Unexpected Suprise and First major game event

Unexpectedly, when he investigated his bodies situation, he noticed that the beads were a bit stronger, closer to the next rank after he came out of the game. For some reason, they improved while he was in the game. Not only that he felt the earth energy as well as the water energy in his chest as well. They were not enough yet to form a bead but they were close, just a few more minutes of effort and they would be. He didn't think too much on why this happened for now as he just wanted to go to sleep. He headed into his room, got undressed, laid down, and passed out for the night.

By the time his eyes opened, it was 7 in the morning. The sun had just risen. Ares got up, took a shower and changed. He then walked into the kitchen for some breakfast. He found that Bryan was just finishing up his breakfast. "Hey, man, did you notice that when you exited the game, that the beads in your chest increased a bit in strength or is it just me?" he asked as he saw ares enter the kitchen. "I noticed as well. It's a bit weird. I don't understand why either. Perhaps we will find out in the future. For now, let us focus on using this to our advantage. Since it appears cultivating in game helps us out of game, our progress will be that much faster. I am gonna cultivate this new energy and try and form new beads. You should cultivate as well." Ares said and pulled a yogurt out of the fridge.

After eating, Ares stepped outside, went to his spot and started cultivating. He first started with the earth energy in his chest. since he already had amassed a good amount already, he only needed another 45 minutes to form the bead as compared the normal 2 or so hours it would have taken. he relished in the feeling he got from growing even stronger as he felt the energy course through him as the bead formed. his body grew another couple inches, and its toughness drastically improved. Wanting to push all his elements to rank 2 before by the end of the day, he continued with cultivating the earth energy. four hours later, earth was rank 2. he continued to the water element.

It was a humid day out as he sensed the moisture in the air. This coupled with the fact that he had a good amount already in his chest allowed him to get to rank 2 in the same amount of time. before ending his cultivation, he decided he would get wind to level 2 as well, since it was a perfect chance.

By the time he ended his cultivation it was already almost 9 at night. Still feeling good, he decided to head back into the game to turn in his quests.

A few minutes later.

Ares appeared at the re-spawn point in the town in a flash of light. He immediately set off to the guild to turn in the quests. He would turn them in to level up and spend as much time as necessary in the game cultivating to increase his stats as far as he could for his level. it was gonna take a while. When he arrived at the guild, it was lively as always, bustling with players. Ares set a course straight to the counters and turned the quests in. In all, he got 7000 EXP, 100 Silver or 1 gold coin, and 25 rep with the mayor. This pushed him to level 6 and just under halfway towards level 7.

With this done, Ares decided not to take on new quests and left the guild. He then left town and went to an area near the valley of storms to cultivate again. His stats were about to skyrocket again. He activated wind boost and arrived at the spot very quickly. As it would take longer and longer to cultivate as he leveled up, he needed to get there quicker to save time. He started immediately upon arrival. With 10 minutes to increase stats per element by +1, and that he could increase each up to +6, and him having 6 elements, it would take 6 hours to complete. It would only take longer the higher his level became.

6 hours past in a flash. At the end, his stats became even more unfair for his level. He was a broken character. if any other player saw this, they would have reported him for cheating.

Just as he looked at his new stats, a sudden system announcement blared out loud, startling the players.

Attention all players. A dark force and taken control of tall the beasts near newbie towns. they are planning an assault on all the towns to destroy humanities future gods. In 12 hours, they will lay siege to the towns. Please prepare to defend your homes, lives and pride. During the siege, if a player is killed by the beasts, they will not resurrect. They will be forcibly logged off and will not be able to log back on until the end of the siege. Players who participate in the siege will receive rewards depending on their performance. Two rankings will be added during the siege. An overall ranking that will rank the top players from every newbie town and newbie town rankings that rank the top players from a single town. Countdown to the siege begins now.

Then, in front of all the players, a notification popped up.

Quest initiated. Defend the town from the siege of beasts. In 12 hours, a tide of beasts will attack your town. Fight them off with your fellow towns people. Failure to defend will result in town destruction, loss of 2 levels, and ban from logging in for 1 week. Rewards for successful completion are +2 levels, 10 gold, and a random ranked equipment. Quest cannot be declined.

The sudden announcement and forced quest shook the players to their core. They all immediately started shouting and freaking out.

"What the hell! We can't decline? What kind of bullshit is this?" one warrior shouted.

"HAHAHA! Perfect chance to show off my power! Bring it! I will show the world that I am the best player!"

"Heaven Destroyer guild! Report back to the town within 10 hours for the event. If you do not appear, you will be booted!"

Despite the reactions of the players, the next 48 hours in the game would bring out some of the best players the game had to offer. It was a players chance to become known and rise above others.

In an area near the valley of storms, Ares let out a grin.

"What perfect timing. My first chance to show the world my strength as well as a chance to earn some money."
