Chapter 9: Penny Get!

~Zack POV~

Readying myself I basically just killed some of Atlas students right about now considering the fact I will be arrested on the spot with no way to act if they rush me. Those turrets really hurt like a bitch.

But I really need to get Penny on my side regardless of their future or not. Also, let's not forget the fact I'm up against an army right now.

The best option is to hit the iron right now while it's still hot. And their data have been useful, but I haven't used my Semblance [Machina] to get the data as I can rely on Penny to get it for me as I need to use it sparingly.

I have an android with a soul now but I can upgrade it to become more powerful once Penny gets the Winter Maiden after that… escape from Atlas and find a way to go after from here. Maybe get aura in the process.

"[Downloading….50% Complete]"

Well, now that's a whole fifty left to go if I can hold up for this long.

While I have no professional combat experience personally, I can hold up a pathetic fight if I don't hold back but sooner or later those Atlesian fucks are going to come but with Penny here my odds will be ever-increasing.

Remembering from the show the Winter Maiden is definitely inside Atlas Academy in a highly secure medical bay-

*CLANK**CLANK**CLANK*

Shit looks like those guys don't want to quit wanting me to stop whatever I'm doing here but I just need to stall for a little more time. The forcefield holding the metal doors as much as possible I began to hold them-

*BOOM*

Till an explosion basically destroyed the metal door just great… this multiverse across worlds is going off to a great start…

Getting better by the second…

Out of the smoke of the explosion that occurred, I finally saw a tall young muscular woman with medium brown hair in a short ponytail, brown-tan skin, and brown eyes. She wears an Atlesian Specialist uniform that consists of an open white, one-sleeved crop jacket with dark blue accents, shoulder flaps and collar, and a dark gray armor shirt. She has silver vambraces over her forearms. On her back, she has a magnet used to carry her weapon.

She has a red belt around her white pants and goes barefoot save for some martial arts footwraps alongside dark blue calf plates that cover the tops of her feet, the plates have three red straps tied around them; the soles of her feet are appropriately dirty as a result. She also has a silver hoop earring on her right ear.

If I recall correctly this person should be Elm Ederne the one with her weapon Timber.

Timber is a massive hammer/rocket launcher hybrid, whose strength is enough to kill most Grimm in one hit. Timber's recoil is powerful enough to the point where Elm needs to use her Semblance to not be blown away by the force exerted by it.

But as the saying goes bitches love cannons.

"[Downloading….78% Complete]"

Keeping my attention to the hallway in front of me of the entranceway I began to see Elm having a very pissed-off expression on her face as she has her rocket launcher Timber at me speaking to me threateningly, "You damn criminal! How dare you kill off the Soldiers of Atlas like this and steal from us the lives of these people! You won't be getting away with this stealing property of Atlas!"

*Bam*

*Thud*

"What the hell!"

Did you think I would let your speedster friend come after me hahaha fuck no?

While Elm was talking, I figured their speedster would try something and while the metal doors were the forcefield didn't. Anyone won't be coming in the room with Penny inside so long as that forcefield is protecting us. But I know she's listening to me as I knew her little buddies are coming around.

And I was right to see another one of her teammates come to attack only to fail getting repelled off by the forcefield. Shame I have to showcase my powers but it's better than not getting an android Bay Max.

Plus, I prefer Penny as she's my favorite. Fuck that Jaune Arc guy for killing her like that to make him have growth development fuck that guy.

Harriet is a dark-skinned young woman with platinum blonde and brown hair shaved on the sides and dark pink eyes. While actively using her Semblance, her eyes glow gold.

She wears a very short-sleeved Atlesian Specialist uniform that consists of a sleeveless white double-breasted vest with silver buttons and dark blue accents. It has a white and dark blue-collar, a dark blue short-sleeved t-shirt, a red tie, and white shorts. She wears dark blue chaps that presumably connect to the tops of her shorts.

The chaps expose the inner part of the thighs and the backs of her calves. She also wears blue fingerless gloves and dark gray trainers with black accents and a white stripe accompanied with red socks. She also has white calf pads and dark blue knee pads as well. There are also dark blue straps fastened around the top of her vest. The blond portions of her hair are styled in a way that resembles a rabbit's ears.

Harriet's weapons of choice are Fast Knuckles, an exoskeleton suit whose main function seems to be its ability to greatly enhance the wearer's upper body strength.

*Blink*

Actually, I happen to be in need of some form of upgrades and they both worked electronically so…

*Swoosh*

While I took Harriet's guard down I used my [Machina] and managed to get her Fast Knuckles as it began to hit herself on the face at superfast speeds.

*BAM**BAM**BAM*

*BAM**BAM**BAM*

As I took control of her own weapon I expressed a mocking tone to her as I activated them without much effort much to her shock getting beat up, "Huh? Why are you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself?"

"FUCK YOU ASSHOLE!"

The glare she sent in my direction was certainly priceless seeing that I basically took her weapon as disrespect as she openly hates my guts, "Fuck! Give those back! Give my weapons back! They don't belong to criminals like you!"

True.

"[Downloading…100% Complete.]"

*Poof*

*Thud*

Coming out for the first time the two soldiers looked at Penny with shock apparent in their eyes as her emerald-like eyes open brightly as she replied to them, "Salutations, friend! I have finally gotten up from my slumber and now…"

Narrowing her eyes at the two future Ace Operatives as she releases her weapon out of the Floating Array as she spoke coldly surprising Elm and Harriet, "I'm combat ready!"

When her swords swirl around her again, she commands them to open their points and build up a large glowing ball of green light. With a punching action, several bright lasers crack the metal when they fire at the two agents as Harriet used her semblance super-speed to get Elm out of there.

*PEW*

*BOOM*

I was perfectly fine where I was positioned as I began to see the destruction of Penny's laser of her weapon she seems surprised herself as I spoke to her, "Come on Penny we have to go fast. Can you search for the heavily armed medical bay and fast!"

Not missing a beat I saw her eyes scan brightly as she finally gave me a short nod as I followed her along when she gave out directions, "No worries I managed to locate the position of where this Winter Maiden is. However, there seems to be a lot of soldiers coming our way? Do you have a plan?"

Thinking for a bit quickly I replied to Penny to give those Atlesian the slip using their security systems to our advantage, "In that case make sure to trick the cameras to change the location of us to them. Open the metal doors trapping them in place. At least it will give Ironwood a decent distraction while we make our getaway. Oh, while you're at it take any developmental plans."

Nodding her head at this she began to get to work. Now I just have to do the same as well if I want to get out of this place in one piece.

Taking a look around I saw that Harriet's weapon Fast Knuckles are gone as I took it and equip on my body. This is a plus with Fast Knuckles will come in handy in increasing my upper strength. Better to disable those tracking chips on it.

Rushing our way to some nearby stuff I managed to luckily get me and Penny some very useful tools that the great people of Atlas were developing in their school. Funny that actual experimentation in the Post Apocalypse really.

We already escaped outside the Atlas Academy as we began to search for the building that have an M3 signal written on them.

Good thing we were at Atlas Academy the central point of the city as Penny managed to immediately locate the only place I said that was a heavily guarded medical bay in this Post-Apocalyptic world.

The Atlas Medical Facility is a part of the Atlas Command Center located in "The Donut" facilities under the City of Atlas, specifically in the "Maiden Medical Tower 3", which is dubbed as M3.

It is where Fria was kept in isolation during her final days. It was later destroyed when Atlas crashes into Mantle and both cities are flooded.

As we move around the area of the Kingdom of Atlas the alerts were happening quickly soon enough as they only have a brief picture of me with my disguise for an arrest warrant as they want me so badly for stealing Penny.

Well, too bad fuckers it's finders keepers and loser weepers!

However, this wasn't unexpected for them to try everything they can to stop me. This is shooting my foot with a gun but no way Atlas will explain the reason because Penny was a secret that not even Ironwood showed Ozpin.

But adding the fact Penny became the Winter Maiden though… he will keep his mouth shut about this.

However, my train of thought was broken as Penny began to explain to me where to go as she found our destinated location as she pointed her fingers at the building as she holds me as she flew, "Ray! Look at the distance over there. The M3 or the Maiden 3 building is right there shall we proceed to do this mission old friend right?"

The confident and innocent smirk on her face was definitely cute but I held that in for now as I agreed to nod my head as we began to head towards the building, "Yeah, the sooner we get to the Winter Maiden for your power up the better. After that escaping this place is a must those guys won't dare try to find you if you were originally made to be a secret. After this, I know where to go next."

Penny next responds to me in a happy tone of voice as I flew us near the building, "Of course Ray friend! After all, I'm combat ready!"

Cute.

With that, we both began to hurry along to our destination as we can before they have a chance to retaliate. I already began to hack a Bullhead to our escape using my Semblance [Machina] but all of this is necessary for me to have a trump card of my own.

This is all risky and burned any bridges with the heroes but in the end, I have to look after myself by having a loyal android Winter Maiden.

Now time to go in balls blazing!
