First Quests and First created Skills

After reading through his OP stats and skills, Ares closed out of the screens. Just as he was wondering where the hell Bryan was, another two screens popped up in front of him. One was a friend request from none other than Bryan and the other was a video chat request from him. Ares quickly accepted both of them. A second later Bryans face appeared before him with a big grin plastered on it.

"Bro! I am so strong even though I am level 0. I took a stroll around to check everything out and I found out that 99% percent of the players here have stats only between 1 and 2. Some even have stats at 0! The strongest one I saw only had stats between 3 and 5. Hell, the lowest stat I have is a 5. Dude, we are gods right now. HAHAHA!" he said before Ares could even say anything.

"What did you expect? Did you think everybody was going to be like us, practicing mythic like skill in the real world? However, do not be lazy. Some hardcore players have a chance of catching up if you do. If you do and that happens, do not come crying to me. Anyway, what newbie town are you in?" Ares asked.

"I am in Newbie town number 0035. it looks pretty good for a starter town. I also found out we can not leave past 50 miles of the town until we reach level 10." he said with a slight frown.

"i knew that already. Start doing quests do level up. Also don't forget to see if you can cultivate your elements in game as well. You should have a passive skill that allows you to. We will meet up after level 10. Alright, later." Ares said.

"Later bro."

Ares disconnected the call and made his way to the adventurers guild to accept his first quests. % minutes later, he stepped through the doors of the guild. It was packed with players going to and from accepting and turning in quests. The game launched not long ago, but there were some who were already at level 3. Not wanting to fall to far behind, Ares made his way over to one of the boards that held quests. Each quest had a level requirement and difficulty. The difficulty ranged from F to Godly, with F being the easiest. You could only take a quest if you were within the required level range. You could also accept up to 5 quests at a time. Each quest had a reward for completing it as well as a punishment for failing. They were better or worse depending on the level of the quest as well as the difficulty. There were thousands upon thousands of low ranked quests for new players, so there was no trouble for Ares to look for one.

Within 10 minutes, he had already accepted 5 quests. To accept them, all one had to do was touch the quest that was on the board. A screen would appear in front of them with the details of it and a question asking if they would like to accept the quest. They just had to hit yes. Once one completed the quest, they had to return to the guild, approach one of the counters, and hit the turn in quest button when it popped up. Then they would have to hit accept rewards right after that. Simple process. The quests that Ares took were simple kill quests.

Quest 1: Kill 10 bears and collect their hides for Tailor John. Reward: 100 XP, 10 silver, +5 reputation with John. Failure: -100 XP, -10 silver, -10 reputation with John. Level requirement: 0-2. Quest difficulty: F

Quest 2: Kill 10 boars and collect their teeth for Tailor John. Reward: 100 XP, 10 silver, +5 reputation with John. Failure: -100 XP, -10 silver, -10 reputation with John. Level requirement: 0-2. Quest difficulty: F

Quest 3: Kill 10 wolves and collect their pelts for Tailor John. Reward: 150 XP, 15 silver, +10 reputation with John. Failure: -150 XP, -15 silver, -20 reputation with John. Level requirement: 0-4. Quest difficulty: E

Quest 4: Kill 10 Fire elementals and collect their fire cores for Blacksmith Yule. Reward: 200 XP, 20 Silver, +10 reputation with Yule. Failure; -200 XP, -20 Silver, -30 reputation with Yule. Level Requirement: 0-5. Quest difficulty: D

Quest 5: Kill 10 Wind elementals and collect their wind cores for Blacksmith Yule. Reward: 200 XP, 20 Silver, +10 reputation with Yule. Failure; -200 XP, -20 Silver, -30 reputation with Yule. Level Requirement: 0-5. Quest difficulty: D.

Finishing these quests would bring him at least close to level one. He would get 750 XP. To get to level one he would need 1000 XP. Each level after required another 1000, so level 2, you need 2000, level 3 3000 and so on up until level 10. Depending on how much each XP each monster gives, he just might continue grinding them until he gets to 250 XP. He would then turn in the quests to net himself the other 750 XP to level up.

With the quests accepted and a plan in mind, Ares left the guild and started to make his way out of town. As he was walking he enlarged the mini-map that was in the top right of his vision. When one accepted quests like these, the system would pins on the map at the location where the quest target was at. The pins on his map were close together, so the beasts were not too far away from each other, looking to be about only a mile or so between each one.

"Ahh! Damn! I forgot. I need to create some skills before taking these bastards on. Almost fucked myself over." Ares stopped and suddenly exclaimed.

He minimized the mini-map, and headed towards the gate to the town so he could find a secluded piece of land to create his skills. After quite the lengthy search, he finally found a spot. His mind on the way was not idle and thought about the skills he wanted to make. thankfully, with the memories of his other life, he made his choices for each element.

Immediately after reaching his chosen spot, he started with the fire skill. Looking around to make sure no one was around, he closed his eyes and imagined the skill, and what it looked like and what he wanted it to do. he imagined an arrow of fire that penetrated and burned a target. He imagined the arrow forming in the air and a target. He willed the arrow to fly through the air and hit it, piercing through its body and burning it to ash. At that moment, he heard a ding from the system. he opened his eyes and saw a new notification. he smiled when he read what it was.
