Nighttime was the best time for predators to hunt, and at this moment the shadow forest was quiet. The gloomy atmosphere shrouding the entire forest could cause anybody to be disturbed.

Magical beasts are roaming everywhere inside the forest, searching for prey. The dark night was the perfect cover for them to hide and hunt as they wished.

Ryan felt that shadow forest truly lived up to its name. The entire forest was shrouded in dark shadows because of the tall tree, the amount of moonlight illuminating the ground is negligible, causing the entire forest to become a land of darkness.

It was the perfect scenario to commit a crime and murder, magical beasts roamed all over the place. And Ryan heard a few distant roars every once in a while.

These roars would aprubtly stop causing Ryan to shudder, he could imagine the scenario where a few magical beasts were fighting. And the silence that suddenly followed meant that a victor was decided, which means a life was lost at that moment.

Ryan relaxed a little, he could feel that these roars are far away, which meant that he was safe so far. However, his vigilance was raised to the maximum, since danger could be everywhere inside the forest and during nighttime, the danger would intensify.

Luckily for Ryan, the body refinement allowed him become stronger. He could feel that his senses became stronger and sharper, for example he could see in the dark which was why he was taking a risk by exploring the forest during nighttime.

Ryan was jumping between tree branches, sometimes he would directly jump from a tree to another and sometimes he would run across the tree branch before jumping to another.

What Ryan found was a deer, it was munching on grass, happily enjoying its meal but not for long. As Ryan found his first prey tonight, this deer is destined to die soon.

He could feel that the deer's strength wasn't higher than him, instead he felt no pressure from it. Unlike the rabbit, Ryan felt a little pressure from it previously. Such effect is caused by his recent increase in strength.

Ryan didn't think twice and he made his decision to hunt this poor deer. He lacked system points at this moment, since the last 30 System points he had were spent.

Ryan asked the system to buy food using all the system points he had before leaving the pocket dimension, which earned him a simple meal that filled his stomach.

And right now, he was broke completely.

Ryan jumped down from the tree, he was trying to make no sound as he made his way towards to his prey. Before jumping down, Ryan checked the surrounding, since he didn't want his prey to be snatched by another predator, he only relaxed after he found no anomaly around.

Ryan focused his attention on his prey. At this moment, he was 10 meters away from his target. He was hiding inside the bush right behind the deer.

He decided to strike the deer from its blind spot to finish it in one strike. He didn't want to repeat the same mistake he committed during his battle against the rabbit.

Ryan looked towards the deer, he spotted the difference between this deer and the deer he knew from his previous life.

Unlike the deer from his memories, this deer was covered in green fur with white spots, it was a weird sight to see a green deer, but Ryan didn't feel anything.

His threw away his common sense from his previous world when he saw the rabbit with a horn on its forehead. At that moment, he realized that his knowledge from his previous world won't be of much help to him.

Ryan felt that he won't be surprised even of he saw a dog with two heads and three tails.

At this moment, Ryan was waiting for the perfect moment to strike, which was the moment when the deer turned his head forward.

As the deer's head was turned to the side with Ryan hiding behind it. He felt that he would be exposed if he attacked at this moment so he waited.

And Ryan didn't have to wait for long as the deer turned its head forward and started to move. He didn't waste his time so he jumped as soon as the opportunity was given to him.

He launched his body like an arrow, he was faster compared to his previous speed as he used everything he had at this moment.

The deer didn't have enough time to react when it felt its head being severed from its body.

Ryan didn't show mercy as he struck with his tail, his tail was fast like a whip as it tore through the air and cut the deer's head completely. His movements were fast and ruthless, and most importantly, the entire process was silent and short.

Ryan didn't hesitate to kill this time, he wanted to finish his prey in one strike and he did so.

The deer's death earned him another 100 system points, Ryan decided to recycle the whole corpse earnings him another 75 points.

At this moment he had 175 SP, but he didn't feel happy. Since he was required to have 1000 system points to unlock the skill tree.

Ryan decided to continue hunting, since he used a little to no energy to kill the deer. He decided to hunt as much as he could until he was required to rest.
