The Boys

Pan and Bell watched the sunrise before going and getting breakfast ready. They had a long day ahead of them, Pan was travelling to the Indian Camp. Though it was dangerous he needed a quick route over there, so he was going to go across the out cove. He wasn't originally planning on bringing anyone with him, but he changed his mind, deciding to bring a few of the younger boys.

That way they could interact with others their age and get away from the Hangman's tree again. Once everyone finished breakfast, Pan went into the Hangman's tree and started packing a bag, only grabbing essentials. Bell walked in a few minutes later, watching as Pan frantically ran around the tree, jumping up and sliding down as he looked for things. "Ugh, these boys are such a mess!"

He yelled, kicking over one of the tables, he turned around, seeing Bell as she tried climbing up, though failing miserably. He sighed, calming himself down as he went to help her up. "Are the boys ready?" He said as he grabbed his bag, though he didn't have everything he needed. Bell sighed softly, flustered that she couldn't help herself up. She dusted herself off glaring towards the table, shaking her head as she crossed her arms.

She looked back up towards Pan tapping her foot as she waited for an explanation. "Just the boys, always so messing up the house..." He chuckled and picked the table up, placing it next to the couch. Bell looked at him, giving him a 'really? ' kind of look. As Pan turned around Bell softly pushed Pan, sighing softly before making eye contact, Pan slightly confused. "You need to stop getting angry over little things, the boys what notice when somethings wrong. So-"

She thought for a second before continuing to sign. "You have to stay here till your calm!" She nodded and gave him a stern look, kind of like a mother yelling at a child. Pan chuckled and nodded, leaning back on the table. "Alright, I'll stay for five minutes and then I have to get going..."

Bell always knew when Pan needed help, even if he never asked for it. Sometimes he didn't know how she could tell exactly how he felt, but he wasn't complaining. The reminder of who he was and why he stayed in Neverland was nice. After the five minutes had gone by, he pushed himself up off the table and started making his way back down.

Once Pan left, Bell sighed softly, running her hands through her hair as she paced around the room. Pan had been getting worse, more careless ever since things had gotten rough on the east side of Neverland. Pan felt like he had to take on the world himself, that everyone else's problems were his.

Pan made his way down to the ground, meeting with the group who would be staying in the Hangman's tree. He looked towards the boys, who were quickly packing up the tents and tables. He helped them pack up and once everything was cleaned up, the boys stood in front of the tree waiting for Pan's orders. Pan sighed softly and looked at the group curiously.

"Listen, today I'm going to be bringing Fox, Nibs, Tootles, and the Twins with me. The rest of you, I need you to stay here and protect the Hangman's tree." The boys nodded, saluting as the rest of the boys, smiled before marching inside. They all thought it was a game, which was one of the great things about Pan's magic. It gave the illusion of what Neverland used to be, bright and magical, just a child being in Neverland, they saw the illusions that Pan had put up years ago.

Pan gathered the boys who were coming with him, a smile on his face. As the rest of the boys went inside, he squatted down to the boys level. Fox was about 9 years old, he had blonde hair that had dirt all up in it. He always seemed to wear Sienna brown or darker orange clothes on, though he was always covered in dirt.

Most of the boys were always covered in dirt, mostly from playing but others seemed to use it as war paint. Nibs also had blonde hair though it always looked brown since he loved to style his hair with the mud. He was a little younger than Fox, he was about 7 years old. He always carried a stick, which he used as a sword. He wore forest greens and browns which helped him stay hidden. He always had two rabbit's feet attached to his belt.

The Twins were 7 years old like Nibs, except they didn't come from the same mother. Binky had pale skin that was always covered in dirt, he had ginger hair and a face full of freckles. Marmaduke had Umber colored skin that was as dark as trees in the night. He had black hair that curled in his face. They both wore yellow and brown clothes and they always drew strips on their right arms, that almost looked like a racoons tail.

Tootles was a lot younger than most of the lost boys, he was about 5 years old. He had dark brown hair that was always covered in a white pelt, probably from a rabbit or deer. He always wore black with a pair of forest green pants. He was always making up stories about great lands far beyond what they could see. It was Pan's favorite to sit in front of a fire and tell stories with the help of Tootles.

A big smile went across Pan's face as he looked at the five boys that were coming with him. "You all ready for an adventure?" He bounced up as the boys cheered. He chuckled and started jogging towards the shoreline, the boys following him. Along the way he was watching out for creatures, stopping and showing them the friendly creatures. At one point Pan stopped the marching group of boys behind him, looking around curiously through the rustling leaves.

As the boys looked around, everyone silent a Peryton slowly walked through the bushes as it grazed. It had a thick lion-like mane that went down its back. Its body was a stunning black color with light green stripes and its main was the same light green color with dark green highlights throughout. It had horns that curved back behind its head and its ears were hidden within its main. Its hooves sunk as it walked through the muddy forest, looking up as it noticed the group.

Pan looked the creature in the eyes, it seemed lost, since they usually travelled in herds. Pan slowly knelt down, placing his hand on Tootles' shoulder, nodding his head towards the Peryton. "You know, this creature is from one of the first herds that ever arrived here on Neverland. You can tell by the coloring on the coat, underneath its eyes." Pan said, taking his finger and running it under his eye, showing Tootles where to look.

The creature indeed did have a coloring underneath its eye that shined a soft blue color, that ran throughout its coat. Pan looked at the boys, all of them mesmerized by the creature as it went about its business, seeing no threat in Pan or the boys. Once the creature had passed Pan stood up and continued walking, the boys marching behind him.

It took them another 3 hours before they finally reached the shoreline. Pan looked around for the small boat he had hidden away, that could fit six. Pan helped the boys onto the boat and then got in himself, pushing off the shore as they made their way to the Indian Camp.
