Taking the recruitment test
A week passed by quickly, Lin Kai could've got in trouble for killing someone in the inn, but nobody reported it since even if Lin Kai got arrested, he would've killed them before he would get caught.
Lin Kai used this time to try and break through to the 10th stage of the earth roaming realm, but needed a little more time to break through.
Lin Kai decided to stop cultivating, he filled his hours with another 5 basins of wine and tied it on his yukata's belt, and went to the town's center to try his luck with the sect.

She was a real beauty with light red almost pink hair, she had pink eyes and looked like she would bring trouble anywhere she went.
"Ah, sir must have not heard what happened yet, apparently Underworlds sect had attacked heavens mountain sect and heavens mountain sect suffered some losses and is preparing to go to war with Underworld sect, a lot of people didn't want to offend Underworld sect since everyone there is crazy." The girl told Lin Kai.
"Why? Are you also planning on joining Heavens mountain sect, if so then we'll be sect mates, if I get in that is. Also, take this coin back, if we're going to be sect mates, we can just rely on each other." She said to Lin Kai.

Suddenly a teen came with a fan in his hand, Lin Kai had the impulse to punch him but stopped himself since he looked like a young master from a family.
He had long hair that was a little bit under his shoulders, he had half of it in a bun and the rest flowed in the wind, he looked pretty decent in everyone's eyes.
"Beauty Li, what are you doing with this dog?" The young master said looking at Lin Kai.
Lin Kai's veins could be seen popping out his forehead, "Nothing, just a dead man walking."
Lin Kai looked at the teen.

An awkward silence could be felt between them three, suddenly Hao Ran started laughing with tears, "HAHAHAHAH, What're you going to do? Kill me?" He said while laughing his ass off.
"Possibly." Lin Kai replied without hesitation.
"Wh-" as Hao Ran tries to say something, Lin Kai ignores him and starts to talk to Cheng Li.
"If you knew that heavens mountain sect and Underworld have beef, why would you still join?" Lin Kai asked her.
"Beef?" Cheng Li asked confused.
Hao Ran is still trying to get in the conversation but they both ignored him. "Haaa, I meant problems, why would you join if they are about to fight?"
"That's because Underworld sect disciplines invaded my village, and if it wasn't for Hao Ran's family coming to the rescue, we wouldn't have survived." Cheng li explained to Lin Kai.
"Of course my family saved your village, my family is know for entering heavens mountain sect and doing good deeds." Hao Ran had his head held up high as if he was telling everyone he was proud to be apart of Hao family.
Everyone at the center could hear a loud voice that wasn't far but wasn't close, "Silence!! For those that have came to join the heavens mountain sect recruitment go to the left side, those who just want to watch, go to right side." They heard these words as an elder of the heavens mountain sect descended from the air, and landed on the seat.
Most of the people went to the right side while only about 38 people went to the left side.
Lin Kai looked at the elder,

"Alright, everyone will come up to the evaluation stone, it will test your talent, those who aren't qualified, please come next year." The elder quickly said.
Talent were split into, white, green, purple, blue, black, red, gold and, broken, with white being the lowest and broken being the highest, broken meant that someone's talent is so great that he broke a bit of the evaluation stone or it stopped working.
"Blue talent."
"Green talent, but don't worry, there are pills that boost someone's talent."
"Black talent!"
"Purple talent."
"G-Gold talent!!! Young master Hao Ran actually has gold talent!!!" Everyone in the audience were staring, not a lot of people could become a gold talent!
After the audience calmed down, they turned to the next person, thinking that this streak of talents would continue.
It was Cheng li's turn, Cheng li put her hand on the evaluation stone and... a white light appeared, everyone started making fun of her.
"Such trash tried to join the heavens mountain sect, her cultivation barely even qualified for it!"
"If she gets in, then I will be able to join even if I haven't cultivated!"
