Pan sighed softly as he gazed upon the horizon, the soft light of the moon illuminating the whole island. Pan leaned against the trunk of the tree, relaxing as he flipped his dagger up into the air, letting it fall before catching it in his hand again. He sighed softly, looking down towards the tents, as he reminisced on old times.
He looked back towards the sky as he thought about the times when the sprites roamed the shores, and the Peryton galloped through the trees. As he thought about these things, firefly like insects started to light up around him and the camp. He smiled softly as he stood up, looking around the camp, leaning against a branch that acted like a railing. He looked at the insects sleepily as he watched them dance across the black sky.
During the day these insects look like beautiful floating flowers, that fall from the sky. Their wings are almost clear but are almost as strong as spiders silk. Their bodies are a green color and look like the bud of a flower, their wings go from a soft yellow to a bright starry midnight purple. They have bright yellow eyes that have orange flexions in them.
They kind of just let the wind take them, but during the night they fly in swarms across the island, lighting a path for the Night Stalker. There used to be over 100 Night Stalkers that roamed the island at night, though over the years as the moons grew farther away from the planet, they started to return home.
Now only one remained, and it was likely to pass on the island. The moon had drifted too far for the creature to jump onto the rays of the moonlight and run home, so the creature now roamed the island aimlessly, every night before the full moon. Appearing as bright as the full moon, standing near the oceans and replenishing the waters and the magical energy throughout the island.
Pan looked up as a tall deer-like spirit broke through the tree, looking around. The deer looked lost, the symbols that go down the neck of the creature. They glow a brilliant blue color that made the land around it shimmer with the same blue color. It looked around as if it was searching for something, but was careful of where it stepped. It had become somewhat of a guardian of Neverland over the years as the others disappeared.
This spirit stood at about 125 meters tall and was about 42 meters wide. Pan jumped slightly as Bell softly placed her hand on his shoulder, looking up at the spirit amazed. Pan sighed softly, exhaling softly as he put his dagger into its sheath on his thigh. "You should say something so you don't get stabbed..."
Bell rolled her eyes and shook her head, a small tinkling sound rattling around the woods. "You know I am limited in the sounds I make!" She said and Pan couldn't help but hunch over in laughter, Bell scoffed and shook her head as Pan gasped for air. Bell looked over at Pan, a soft smile sat upon her lips.
Neither of them noticed as the Night Stalker notices them as the twinkling bell sound rattled throughout the trees. It walked closer and bows down, bringing its head down to look into the two having a good time. As Pan stood up straight, he looked up to the bright blue swirling eyes of the spirit, amazed as he grew quiet.
Bell went to say something, before noticing Pan's expression, she turned around, the creature's muzzle meeting her stomach. She inhaled softly, meeting the eyes of the Night Stalker. As they made eye contact, the symbols on the deer's neck light up as the Pixie Dust on Bell shimmers brightly.
The Night Stalker makes a low groan before exhaling, a gust of wind that smelled like the meadows to the South. The creature's breath sent a gust of Luna Volar's swirling past them as it slowly lifted its head to walk away. Bell felt a surge of magical energy run throughout her body before she stumbled back a little, surprised as the wind brushed against her softly.
She looked at Pan who had his eyes closed, the Luna Volar floating past him, he looked blissful. Bell stayed quiet as they both enjoyed the beautiful environment that the Night Stalker created as it slowly walked away, it's footsteps silent as it searched for home. After about 10 minutes the Luna Volar started to disappear and the soft smell of the meadow slowly fading.
Pan sighed softly as he looked towards Bell who looked ecstatic. Pan chuckled softly and crossed his arms. "Did you get a blessing?" Bell nodded and hugged herself as she hopped up and down excitedly. She signed quickly as she danced around, explaining what just happened, even though Pan watched most of the experience.
Pan chuckled softly before he leaned back against the trunk of the tree, relaxing a little. Bell sighed contently as she slumped down onto the branch. Though she looked tired, she felt surges of energy through her body from the Night Stalkers blessing. It was amazing to even see a Night Stalker around people who were awake since they seemed to hide behind the dreams of the sleeping.
Bell looked up towards the starry night sky as everyone calmed down, Pan nodded off to sleep. Bell looked around curiously as she looked for something to pass the time, while she sat in the watchtower. She stood up and silently hopped up onto one of the branches, reaching for a prickly sphere, carefully grabbing it as she climbed back down. Once she made it back down she scrambled through the objects in her pocket, pulling out an acorn, two helicopter seeds and a stick.
She sat there for about twenty minutes, trying to be careful not to prick herself on the prickly sphere. She smiled softly as she looked at the creature she had made, thinking for a moment before carefully climbing down. They liked to save the old coals to start up new fires, finding them, she drew a small face onto the object.
She turned around quickly as she heard Pan climbing down the tree. "What's that?" He said sleepily, rubbing his eyes as he slowly walked over, squinting at the object in her hand. She smiled and showed him the small puppet. "It's what I imagine an autumn fairy looking like if they were tiny" She smiled softly, looking down at the object.
Tinks smile softly faded before she looked up towards Pan. "Maybe we can bring it down to the Soultaur caves, see if they like them?" Pan smiled softly and nodded ruffling her hair before bringing her into a hug. "Why not kid..."
Bell nodded and held onto it, almost protecting the object. Pan smiled softly before looking towards the sky, seeing the black, slowly lightening up. "Let's go watch the sunrise before we get the boys up..." Bell looked up towards the starry sky that was slowly disappearing, before nodding, following Pan back up into the watchtower.
