Chapter 2

The council members, the Queen and the citizens emissaries, all assembled at the royal hall, they all sat, assorted in different positions in accordance to their ranks and categories.

In a horizontal row of seats, the legislatives took the middle row, and they were flanked by the emissaries on the left and administrative council flanked their right side, the Queen sat in front of them, utterly set back from them.

Bowen cauldron was called forward to testify against the Queen and call out her crimes and omissions, Bowen was commissioned as an emissary because, he knew many facts concerning the demilitarized frontier,

''We call forth Bowen cauldron to testify.'' Auxilio Carnegie, called him to stage to.

''Remember Bowen, every citizen is counting on you.'' Eniel whispered to him before he stood from his chair,

Bowen walked to the stage nervously, and stood in between the Queen and council, it was really nervy for him, standing before the Queen and council members.

Bowen kept shaking his feet that made a clumping sound, and pangs of fear and twitches called forth by nervousness flushed in him, Bowen knew he had no choice other than doing it or be called a failure by the citizens, reneging wasn't an option after promising the citizens they would come out in flying colours, their names have been hollered around town, and people calling them the saviours would make Bowen to not want to loose the case.

He breathed in and puffing out hot air, as a way to muster courage, while the council members rummaged in an assemblage of files and pastiches of exhibits, trying to sort out the needful for the current event.

Auxilio Carnegie brought an exhibit that had the Queen's crimes and omissions written on it.

He held it up.

Cleared his throat, and said

''So,the first allegation is-.'' Auxilio said, while opening the scroll.

Bowen interrupted, for his understatement, he cleared his throat and said to Auxilio

''Excuse me Auxilio, everything written on that scroll aren't allegations, I'd rather call them facts.''

He said, exhibiting forensic tactics.

Auxilio left it to slide and continued.

''The first fact written here, is the demilitarization of the frontier,'' auxilio said.

Bowen took over and said.

''Yes, we know very well that, nambiti is a threat to every land beside it, they have been several cases of nambitians pulling off heists and kidnapping our beloved women.'' He said, with a little sloppiness in the rhythm of his speech.

Bowen rummaged in his pocket and brought out the picture of a wench.

''This young lady in this picture was kidnapped a few months ago.'' Bowen gave the picture to Auxilio Carnegie.

''Pass it to the nearest man.'' He said before continuing his speech.

''She was kidnapped by nambitians who were smuggled into this land through the frontier, by their brothers in diaspora here.''

''Her family searched for her for many months, but couldn't find her.''

Bowen said, while the picture was going round, everyone who looked at the picture was astounded considering it was a young beautiful lady that could be 17-20 years age band.

''But they later found her laying unconscious in a field near the holy mountains.''

Bowen squelched and Walked around for a while, the whole council were quiet, making it more convenient for Bowen to speak without getting flustered.

his loafers clumped and everyone waited in anticipation for what he would say, a suspenseful ambience was made in the Hall following the intriguing story, that had everyone craving for the rest of it, both the antagonists and protagonists.

''When she was found, she was pregnant already and had been infected with several diseases, and she had vaginal fistula due to violent rape.''

Just as the story was horrible the word rape sounded disgusting to bowen, he barely said the word aloud and with a straight face.

The whole council were disgusted probably because of the visuals of Bowen's speech.

Auxilio was afraid Bowens words were strengthening the grip on tangible reasons for impeaching the Queen, the Queen was afraid and marveled as well, she barely had the thought that her reputation and impeachment would take a dent from the unlikeliest of people, a rookie in forensic knowledge.

Aricia covered up her worries as usual by giving a vile mien.

The heaviness of the effects from the unprotected frontier looked viable in resetting the corrupted minds of the legislative, it could cause the legislatives to forfeit the idea of taking her offer and render justice by impeaching her, because the effects of the demilitarized frontier was very horrible and delineated how incompetent her leadership is.

Bowen cauldron kept worsening the situation for the Queen, by saying more ugly effects of the unprotected frontier.

''Murdoch grizzel the physician, after running tests on her and a few investigations.

Confirmed she was raped by twelve different men.'' Bowen said.

Comments flurried amongst the council members, the administrative mostly, whispers and harangues due to agitation was spread all over the hall.

Bowen kept speaking and had to make his voice stentorian, and his words came out in quick successions.

''Tell me why the frontier shouldn't be guarded, this is one of the highest incompetence a leader can exhibit!.''

Bowen yelled with so much audacity, his morale grew as time progressed, the fear and nervousness to say what he wanted went out, he then bombarded the whole council with facts that should be considered and should imminently get the Queen impeached.

''Gentlemen and council members, let me advice us that we made an enemy our leader, and she should be impeached as soon as possible.''

Eniel gave Bowen an ugly look with disapproval to his untactful speech, he wanted Bowen to be diplomatic, Eniel feared it would draw dangerous attentions to the pacifists, Bowen shrugged off his message, and said what he needed to say.

''She, demilitarized only the frontier between us and nambiti,

And left other frontiers like lemuria, Yellowstone and the rohans & centils guarded,

''We know very well nambiti is a land that is dearth of resources and pastures, and the nomadic inhabitants known for frequent diasporic settlements should be a factual reason why the frontier should be guarded, and nambitians are more violent than other lands that share frontiers with us, following the fact of years of nonstop civil war that is still extant.

All these I've adduced should be significant reasons why the frontier should be militarized, but then it's not, why?, because our leader, a member of nambitian diaspora is trying to save her people and forgot her underlings, we the nirvanians are her underlings.

Council members I am perturbed by how wisdom eluded you and you weren't able to notice the queen's prejudicial act.''

Eniel and the administrative council enjoyed the speech because of Bowen's factual testaments, and professional forensic exhibition, Auxilio and the legislative didn't find the speech interesting, but they couldn't make Bowen to stop talking, it will only show they are in alliance with the queen and her prejudicial act.

Bowen concluded his speech on a high.

He went to his chair, leaving the Queen's reputation in jeopardy, when Bowen reached his seat Eniel camari gave him an affectionate hand shake for a well done job, eniel somehow believed Bowen's testament was enough to get the Queen impeached.

''I think that packed quite a punch.'' Bowen complemented his brave speech,

''Let's not conclude it would be enough to get her impeached.'' Bowen said, he made Eniel not to get his hopes high.

''I understand.''

''I noticed something while I was speaking,''

''What,?.''

''The legislative council, they were acting like all am saying were insignificant, I think the Queen has their support.''

Bowen said although he didn't have enough proof about that, but he kept convincing himself with what he saw, that Aricia bought the legislative council.
