Chapter 7

"There's....there's..." Hessa panicked.

"What? What is it?" I whispered cautiously.

"Why are you guys whispering? I'll go and check what all this is about." Maddie said boldly and entered the tent.

She came back and gave a stern look to Hessa "Seriously girl? There's nothing there! Why are you so scared?"

We all looked at Hessa simultaneously "Why are you guys staring at me? I swear I saw someone there!" Hessa tried assuring us that she wasn't lying.

"What do you mean?" Sally asked.

"I mean when I entered the tent I saw someone standing there and it just scared me! I don't know who that person was!"

"Are you sure someone was actually in there?" Riya enquired while rolling her eyes.

"Of course I'm sure! Why would I lie?" Hessa exclaimed.

"Alright alright! We believe you. Let's go and investigate." I replied calmly.

We all entered the tent and started searching for any clue that would tell us that someone was in here.

After a few moments Ady gave a surprised shout and said excitedly "Look guys I found a bracelet! Does it belong to anyone of you?"

All of us took turns in examining the bracelet but sure enough it didn't belong to any of us.

"Then who does it belong to?" Ady asked exasperated.

"I am sure it belongs to that Crazy Girl who followed us in the morning!" Ritz exclaimed excitedly and looked as if she had solved a mystery case.

"Not her again!" Nancy and I sighed together.

"What? Who followed you in the morning? Why don't I know about this?" Sally shouted.

So Ritz told everyone about the morning incident while me and Nancy just stood aside shaking our heads.

"And that's why I think it's that Crazy Girl who was in our tent right now!" Ritz concluded her story.

"For God's sake Ritz! You cannot just blame anyone like that. Do you have any proof to show that this bracelet belongs to that girl?" Nancy yelled angrily.

"I think Nancy's right. We cannot be so sure that it was that girl and even if she was then how did she disappear and why didn't we see her leaving?" I supported Nancy.

Everyone voiced their agreement.

"I guess you are right." Ritz murmured.

"Then who was here? I'm so tired of this already." Maddie whined a little.

"We don't know but we'll find out." Sally said determinedly.

"Yeah I support you Sally! We'll find out clues and see who this bracelet belongs to the first thing in the morning. We should go to sleep now. I'm exhausted!" Hessa piped up.

We all nodded in agreement and decided to call it a night. As I slid into my sleeping bag I felt a paper crumbling. I took it out and felt that it was crumpled in a ball shape.

"Must be from someone's backpack. Stupid people can't even keep the tent clean!" I thought irritably and fell asleep after tossing the paper in my bag.

I woke up late the next morning and found everyone was awake except Riya. I went out of the tent to find everyone engrossed in a deep conversation.

"What are you guys talking about? What's wrong?" I asked.

Everyone jumped.

"Jeez Emily! You scared us! and morning to you too!" Maddie replied sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes and asked again "So what were you discussing?"

"Listen Emily there's something very important we need to tell you." Ady said with a serious face.

I must admit I was scared. I nodded my head showing I was listening with full attention so Sally continued "So listen me and Ady took a walk towards the bonfire and it was still empty! We decided to check everyone's 'chamber' and guess what? There's not even a single person here!"

I was shocked to hear this and for a moment I was lost for words! I mean how could you be fine when someone tells you that the place where you are camping at has no one left and you are the only ones remaining!

I snapped out of my daze and saw that all of them were staring at me and waiting for my reply "So you mean to tell me that we are the only people left in PWDBR? Are you guys sure?" I enquired.

Everyone nodded with sympathic smiles.

"What is happening here? There's something definitely wrong with this place. By the way did you guys check the main entrance? We can also leave from here and visit our next destination a bit early?" I suggested after calming myself a little.

Sally put a comforting arm around me and replied softly "Yes, we did check that and it's locked! And moreover there's a metal gate in front of the main entrance blocking our only way out. Which means even if we get across the main gate we wouldn't be able to cross the metal gate."

After hearing this I started hyperventilating and rambling "How are you guys so calm about this? Can't you see we are in big trouble? We don't even have proper network in our phones! How will we get out of here and what if...."

My rambling was cut short by Nancy saying "Calm down Emily! Everything will be fine. We will find a way. We are all in this together!"

Something about her tone calmed me down and I took deep breaths before realizing her last words "Hey didn't you just quote High School Musical?" I asked.

Everyone started laughing hysterically and I couldn't help but join them.

Something or you could call a gut feeling, told me that no matter how bad this situation was, these girls are with me. I probably wouldn't survive this alone. We all have each other's support and we will overcome this together or in Nancy's words 'We are all in this together!'
