Midnight's POV
"Did he hit your head that hard for you to start spewing nonsense!?" I asked.
She rolled her eyes and ignored my question,
"Even though I don't approve of it, she still requested your presence." She said and I frowned,
"What does she want with me?"
"Not my place to tell." Crossing her arms she continued, "A plane will pick you up shortly to escort you to Germany." She stated in a monotone voice
I blinked a couple of times trying to digest the information
"What if I refuse?" I asked making her sigh in irritation.
"And where will you go if you do that?" Lynne retorted.
"You're probably being hunted by the Crimson Red Gang right now and I'm pretty sure you'll probably be killed tonight, just face it there's no other way."
She smirked victoriously at me and before I could answer. The wind suddenly blew stronger, I look up to see a plane descending from its appearance a Cessna Citation. We took a couple of steps back as the plane landed on the clearing. A man in his mid-40s came out wearing a pilot's uniform bowed at us and I looked at Lynne with a confused expression,
"Go she's waiting for you," she said beckoning me to go.
"You're not going with me?" I asked and she shook her head no, "I have more things to do." She said, "I'll catch up to you later."
I walked towards the plane still doubting my decisions about all of this, palms sweaty and shaky from fear of boarding a plane for the first time. My mind whirled with endless possibilities for me to regret this later but If I don't get on this plane, my life would end tonight. With that thought in mind, I climbed up the stairs in defeat. At the top the pilot greeted me and I greeted back, a small smile etched through my lips.
"Oh! And if I were you, I better hurry; she's not a patient kind of person, so good luck in getting killed tonight!" I could hear Lynne exclaimed behind making me snicker.
"You better attend my funeral then," I said with a smile though it probably looked like a grimace.
I boarded the plane with hesitance but brushed it off as I took my seat, gripping the armrest with both hands to try to ease the growing anxiety inside me, at this point I don't know if I'm going to puke my guts out or have a panic attack. I could only hope to get there as fast as possible, with a deep sigh, I felt the plane started to ascend to the skies.
Hours later, the plane arrived in Germany and the first thing I noticed was that my former statement was on point. Minutes after arriving, I hurled my guts out the overall experience of riding a plane for the very first time had its effects and the last few hours had been nothing but torture. I wiped my mouth after getting everything out from my system then gurgled a little mouthwash. I'm never going to ride a plane ever again, it just doesn't sit right with me and my stomach couldn't agree more. Exiting the stall using the walls as support to steady me from the dizziness, my vision was spinning from the hellish ride and I could only still myself from doubling over. It took me a few minutes to get my senses back in shape, slowly stepping down from the set of stairs gripping the handrail when the pilot saw my sluggish form, he helped me by offering his hand to guide me down. Finally stepping on a concrete floor, I could feel relief washing over me. I thank the pilot before letting go of his hand, venturing forward with a shudder I made my way to the door.
"Miss,"
the pilot called behind me, I turned around to see the pilot at the latch
"I forgot to tell you; Miss Hanabi will be waiting for you at the Main Hall."
He informed and I gave him a curt nod walking straight to an elevator. Pressing the button that says 1f, the button glowed red as the metal doors closed and started its descend. I let out a shaky breath in an attempt to calm my nerves down, humming along to a tune as I waited for my designated floor. I'm as confused as you guys are right now, who knows? I'm probably going to get killed the moment I stepped out of this elevator or maybe I can finally wake up from this nightmare or... or I get to be magically saved by a magical unicorn that I could ride to a land of sunshine and rainbows! pshhh, what kind of crap am I thinking, like that would actually happen.
Everything that happened throughout my miserable life has only caused me pain, my only wish was for it to finally stop and free me from the shackles that bind. The only thing I could do now is to accept my long-awaited death. Maybe hell isn't a bad place as they claimed it to be, I thought as another memory resurfaced...

On that day I was pissed off at my so-called mother, She was drunk and not in the mood, and just by being there made her anger shift to me.
"Hey, Mid what's with the long face?" My friend asked as he took a seat beside me.
Recently this was our met up place; on the rooftop of my apartment
"Nothing," I answered smiling to hide the obvious lie but of course he saw through it
"It's your mother again isn't it?"
The question made me grimace, the smile dropping as I hugged my knees laying my chin on top of them
"I'm thinking of running away."
My declaration made his eyes widen
"Where will you go if you do that?" his voice was low laced with worry
"I don't know yet, I'll figure it out on the way." I answered, "Anywhere's better than here."
"That's a bad idea even for me." He chuckled, warm brown eyes looking at me in constant concern.
"I would rather die than stay here," I mumbled and he laughed at my declaration
"You? going to die?... yeah right, as if that would actually happen." He joked in a teasing voice, "You're the bravest and the most courageous girl I have ever met, you probably won't believe this now but you are destined for greater, better things."
I punched him on the shoulder a little to wipe that smug look on his face
"Stop being over-dramatic, you idiot." I snorted
"No, but seriously live, Mid," He said in a serious voice while patting my head "even if the whole world is against you; stand up, move forward, and prove them wrong."

I was bought back to reality when the elevator doors dinged and opened, shaking off the memory with distaste. Come on Mid you need to stop thinking about him, you need to move on as he had with you. Stepping out of the elevator to see dark hallways, I pulled out my phone turning on the torch to have some light. Following the path till I have reached a big room with an altar at its farthest side, The whole experience was giving me the creeps like in one of those horror movies where the main character goes to an abandoned building and like there would be a monster hiding in the shadows, he would wait before he makes a jump on you and dragged you to his home to eat you later on.
Yup this has that kind of vibe going on here, I could feel the hairs on my arms stand at the thought. In further inspection the room was supported with big white pillars and a diamond-encrusted chandelier, to be honest, the whole room looks like a church; with benches on each side and the ceiling with a painting of an angel playing a golden harp.
I walked down the aisle, gems encrusted into the path and as I look to the altar, a boy was sitting on top who looks like a grim reaper with his get up. His back was facing me and from the low whispers, I could tell he was chanting something. I stopped when I was only a foot away from him.
"Well, this is unexpected,"
A voice said, which I'm pretty sure's coming from him. He got off from the altar with a small thud
"No one mentioned about a guest coming today." He stated as he turned to look at me,
he had messy black hair and intense blue eyes, Like the rebel that he is only wearing black and leather.
"Who are you!?!"
I pathetically asked and he chuckled as he went towards me.
"The more important question is... Who are you? "with an amused tone, he started inspecting me like a predator toying with his food, "Perhaps, you must be lost." He hummed behind me, making me jump a little at the sudden closeness, "Oh, poor little bunny," He cooed "you just walked into the lion's den."
The hell? Did he just insult me for being weak? 'No one gets away with insulting me that easily... especially not someone who cosplays as Death.' I thought.
