be heard through the door as he grits his teeth hearing the voices, "Intruder! We have an intruder within the Atlas Academy! Hurry!"

Zack took notice of this as he realized where he was now as he glares at the wall as he thinks to himself in a serious tone, 'Atlas Academy? So basically, the heart of their operations in Atlas huh? Well shit.'

"[Downloading….11% Complete]"

Quickly putting on his mask and quickly taking out a small device he made sure to prepare himself with his defenses and created some of his own tech thanks to the Black market to create gadgets to help out.

Using his semblance he place a small device as it activated a small forcefield generated from it using [Machina] to help build the parts for it and began to corrupt the security files about what's going on to the Atlas elites giving them no info to work on.

*CLANK**CLANK**CLANK*

The sounds on the metal doors began to get louder as he hears more Zack narrows his eyes as began smirking to himself happily, "Well then guess it's time to pull out little game guns and turrets yes?"

Taking out his Scroll he began to activate the Atlas defenses as he played around shooting the soldiers as he began to control the laser turrets and shoot them down.

*CLANK**CLANK**CLANK*

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BOOM*

*Splat*

Viewing from the cameras at the other end he is glad to see the results as he managed to put down some of the soldiers that were getting in and some with serious or critical conditions he sighs at this talking to himself, "Sigh… they really want to make this hard for me, don't they? However, this should buy some more time before I play my Trump card. Coming in prepared is my go-to strategy."

Zack didn't take his eyes off the Scroll as he made sure to keep his attack on as he hear the next response to Penny downloading…

"[Downloading….40% Complete]"

Zack could only swear in his head of how much attention his exposing himself at this moment but thought it was worth it in the end and only need to hold out is all…
